Johnny G. Economedes High School

KVJY (840 AM) is a radio station licensed to Pharr, Texas. The station airs a Spanish Christian format. In May 2017, Bi-Media, composed of members of the Bichara family which also owns radio holdings in Mexico, sold KVJY to Daij Media. Daij is owned by the Villarreal family and primarily operates Radio Aleluya religious stations. The sale, at a price of $910,000, was consummated on July 18, 2017.

H-E-B Park is a soccer-specific stadium in Edinburg, Texas. It served as the home of Rio Grande Valley FC Toros of the USL Championship, the second level of the US/Canadian professional soccer pyramid. The stadium has two stands with orange seats covered with a roof and a capacity of 9,735. The stadium was originally intended to be complete before the 2016 USL season. Toros played C.F. Monterrey from Mexico on March 22, 2017, to inaugurate their new stadium. The Toros lost their exhibition match against Rayados 3–0 before a sellout crowd.In October 2023, it was announced that UTRGV would play most of their college football home games in the stadium, beginning with their exhibition season in 2024.

Muniz is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,370 at the 2010 United States Census. It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2015 Muniz, a colonia, has about half of its population born in foreign countries, with, in all probability, almost all from Mexico, and with many of them being illegal immigrants. In 2015 Chris McGreal of The Guardian described Muniz as the poorest U.S. settlement along a United States border.

The Museum of South Texas History is located in Edinburg, Texas. It features exhibits on the history of the Rio Grande Valley, as well as the rest of South Texas and North Eastern Mexican States Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas. The Museum, which opened in 1970 as the Hidalgo County Historical Museum, was originally housed in Hidalgo County's Old Jail; a Texas National Landmark, dating to 1910. The Museum has since expanded to include three buildings in the town square. Exhibits primarily focus on local history from prehistoric times to the 20th century.The collections include a prehistoric mosasaur and an ice age mammoth. There are exhibits on the Coahuiltecan Indians, the Spanish exploration and colonization, the Mexican-American War, the U.S Civil War, the Steamboat era, and the Cattle Kingdom. In November of 2007, an exhibit of the "Citrus Era" and the turmoil of the Mexican Revolution was added along with recent area history. The Margaret H. McAllen Memorial Archives house the Valley's largest collection of historical photographs, plus documents and maps, available for research.The Museum Store offers South Texas history books and memorabilia of the Rio Grande Valley.

Edinburg High School (EHS) is a comprehensive public high school in Murillo (formerly Nurillo), a census-designated place in Hidalgo County, Texas, east of Edinburg. It is operated by the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District along with Edinburg North High School, Robert Vela High School, and Johnny G. Economedes High School. It has enrolled 2,927 students and 175 staff, with 35% holding advanced degrees; its enrollment is 95% Hispanic, 4% White, and 1% Asian/Pacific Islander. A performing arts complex was built at Edinburg in 2010, during which time similar facilities were built at the other high schools.Edinburg serves sections of southeastern Edinburg along with several census-designated places: Murillo, San Carlos, and a portion of Lopezville.

Edinburg North High School (commonly ENHS, Edinburg North, or North) is a public secondary school in Edinburg, Texas, United States, serving students in grades 9–12. The school is part of the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District, with admission based primarily on the locations of students' homes. ENHS' mascot is the common Cougar, and their colors are navy and gold. The school serves, in addition to northern Edinburg, the census-designated places of Faysville, Hargill, and Linn, as well as the rural parts of far northern Hidalgo County. The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV)'s Edinburg campus is also zoned into ENHS. District expansion circa 2010 has added a performing arts center to each of ECISD's high schools (all completed November 2010), including at Edinburg North.

KURV (710 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Edinburg, Texas, and serving the Rio Grande Valley border area. It broadcasts a talk radio format and is owned by Grupo Multimedios, through licensee Leading Media Group Corp. The studios and offices are on North Jackson Road in McAllen.By day, KURV is powered at 1,000 watts. At night it slightly reduces power to 910 watts. It uses a directional antenna at all times, with a three-tower array at night. The transmitter is off Rogers Road at Business U.S. Route 281 in Edinburg.

Edinburg ( ED-in-burg) is a city in and the county seat of Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 100,243 at the 2020 census, and in 2022, its estimated population was 104,294, making it the second-largest city in Hidalgo County, and the third-largest city in the larger Rio Grande Valley region.
