Yucca Valley is an incorporated town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 20,700 as of the 2010 census. Yucca Valley lies 20 miles (32 km) north of Palm Springs, and 103 miles (166 km) east of Los Angeles. Bordered to the south by the Joshua Tree National Park and to the west by the San Bernardino Mountains, the town of Yucca Valley is located in the Mojave Desert at roughly 3,300 feet (1,000 m) above sea level.

It was founded in 1983, and owns its own facility, which includes a 280-occupancy chapel and tennis courts, on 5 acres (20,000 m2) of land. The school is orthodox Catholic in curriculum and administration. It is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino. Currently, OLDS has 12 students and 3 teachers, with additional administration and support staff. This gives it a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio; the California average is 16. The Principal is Daniel Foran.It describes its primary purpose as preparing students for the challenges they will face in this life so to get to heaven with education as a means to that end. There is also a 15-bed assisted living facility located on the adjoining property.

The Burns Piñon Ridge Reserve is a 303-acre (123 ha) nature reserve that is part of the University of California Natural Reserve System. It is located near Yucca Valley, California in San Bernardino County, California. Administered by UC Irvine, the reserve is owned by the University of California and managed for teaching and research.Reserve lands form a transition zone, or ecotone, between the high-elevation ecosystems of the San Bernardino Mountains and the lower, hotter Mojave Desert.

KJSM-LP (97.1 FM) was a radio station broadcasting a religious format, that was licensed to Yucca Valley, California, United States. The station was owned by Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel.KJSM-LP's license was returned to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by the licensee on August 5, 2013, and its license was cancelled by the FCC on August 6, 2013.

Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace is a honky-tonk, barbecue restaurant and music venue near Joshua Tree National Park in Pioneertown, California. Accessible from California State Route 62, the restaurant lies four miles northeast of Yucca Valley. In 1946, a group of filmmakers built a Western-style movie set in the high desert 25 miles north of Palm Springs for the cowboy actors Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. Production designers decorated the facades of "Main Street" with a Western saloon, bank, chapel and a cantina. Pioneertown and its cantina were used in more than 50 films and television programs throughout the 1940s and 1950s, including The Cisco Kid and Judge Roy Bean. In 1972, John Aleba and his wife Francis purchased the building and John further developed the property into a cantina.

Pioneertown is an unincorporated community of the Morongo Basin region of the High Desert in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is an 1880s-themed town developed as a shooting location for actors working on Western films and TV series with businesses and residences. The Mane Street Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The winding, 4-mile (6.4 km) drive northwest to Pioneertown from Yucca Valley has been designated a California Scenic Drive and the area is now surrounded by privately and federally protected lands.

The World Famous Crochet Museum is a museum in Joshua Tree, California displaying many crocheted items collected by Shari Elf. Founded in 2006, it is a popular roadside attraction and is free to enter.
