W. F. Smith and Sons Leaf House and Brown Brothers Company Building, also known as Piedmont Leaf Tobacco Co., is a historic tobacco manufacturing complex located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The complex includes two buildings. The W. F. Smith and Sons Leaf House was built about 1890, and is a 4+1⁄2-story, nine bays long and three bays wide, stuccoed brick building with a stepped gable facade. The former Brown Brothers building, was built between 1890 and 1895, and is a five-story brick building with a mansard roof and hip roof dormer windows. By 1900 both buildings housed tobacco prizeries.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It is located in the Winston-Salem Tobacco Historic District.

W.C. Brown Apartment Building was a historic apartment building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built about 1941, and was a two-story brick-veneered rectangular block structure. It had a hipped roof and exposed rafter ends in the Bungalow / American Craftsman style. The building was built as rental apartments for African-American families just before World War II. The building housed workers at the nearby R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. The building has been demolished. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Goler Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, also known as Old Goler, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Zion church located at 630 Patterson Avenue in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built in 1918–1919, and is a rectangular brick building in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features a gable-front block flanked by two square brick towers and stained glass windows. A two-story annex was built in 1946. In 1942, the Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church congregation split from the Goler Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

A. Robinson Building, also known as Howard-Robinson Building and Pyramid Barber Shop, is a historic commercial building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built in 1940–1941, and is a two-story, yellow and red brick commercial building. The north and south facades are of brick made by well-known and celebrated local brickmaker George S. Black. The building was constructed to house African-American businesses including the Howard-Robinson Funeral Home and a barber shop.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

S. J. Nissen Building, also known as S. J. Nissen Carriage Repository and Repair Shop, S. J. Nissen Company Wagonworks, Kester Machinery Company, and Black Horse Studio is a historic factory building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The original 1893 primary structure is a three-story Romanesque Revival style brick building with a basement and sub basement. It features two crenellated front towers (one square and one octagonal) and round-arched windows. A two-story addition with basement was added in 1953. The building originally housed a wagon making and repair shop and a carriage repository.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. It is located in the Winston-Salem Tobacco Historic District.

Gilmer Building is a historic commercial building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built between 1924 and 1926, and is a two-story, rectangular brick building. It measures 80 feet by 86 feet, and features polychromed terra cotta panels and ornamentation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Craver Apartment Building is a historic apartment building located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built about 1942, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick-veneered rectangular block structure with hipped roof and exposed rafter ends. It has a hipped roof and exposed rafter ends in the Bungalow / American Craftsman style. It features porches on both levels supported by full-height square brick posts. The building was built as rental apartments for African-American families just before World War II.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The RJR Plaza Building (also known as the Reynolds American Plaza Building) is a 16-story skyscraper in Winston-Salem, North Carolina which was completed in 1982 for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, currently the second-largest tobacco manufacturer in the United States. In 2009, the RJR Plaza building became the headquarters for both Reynolds Tobacco and its parent company Reynolds American after Reynolds decided in 2008 to vacate its longtime headquarters, the Reynolds Building.The building, which has 449,150 square feet (41,726 square meters), was first planned in 1969 and would have been a pair of skyscrapers which would have been the tallest in the Southeastern United States. The FAA put an end to this plan. Hammill-Walter Associates served as the architect. The architectural style is Modernism, with a curtain wall facade and concrete rigid frame construction. A two-story galleria links this building and the Reynolds Building next door.

Lloyd Presbyterian Church is a historic African-American Presbyterian church located at 748 Chestnut Street in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built between 1900 and 1907, and is a gable-front, rectangular frame church in the Carpenter Gothic style. It is sheathed in weatherboard and features lancet windows and a small frame steeple, with a bellcast spire and ornamental sawn eave brackets along the top of the tower.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

P.H. Hanes Knitting Company is a historic textile mill complex located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The complex includes three buildings. The Knitting Building or North Building was built in 1920–1921, and is a six-story, Beaux-Arts style concrete and steel building sheathed in brick. The Mill Building or East Building was built in 1928, and is a five-story-plus-basement building of concrete, brick, and steel construction. The Warehouse and Shipping Building was built in 1940, and is a six-story steel frame building sheathed in brick. The P.H. Hanes Knitting Company was founded in 1901 by Pleasant H. Hanes, brother of John W. Hanes who founded Shamrock Mills, later Hanes Hosiery. In February 1965, P. H. Hanes Knitting Company merged with Hanes Hosiery. The downtown mill complex closed in 1965. The complex has been converted to loft apartments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Winston Tower (formerly Wachovia Building) is a 410 ft (125 m) tall skyscraper in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, completed in 1966 with 29 floors. It was the tallest building in North Carolina, succeeding the Reynolds Building in Winston-Salem, until it was passed by Charlotte's Jefferson First Union Tower in 1971.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.After a 2003 renovation in which all 6,033 windows were replaced with tinted glass to save energy, the building received its current name. It has 436,000 square feet (40,500 square meters) of office space. As of 2009, Winston Tower is the second tallest office building in the city, behind 100 North Main Street; both have previously served as the corporate headquarters for Wachovia Bank. On December 10, 2021, Truliant Federal Credit Union confirmed it had acquired naming rights to the tower. The name "Truliant" was scheduled to appear on the east and west sides at the top of the building in April 2022, to mark the credit union's 70th anniversary. The company plans "a small presence in the building."An August 17, 2022 Forsyth County Register of Deeds filing shows that Charlotte-based Winston Tower LLC purchased the building for $14 million. The company's manager Jason Tuttle said 100,000 square feet of space was available and it would be marketed to companies formed in business incubators. Tuttle also said Truliant still planned to put its signs on the building. The letters were delayed and are now scheduled to be put in place in July 2023.

The Reynolds Building is a 314-foot (96 m) Art Deco skyscraper at 51 E. 4th Street in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina with 313,996 square feet (29,171.2 m2) of space. It was completed in 1929 and has 21 floors. For much of its history the building served as headquarters for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. After a sale to PMC Property Group in 2014, the building went through an estimated $60 million in renovations. In March 2016, The Residences @ the R.J. Reynolds Building, apartments located on the top 11 floors, opened. The first six floors opened as the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in April. Katharine Brasserie & Bar, a restaurant named for Katharine Smith Reynolds, followed in May.
