KDGL (106.9 FM, "The Eagle") is a classic hits /classic rock station serving the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin markets of inland Southern California. Artists featured on the station include Aerosmith, The Beatles, Boston (band), Jim Croce, The Eagles, Foreigner, Billy Joel, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, Styx, The Steve Miller Band, and many others. KDGL's studios are located at 1321 North Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs, California. KDGL's main transmitter is located on the southeast corner of Yucca Valley, California, just north of Joshua Tree National Park.

The Little San Bernardino Mountains are a short mountain range of the Transverse Ranges, located in southern California in the United States. They extend for approximately 40 mi (64 km) southeast from the San Bernardino Mountains through San Bernardino and Riverside Counties to near the northeast edge of the Salton Sink and Salton Sea. The community of Palm Springs looks north and northeast across the Coachella Valley to the range.

Joshua Tree National Park is an American national park in southeastern California, east of San Bernardino and Los Angeles and north of Palm Springs. It is named after the Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia) native to the Mojave Desert. Originally declared a national monument in 1936, Joshua Tree was redesignated as a national park in 1994 when the U.S. Congress passed the California Desert Protection Act. Encompassing a total of 795,156 acres (1,242.4 sq mi; 3,217.9 km2) – slightly larger than the state of Rhode Island – the park includes 429,690 acres (671.4 sq mi; 1,738.9 km2) of designated wilderness. Straddling San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, the park includes parts of two deserts, each an ecosystem whose characteristics are determined primarily by elevation: the higher Mojave Desert and the lower Colorado Desert. The Little San Bernardino Mountains traverse the southwest edge of the park.

The World Famous Crochet Museum is a museum in Joshua Tree, California displaying many crocheted items collected by Shari Elf. Founded in 2006, it is a popular roadside attraction and is free to enter.

Joshua Tree is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 7,414 at the 2010 census. At approximately 2,700 feet (820 meters) above sea level, Joshua Tree and its surrounding communities are located in the High Desert of California. The center of the business district in Joshua Tree is on California State Route 62.

Yucca Valley is an incorporated town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 20,700 as of the 2010 census. Yucca Valley lies 20 miles (32 km) north of Palm Springs, and 103 miles (166 km) east of Los Angeles. Bordered to the south by the Joshua Tree National Park and to the west by the San Bernardino Mountains, the town of Yucca Valley is located in the Mojave Desert at roughly 3,300 feet (1,000 m) above sea level.

Our Lady of the Desert School (OLDS) is a coeducational private school combination Elementary, Middle School and High school located in Yucca Valley, San Bernardino County, California, USA. It was founded in 1983, and owns its own facility, which includes a 280-occupancy chapel and tennis courts, on 5 acres (20,000 m2) of land. The school is orthodox Catholic in curriculum and administration. It is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino. Currently, OLDS has 12 students and 3 teachers, with additional administration and support staff. This gives it a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio; the California average is 16. The Principal is Daniel Foran.It describes its primary purpose as preparing students for the challenges they will face in this life so to get to heaven with education as a means to that end. There is also a 15-bed assisted living facility located on the adjoining property.

The Morongo Basin is an endorheic basin and valley region located in eastern San Bernardino County, in Southern California. The Morongo basin is part of the Inland Empire region, and is considered to be the easternmost portion of the Greater Los Angeles Area, the 2nd largest metropolitan region in the United States.

Desert Christ Park is a 3.5-acre (14,000 m2) sculpture garden in Yucca Valley, California. The park was sculpted and created by Antone Martin, a former aircraft worker who died in 1961 at the age of 74. Martin started sculpting the figures out of steel-reinforced concrete during the height of the Cold War atomic bomb scare of the mid-1940s, hoping that the sculptures would inspire global peace. Sculptures include The Twelve Apostles, Martha, Mary, angels, and a 15-foot-tall, 3 ton statue of Jesus, reminiscent of Rio de Janeiro's famous and much larger hilltop Christ the Redeemer. The park was neglected between 1988 and 1996, while the ACLU sued San Bernardino County for separation of church and state issues, after which a nonprofit foundation took over and renovated the park.

The Bartlett Mountains are a mountain range in San Bernardino County, California. The range lies just northwest of Joshua Tree.
