Gunter-Summers House, also known as the Henry Jacob Summers House, is a historic home located at West Columbia, Lexington County, South Carolina. It was built in 1895, and is an I-house with Queen Anne style decorative elements with an Eastlake theme, notably the geometric banded frieze and geometric stained glass doors with running trim. It is a two-story, frame dwelling and has weatherboard siding and a brick pier foundation. The front façade features a two-tiered, full-width front porch. Also on the property are a barn (c. 1900) and a smokehouse (c. 1910) with a braced overhanging front gable.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Still Hopes, also known as the Gabriel Alexander Guignard House and South Carolina Episcopal Home, is an historic home located at Cayce, Lexington County, South Carolina. It was built in 1910, and is a two-story, brick, Georgian Revival mansion with a truncated hip roof. The front façade features a two-story, flat roofed portico supported by paired Ionic order columns. It has a one-story, ornamented wraparound porch. In 1977, it was expanded and renovated to convert the mansion for use as an Episcopal retirement home. It was built as a residence for Gabriel Alexander Guignard (1860-1926), and the red brick for construction was manufactured by Guignard Brick Works.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The former WIS is now WVOC. The station is owned by Cumulus Media, which also owns AC WTCB, classic hits WOMG, The Game WNKT and urban AC WLXC in the Columbia radio market. All five stations share studios located at the Granby Building in Cayce and the WISW transmitter is in West Columbia.

New Brookland Tavern is a bar and music venue located in West Columbia, South Carolina. New Brookland Tavern is one of, if not the oldest, continuous running music venues in the Columbia area. It is known for presenting live music 365 days a year. They have an annual New Year's Eve cover show, Emo Nights with 2000s music, and comedy nights. It takes its name from the previous name for West Columbia.

New Brookland Historic District is a national historic district located at West Columbia, Lexington County, South Carolina. It encompasses 23 contributing buildings in the central business district and the "mill village" sections of West Columbia. It includes commercial, institutional, and residential buildings built between 1894 and 1916 as a planned residential community for the Columbia Duck Mill. Notable buildings include the Edward W. Shull Building, Thompson Funeral Home, Brookland Fire Station, Brookland Jail, and single and double tenant houses.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is a 170-acre (69 ha) zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden located along the Saluda River in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. A small portion of the zoo extends into the nearby city of West Columbia. It is operated by the Rich-Lex Riverbanks Park Special Purpose District, a partnership of the city of Columbia and Richland and Lexington counties. It is overseen by the Riverbanks Park Commission, comprising two members each from the three governments and one at-large member. Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

Gervais Street Bridge is a historic bridge in South Carolina in the United States and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is an arch bridge constructed from reinforced concrete. Construction began in 1926 and the bridge was completed in 1928. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This is the third bridge to be built on this site across the Congaree River. The first, built around 1827, was burned down in the American Civil War and the second, built in 1870, was replaced by the current bridge. At the time of its construction it was the widest roadway in the state. It was the only bridge across the Congaree River until 1953.

Saluda Factory Historic District is a national historic district located at West Columbia, Lexington County, South Carolina. It encompasses three contributing sites associated with the development of the area along the Saluda River; Saluda Factory, Camp Sorghum and old State Road. The Saluda Factory ruins consist of the granite foundation and sluices from a textile mill that operated on the river between the years 1834 and 1884. The Camp Sorghum site was the site of a Confederate prison camp. It held 1,300 Union soldiers, who were confined there from the autumn of 1864 to February 1865, and subsequently transferred to Charlotte, North Carolina. The old State Road, originally the Cherokee Path, bounded Saluda Factory and Camp Sorghum on the east.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
