Atkins High School (North Carolina)

Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy (WSPA) is a public school located in Forsyth County, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Its building location is at the former site of Atkins High School.

Reynoldstown Historic District, also known as Cameron Park, is a national historic district located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 183 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure (Cameron Avenue Bridge) in a planned residential development of the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company (RJR) and historically African-American residential section of Winston-Salem. The buildings date from about 1919 to 1949, and include notable examples of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

George Black House and Brickyard is a historic home and brickyard site located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The house was built about 1900, and is a traditional one-story, three-bay, frame "triple-A" dwelling. The front facade features an almost full-width hip-roofed attached porch. Also on the property are the contributing remains of a brickmaking operation established about 1940. It was the home of African-American brickmaker George H. Black, who lived and worked on this property from 1934 until his death in 1980 at the age of 101. Black worked at Colonial Williamsburg in 1931 during the early years of restoration.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church, originally known as East Fourth Street Baptist Church, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Zion church located at 1435 E. Fourth Street in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built in 1924, and is a front-gabled brick church with two prominent domed towers and flanking one-story hipped-roof wings in the Classical Revival style. The front facade features a prominent pedimented porch supported by stuccoed Doric order columns and Ionic order pilasters. The interior is based on the Akron Plan. The building was acquired by an African-American congregation split from the Goler Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in 1942. The congregation changed their name to Goler Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church in 1953.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Career Center is a high school located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It offers an extension to the regular high school program. Classes offered include Advanced Placement courses, career and technical education (CTE) courses, English, and classes too small to be held at the regular high schools in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools program, such as Japanese and Chinese. It also offers extended day classes, which are held after school that allow students to "make up" a failed class in order to graduate. It moved to a new facility in January 2012 after a bond vote sold its previous facility to Forsyth Tech.

Mars Hill Baptist Church, also known as Fries Memorial Moravian Church, is a historic African-American Baptist church located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built in 1915, and is a T-shaped brick building with corner tower in the Gothic Revival style. Also on the property is the parsonage; a one-story, pebble-dash finished Queen Anne style dwelling. It has a high hipped roof, a central hipped dormer, and a hipped-roof full-front porch supported by fluted columns. It was originally built for a white Moravian congregation, until the Mars Hill Baptist Church congregation purchased the building in 1944 for $4,000.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

S. G. Atkins House is a historic home located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The house was built about 1893, and is a two-story, three-bay, frame dwelling with rear additions. The front facade has a central gable and a hip-roofed porch. It was built by Dr. Simon Green Atkins, the founder of the Slater Industrial Academy for African-American students. The house was converted to apartments in 1951.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

WSNC (90.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting jazz, gospel, and talk programming. Licensed to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, it serves the Piedmont Triad area. The station is currently owned by Winston-Salem State University. The founding General Manager of WSNC FM was Dr. Clarence W. Thomas. In November 2017, WSNC replaced a transmitter installed in the 1990s which failed in June, causing the station to operate at a tenth of normal power using rented equipment for several months.

Winston-Salem Tobacco Historic District is a national historic district located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 16 contributing buildings and 16 contributing structures in a predominantly industrial section of Winston-Salem. The buildings date from about 1890 to 1959, and include buildings relating to the tobacco industry, specifically R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Also on the district are a once-thriving African American and the wholesale commercial business district that once catered to the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company workers. Located in the district is the separately listed Romanesque Revival style S. J. Nissen Building and Piedmont Leaf Tobacco Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

A. Robinson Building, also known as Howard-Robinson Building and Pyramid Barber Shop, is a historic commercial building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built in 1940–1941, and is a two-story, yellow and red brick commercial building. The north and south facades are of brick made by well-known and celebrated local brickmaker George S. Black. The building was constructed to house African-American businesses including the Howard-Robinson Funeral Home and a barber shop.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

W.C. Brown Apartment Building was a historic apartment building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built about 1941, and was a two-story brick-veneered rectangular block structure. It had a hipped roof and exposed rafter ends in the Bungalow / American Craftsman style. The building was built as rental apartments for African-American families just before World War II. The building housed workers at the nearby R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. The building has been demolished. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
