Adams Academy

In 1890 a railway accident occurred in Quincy, Massachusetts that killed 23 people. It was the second major train wreck in the city, following the 1878 accident in Wollaston. The accident was caused by a jack that had been left on the track. The foreman of the crew that placed the jack on the track was charged with manslaughter, but the trial ended in a hung jury.

The Woodward School has been educating and empowering young women in grades 6 - 12 since 1894. Located in Quincy, Massachusetts, near Quincy Center, it is the only private high school in the city. On top of its core syllabus, the school offers a wide curriculum which includes AP courses, Latin, French, Spanish, Visual Arts, Rhetoric, Computer Science Music, Theatre, and a robust internship program for high school students to name but a few.

The Quincy Masonic Temple was a historic Masonic temple at 1170 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts. It was built in 1926 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The building was home to three "Blue" Masonic Lodges, two Appendant Bodies: York Rite, Grotto, and two Youth Groups: DeMolay and Rainbow. Rural Lodge was founded in 1801. Macedonian Lodge was founded in 1892. Milton Lodge was founded in 1922.

The House at 105 President's Lane in Quincy, Massachusetts, is the best-preserved and least-altered house of its style in the city. It is a two-story hip-roofed Colonial Revival house, with a balustrade on the roof, pedimented gable dormers, and an elliptical fanlight in the central bay window on the second floor. It was built about 1915 by Morton Swallow, about whom nothing is known. The President's Hill area originally belonged to the Adams political family.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Quincy Center station is an intermodal transit station in Quincy, Massachusetts. It is a transfer station between the MBTA Red Line subway, MBTA Commuter Rail's Old Colony Lines and Greenbush Line, and a number of MBTA bus routes. It is located between Hancock Street and Burgin Parkway in the Quincy Center district. Opened in 1971, the station was covered by a large parking garage which was closed in 2012 due to structural problems. A project to remove and replace the garage is under way. All buses and trains are accessible from the Hancock Street entrance. Access from Burgin Parkway was formerly through the garage; a new accessible entrance will be added as part of the current project.

The Charles H. Burgess House is a historic house at 17 Whitney Road in Quincy, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1903 by Charles H. Burgess, a real estate developer and auction-house owner. The house exhibits both Queen Anne and Shingle styling, with Queen Anne-like projecting corner bay, and a wraparound porch supported by paired columns. Decorative cut shingles make a string course under a slight flare at the base of the second floor.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Clarence Burgin House is a historic house at 95 President's Lane in Quincy, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1900 by Clarence Burgin, a bank executive and father of Quincy Mayor Thomas S. Burgin. It is one of the city's finest examples of a gambrel-roofed Colonial Revival house. Notable features include the gambrel-roof gable dormer above the main entry, and the wraparound porch with multi-columned Greek-style projection.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Arthur Alden House is a historic house at 24 Whitney Road in Quincy, Massachusetts. Built in 1909, it is a good example of a Queen Anne architecture with Shingle style details. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Elks Building is a historic building at 1218-1222 Hancock Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. The Colonial Revival building was designed by J. Williams Beal, Sons, and built in 1924. It is one of the city's more elaborate privately owned Colonial Revival buildings. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The New England Telephone Building is a historic utility building at 10 Merrymount Road in Quincy, Massachusetts. This two-story Classical Revival brick structure was built c. 1906 and doubled in size in 1924, reaching its present proportions. It housed the telephone exchange of the New England Telephone Company until 1940, after which time it was converted to office space.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Munroe Building is a historic commercial building at 1227-1259 Hancock Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. Built in 1929 to a design by Shepard & Stearns, it is the best-preserved of two adjacent Colonial Revival two-story commercial blocks built on Hancock Street in the 1920s. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The William R. Bateman House is a historic house located at 148 Monroe Road in Quincy, Massachusetts.
