Kimmel Arena

The Justice Center is a 1,100-seat multi-purpose arena in Asheville, North Carolina. It is home to the University of North Carolina at Asheville Bulldogs volleyball team and hosted the 2006 Big South Conference women's basketball tournament and 2008 men's tourney. The Justice Center was replaced by the larger Kimmel Arena for use by UNC Asheville men's and women's basketball teams. The Kimmel Arena was completed in 2011. Men's Basketball Highlights -1969-1971 played to capacity crowds in advancing to NAIA National Playoffs. -1999-2000 completed the 6th largest comeback in NCAA Division I history by overcoming a 26-point deficit and beating Coastal Carolina

Greenwood Baseball Field is a baseball venue in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. It is home to the UNC Asheville Bulldogs baseball team of the NCAA Division I Big South Conference. The facility opened in 1988. It has a capacity of 300 spectators. It features an electronic scoreboard, dugouts, and a natural grass surface.UNC Asheville also uses McCormick Field, home of the Asheville Tourists minor league baseball team, for a portion of its schedule.

The University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNC Asheville, UNCA, or simply Asheville) is a public liberal arts university in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. UNC Asheville is the designated liberal arts institution in the University of North Carolina system. It is a member and the headquarters of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.

The Botanical Gardens at Asheville (BGA), also known as the Asheville Botanical Gardens, is an independent non-profit botanical garden located on 10 acres at 151 W. T. Weaver Boulevard in Asheville, North Carolina. Dedicated to the study and promotion of the native plants and habitats of the Southern Appalachians, the garden is open daily with free admission for all. Support for maintenance of the garden comes primarily from memberships, donations, and the work of volunteers. The BGA was established in 1961 on eroded, abandoned timberland. Cleanup and trail-building took place from 1962 to 1963, and planting started in 1964 following an overall design by Doan Ogden, a nationally known landscape architect. At that time more than 5,000 plants were transplanted into the garden from private lands and national forests. Although the BGA is located on land belonging to the adjacent University of North Carolina at Asheville, the BGA operates independently and is overseen by a board of directors elected from and by the general membership of the Botanical Gardens. Today the BGA includes more than 650 species of plants native to the southern Appalachian Mountains.

The Mountain Bogs National Wildlife Refuge is a federally protected wildlife refuge located within multiple western North Carolina counties, United States. The refuge has a total area of over 7,000 acres (28 km2) consisting of fee title and conservation easements on privately owned property. In order to respect the wishes of the landowner, and protect sensitive habitat, the refuge is currently not open to the public. The refuge was established in 2015 to conserve Southern Appalachian Bogs in North Carolina and Tennessee, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to add more sites to the refuge, by working with willing landowners. The reserve protects habitat for multiple threatened and endangered species, migratory birds, and important game species. Mountain Bogs is managed by the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge.

The Richmond Hill Inn was a 25-room Inn located on the Historic Richmond Hill estate in North Carolina. It was a Queen Anne style mansion that was built in 1889 and has now been gutted by the arson fire. It served as the private residence of ambassador and congressman Richmond Pearson. Its name derives from a combination of its builder, Richmond Pearson, and the designer, James G. Hill. At the time of its construction, the mansion was one of the most elegant structures in Asheville, with running water, ten fireplaces, and a pulley-operated baggage elevator. It served as a center for social and political activity for many years during Pearson's life. The Estate is located on French Broad River, surrounded by rolling grounds with gardens.

The Richmond Hill House was a historic home located at 45 Richmond Hill Rd. in Asheville, North Carolina. It was built in 1889 and was designed by James G. Hill in the Queen Anne style. The house sat on a 7.5-acre (3.0 ha) property. It was demolished on February 1, 2012.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Montford Area Historic District is a mainly residential neighborhood in Asheville, North Carolina that is included in the National Register of Historic Places.

Norwood Park Historic District is a national historic district of Asheville, North Carolina. The district encompasses 154 contributing buildings and one contributing structure in a predominantly residential section of Asheville. The district was largely developed in the first three decades of the 20th century, and includes representative examples of Colonial Revival and Bungalow-style dwellings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Fire Station Number 4 in Asheville, North Carolina, also known as Merrimon Avenue Fire Station, is a historic fire station. It was built in 1927, and is a two-story, flat roofed, multi-colored brick building in the Art Deco style. It features a five-story tower with an open-shaft staircase.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Beaver Lake is a freshwater lake in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The community of Lakeview Park, which was built around Beaver Lake, is now a subdivision of Asheville.

Congregation Beth Israel (Hebrew: בית ישראל) is an independent, traditional egalitarian Jewish congregation, located at 229 Murdock Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina. Founded in 1899 as Bikur Cholim, it was an Orthodox breakaway from Asheville's existing synagogue. It hired its first full-time rabbi in 1909, opened a religious school in 1911, and acquired its first building, which burnt down in 1916, in 1913. The congregation completed its second building in 1924, affiliated with Conservative Judaism in 1949, and changed its name to Beth Israel in 1950. It completed construction of its current building in 1969, and renovated it in 2018. Robert Cabelli joined as rabbi in 2006, and was succeeded by Justin Goldstein in 2014. In 2021, the congregation hired Mitch Levine as rabbi.
