Glanwydden

Ysgol y Creuddyn (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈəskɔl ə ˈkrɛɨðɨn]) is a Welsh-medium secondary school, situated in Penrhyn Bay outside Llandudno, Wales, named after the Creuddyn peninsula. The school was founded on Wednesday, the 2nd of September 1981 with 218 students, and is now home to over 600 students. Students are bilingual, with all subjects taught in the Welsh language (apart from English and French lessons) up to GCSE level. The school is the predominant Welsh language school in the area, and it serves pupils from a wide area including Abergele, Colwyn Bay, Betws yn Rhos, Conwy, Llandudno, Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr and Eglwysbach. The school teaches children from the ages of 11 to 18, and is well known for students attaining successful grades at GCSE and A-level.

Ysgol Glanwydden is a Welsh Primary school in Glanwydden, near Llandudno, for 3-11 year olds. The school celebrated its hundred-year anniversary in 2010, with the building being completed in 1910 and opening to students in spring 1911. In October 2010 the school had 274 pupils.

Penrhyn Bay (Welsh: Bae Penrhyn "headland bay") is a small town on the northern coast of Wales, in Conwy county borough, within the parish or community of Llandudno, and part of the ecclesiastical parish of Llanrhos. It is a prosperous village, with a cluster of local shops, a pub, a parish church and a modern medical centre with doctors' surgery at the foot of the pass over the shoulder of the Little Orme from Llandudno Bay. Here there is a highschool called Ysgol y Creuddyn and a primary school called Ysgol Glanwydden. It is considered to be a residential suburb of Llandudno lying east of the Little Orme. It adjoins the resort of Rhos-on-Sea and covers a large part of the Creuddyn peninsula. The population of Penrhyn Ward at the 2011 census was 4,883.

Llangystennin (sometimes spelt Llangwstennin) is a rural parish to the south-east of Llandudno and Llanrhos in Conwy County Borough, north Wales. Llangystennin includes Llangwstennin Hall, the villages of Mochdre, Pabo and Bryn Pydew and the small town of Llandudno Junction. The parish takes its name from St. Cystennin (Constantine) who is said to be a son of St. Helen of Caernarfon (Elen Luyddog) together with whom and with his brother St. Peblig he is credited with introducing into Wales in the 5th century the Celtic form of monasticism from Gaul.

Mochdre & Pabo railway station was located on the eastern edge of the village of Mochdre, Conwy (historically Denbighshire).

Bryn Pydew is a small settlement to the east of Llandudno Junction in North Wales. The limestone hill of Bryn Pydew reaches 128 metres (420 feet) above sea level. The population is around 451 people. Bodysgallen Hall is nearby. Bryn Pydew is home to one of the 36 sites of the North Wales Wildlife Trust, in addition to the nearby Marl Hall Woods.

The Little Ormes Head Quarry tramway was a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge industrial railway operating at three levels within the extensive limestone quarry on the Penrhyn Bay side of the Little Orme at Llandudno on the North Wales coast.

The Little Orme (Welsh: Rhiwledyn, also known as Trwyn y Fuwch, Trwyn y Gogarth and Y Gogarth Fach) is 141 metres (463 ft) in height, and is a HuMP (having a minimum Hundred Metre Prominence). It is one of two headlands situated at either end of Llandudno Bay, in Conwy County Borough, Wales. The other, larger, headland is the Great Orme. It has two summits, the higher with a trig point.

Coleg Llandrillo (English meaning: Llandrillo College) is a college in the north of Wales. After its merger in 2012, Grwp Llandrillo Menai became Wales' largest further education institution.

The ruined remains of Llys Euryn (Welsh: [ˈɛirɪn]; AYR-in) sit upon a wooded shoulder of Bryn Euryn — a limestone hill on the outskirts of Rhos-on-Sea (Welsh: Llandrillo-yn-Rhos) in the county of Conwy, north Wales. Three sides of the building remain, with the remains of interior walls, a complete fireplace and chimney stack rising to around 50 feet, two other fireplaces and windows. More than anything else, its history makes this one of the more intriguing and important historical buildings in north Wales.

Mochdre [ˈmoːχdrɛ] is a village and an electoral ward to the west of Colwyn Bay in Conwy County Borough, Wales. Originally part of the municipal borough of Colwyn Bay prior to local government reorganisation in April 1974, it is now a separate community whose population at the 2001 census was 1,862 increasing to 1,923 at the 2011 census. The village can be seen in its entirety from Bryn Euryn.

Bryn Euryn (Welsh: [ˈɛirɪn]; AYR-in) is a hill which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Conwy County Borough, Wales. There is a trig point at the summit. It lies above the seaside town of Rhos-on-Sea and village of Mochdre, Conwy. It is 131 metres (430 feet) above sea level, and is listed as a HuMP. At the bottom of the hill are the remains of Llys Euryn.
