Coweta County is a county located in the west central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. It is part of Metro Atlanta. As of the 2020 census, the population was 146,158. The county seat is Newnan. Starting on Friday, November 24th, 2023, the Coweta County Sheriff's Office will make an appearance on the Reelz series On Patrol: Live, replacing Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Coweta County is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA Metropolitan Statistical Area.
