Napa Soda Springs (formerly Jacksons Napa Soda Springs) is a set of natural water springs that was the site of a resort in the 1880's in Napa County, California. It lies at an elevation of 705 feet (215 m). Napa Soda Springs is located 5 miles (8.0 km) east-southeast of Yountville.The Napa Soda Springs post office operated from 1882 to 1929.

The Atlas Fire was a 2017 wildfire burning in Napa County, California north of the city of Napa, near Napa Soda Springs. It was one of fourteen large fires simultaneously burning in eight Northern California counties, in what was called the "Northern California firestorm". Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency. The fire, which started on October 8, had by October 12 burned 51,057 acres (207 km2) of land, and was 77% contained. By October 12, the fire stretched from Lake Berryessa south to Napa, but a firebreak was established across Atlas Peak Road. It was contained on October 28, 2017. At that point in state history, the fire was the 14th most destructive and 15th deadliest. It burned a total of 51,624 acres, destroyed 783 structures, and resulted in 6 deaths.

Stags' Leap Winery is a winery located near Yountville, California, United States, in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. The winery's 240-acre (97 ha) estate vineyard was first planted in 1893. In 1997, Stags' Leap was purchased by Beringer Wine Estates, which in 2000 was in turn purchased by the Australian company Foster's Group, whose two wine groups combined to become Beringer-Blass Wine Estates. Beringer-Blass was demerged from Fosters in 2011 to become Treasury Wine Estates. Robert Brittan continued the revitalization of the vineyards and winery until 2005. A wine tasting and visitation space is being converted from the winery's 19th-century manor bed-and-breakfast, to increase its daily visitation from 10 to 40 appointments per day, with food and wine pairings, by the parent company Treasury Wine Estates

Brown Estate Vineyards is a winery in Napa Valley, California, United States. It produces zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, and petite sirah varieties. Founded in 1995 by siblings Deneen, David and Coral Brown, Brown Estate produced its first Napa Valley zinfandel in 1996 after the family had been farming grapes and selling them to established winemakers. It is the first and only Black-owned estate in Napa Valley.

Circle Oaks is an unincorporated community in the hills to the northeast of the Napa Valley. Created in 1964, this wildland interface has thrived since, growing into a small country community outside of a bustling valley. Lots in the community are circular, with the areas between the circles ("triangles") considered to be non-developable "greenbelt", an idea supposedly envisioned by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The community was initially planned to have an airstrip and golf course, but these never materialized.Circle Oaks was threatened, but not significantly damaged, by the 2017 Atlas Fire and the 2020 Hennessey Fire.

Stags Leap District is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Napa County, California, directly east of the town of Yountville and approximately seven miles (11.3 km) north of the county seat of Napa. It was established as the nation's 104th, the state's 59th and the county’s sixth appellation on January 26, 1989 by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Treasury after reviewing two petitions received since 1985 from the Stags Leap Appellation Committee, hereinafter referred to as Group A, proposing a viticultural area in Napa Valley, California, to be known as "Stags Leap District." In the 1976 Judgment of Paris wine tasting, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars' 1973 Cabernet vintage, grown and processed in the locale later designated as an AVA, ranked first in the red wine category besting wines from top-rated Bordeaux estates, immediately recognizing California, specially Napa Valley, as a primer international viticulture region. According to the ruling, the Bureau concluded that the soil (including the topsoil) is the primary geographical feature that distinguishes Stags Leap District from the surrounding areas. The Bale soil series predominates the region with clay loam sediments from the Napa River and volcanic soil deposits left over from erosion of the Vaca Mountains. Stags Leap District is a small area, only about one by three miles (1.6 by 4.8 km), was the third sub-appellation within the renown Napa Valley particularly noted for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. As of 2025, Stags Leap District is resident to approximately twelve vineyards and seventeen wineries.

Clos du Val, French for “small vineyard estate of a small valley,” was founded in 1972 in the renowned Stags Leap District.

Rector Reservoir is a reservoir in Napa Valley, California. It is located to the northeast of Yountville, and southwest of Lake Berryessa and supplies water to Yountville. The Silverado Trail leads to the reservoir passing it from north to south to the west of the lake and Rector Canyon. To the west is Silver Oak Cellars and Oakville. The waters of the reservoir are impounded by Rector Creek Dam, which was built in 1946 across Rector Creek.

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is a winery founded by Warren Winiarski in 1970 and based in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, California. The winery achieved significant international recognition in 1976, six years after its establishment, at the Judgment of Paris where its 1973 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon won first place among ten top French and California red wines in a blind taste test by leading French wine experts. The French wines tasted were prestigious first and second growths wines from the 1970 and 1971 vintage from Château Mouton-Rothschild, Château Haut-Brion, Château Leoville Las Cases and Château Montrose. The result of the tasting has been described by Decanter as "a victory that put California on the winemaking map, and established Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars as a global superstar".

Ricardo Herrera has been the full time winemaker at Baldacci since 2015 and he has worked throughout the years at such iconic wineries as Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, Dominus and Screaming Eagle. Older brother and Consulting Winemaker, Rolando Herrera who used to be cellar master of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and has worked at Napa Valley wineries Chateau Potelle, Vine Cliffe Winery and Paul Hobbes Wines still provides a guiding hand. Along with Stags' Leap Winery and others, Baldacci Family Vineyards is a member of the Stags Leap District Winery Association.

Silverado Vineyards is located east of Yountville, California in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley.

Ovid Napa Valley is a winery in Pritchard Hill, to the northeast of Oakville in the Napa Valley of California. It was established in 2000. The area, in one of the rockiest parts of the Napa Valley with iron-red and yellow soils, typically produces earthy varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Ovid winery is solar-powered and organically farmed and has been certified "Napa Green" by the Napa County Department of Public Works and the California Green Business Program. In 2017, a majority share of Ovid was sold to the Duncan family, who own Silver Oak Cellars and Twomey Cellars.
