Chybie

Gmina Chybie is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland, in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. Its seat is the village of Chybie. The gmina covers an area of 31.8 square kilometres (12.3 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 9,803.

Contemporary territory covers only a small part of the former village existing since the 13th century, as it was inundated during the creation of Goczałkowice Reservoir in the 1950s. The name is of topographic origin and literally means [a place] behind a river (Polish: za rzeką, whereas rzeka means a river).

Strumień [ˈstrumʲɛɲ] (German: Schwarzwasser, Czech: Strumeň) is a town and the seat of Gmina Strumień, in Cieszyn County, in the Silesian Voivodeship (province) of southern Poland, on the Vistula River. It is located in the north-eastern part of the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia and is the smallest town in the county.

Goczałkowice Lake (Polish: Jezioro Goczałkowickie) is an artificial water reservoir close to Goczałkowice-Zdrój in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland created with a dam on the Vistula in 1956. The area of the reservoir is 32 square kilometres and its capacity is 168 million m³. It is around 75 kilometres west of Kraków. The shores of the lake are the breeding area for many bird species.
