Collytus or Kollytos (Ancient Greek: Κολλυτός) was a deme of ancient Attica, located in the city of Athens. It was located within the walls of Themistocles, south of the Areopagus and southwest of Acropolis. It was famed due to its association with Plato, whose family was from this deme.

The Nordic Library at Athens (Greek: Βιβλιοθήκη των Βορείων Χωρών στην Αθήνα) is one of several international archaeological libraries in Athens, Greece. It is located in the Makrigianni area of Athens. It was established in 1995, as a cooperative venture run by the Danish Institute at Athens, the Finnish Institute at Athens, the Norwegian Institute at Athens and the Swedish Institute at Athens. It currently holds about 40,000 volumes.

The Rampin Rider or Rampin Horseman (c. 550 BC) is an equestrian statue from the Archaic Period of Ancient Greece. The statue was masterfully made of marble and has traces of red and black paint. The head of the rider was found on the Acropolis of Athens in 1877 and donated to the Louvre. Parts of the body of the rider and horse were found ten years earlier in a Perserschutt ditch filled with statues broken during the 480 BC Persian sack of Athens. The head was not associated with the rest of the statue until 1936. The statue is displayed with a plaster cast of the head at the Acropolis Museum, while the head remains at the Louvre where it is displayed with a cast of the rest of the statue. The rider has many of the features typical of an Archaic kouros, but has several asymmetrical features that break with the period's conventions.

Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum (often referred to as the ILJM) is a museum in Athens, Greece, created by the renowned Greek jewellery designer Ilias Lalaounis. The ILJM is located near the Acropolis, at the corner of Karyatidon and Kallisperi streets. It comprises 50 collections of a total of over 4,000 jewels and small ornaments dedicated to the history and art of jewellery making. The permanent exhibition displays more than 3000 pieces designed in the period 1940–1992.

Makrygianni or Makriyanni (Greek: Μακρυγιάννη, pronounced [makɾiˈʝani]) is a neighborhood of Athens, Greece. Also known as Acropolis, it is located in the south side of Acropolis and bounded between the avenues Dionysiou Areopagitou and Syngrou. The district is named after Ioannis Makrygiannis, Greek general of the Greek War of Independence, who used to own a house and fields in the area. Opposite the house of Ioannis Makrygiannis a military hospital was built – known as Weiler Building after the architect who designed it. This building was later used as gendarmerie headquarters and a violent battle took place there during the Dekemvriana, in 1944. In the Makrygianni neighbourhood is located the new Acropolis Museum that was inaugurated in 2009.

Syngrou Fix station is an interchange between Athens Metro Line 2 and Athens Tram lines 4 and 5. The tram stop is known simply as Fix. The metro station opened on 16 November 2000 as part of the Dafni extension, and the tram stop opened on 19 July 2004 as part of the initial scheme. The station name is derived from Syngrou Avenue, where it is located, and the former Fix brewery, which was on the road near the station site.

The Acropolis Museum (Greek: Μουσείο Ακρόπολης, Mouseio Akropolis) is an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. The museum was built to house every artifact found on the rock and on the surrounding slopes, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. It also lies over the ruins of part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens. The museum was founded in 2003 while the Organization of the Museum was established in 2008. It opened to the public on 20 June 2009. More than 4,250 objects are exhibited over an area of 14,000 square metres. The Organization for the Construction of the new museum is chaired by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Professor Emeritus of Archaeology, Dimitrios Pandermalis.

The Museum of the Center for the Acropolis Studies (Greek: Κέντρο Μελετών Ακροπόλεως) is a museum in Athens, Greece, a part of the new Acropolis Museum and its research workshops. It is housed in the Weiler Building, named after the Bavarian engineer who designed it in 1834 and constructed it in 1836. It was created under the direction of the archaeologist Evi Touloupa while she was director of the Athens Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities. After serving as a military hospital and a gendarmes barracks, Weiler Building was remodelled from 1985 to 1987 and was converted to a museum. Its collections include casts of the Parthenon sculptures, plaster models of the Acropolis illustrating the architectural development of the monuments from the neolithic to present times, and a permanent exhibition on the works of conservation and restoration and exhibits concerning the Erechtheion and other Acropolis monuments.

Dionysiou Areopagitou Street (Greek: Οδός Διονυσίου Αρεοπαγίτου, Greek pronunciation: [oˈðos ðjoniˈsiu areopaˈʝitu]) is a pedestrianized street, adjacent to the south slope of the Acropolis in the Makrygianni district of Athens. It is named after Dionysius the Areopagite, the first Athenian convert to Christianity after Apostle Paul's sermon, according to the Acts of the Apostles, and patron saint of the city of Athens. The street runs from east to west. It starts from Amalias Avenue near the Arch of Hadrian and ends near Philopappos Hill where it continues as Apostolou Pavlou Avenue, the rest of the pedestrian zone which goes around the archaeological site of the Acropolis and the Agora. The street was first mapped in 1857 in a position more northern than where it is located today, adjacently to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. It acquired its current shape in 1955, when it was redesigned by architect Dimitris Pikionis, who also designed the paved paths of the archaeological site. The street was finally pedestrianized in 2003.

Akropoli (Greek: Ακρόπολη) is a station on Athens Metro Line 2. The station opened on 15 November 2000, as part of the extension from Syntagma to Dafni, and is the nearest station to the Acropolis Museum and the eastern entrance to the Acropolis of Athens. The station has a ticket office and three automatic ticket machines. The station is decorated by huge posters of Melina Merkouri and reproductions of the Elgin Marbles of Parthenon.

The Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens (AAIA) (Greek: Αυστραλιανό Αρχαιολογικό Ινστιτούτο Αθηνών) is one of the seventeen foreign archaeological institutes in Greece. Founded in 1980, it aims to promote Greek studies in Australia, as well as to enable Australian scholars to engage in archaeological fieldwork in Greece. The Institute has been involved in projects in excavations at Torone (Greek Macedonia), Zagora (Andros), and in the Paliochora survey (Kythira).
