Stottesdon is a village and civil parish in south east Shropshire, England. The parish of Stottesdon covers a large rural area and extends over the village of Chorley. The village is situated near the market towns of Cleobury Mortimer and Bridgnorth.

Neen Savage is a civil parish and a village in south east Shropshire, England. It is situated north of the small market town of Cleobury Mortimer. The River Rea, which was historically known as the River Neen, flows past the hamlet, and a notable ford exists. The village contains a parish church, in whose churchyard stands the local war memorial in form of a square stone cross. Two early London publishers were born here. Thomas Adams (c1566-1620) was son of a yeoman farmer of Neen Savage, and George Potter (c.1572-1627) was a son of Edward Potter of Musbatch. Musbatch Cottage still stands. Both Thomas and George became members of the Stationers Company and had businesses near St Paul's Cathedral. Also born there was athlete Jack Price (1884-1965), who took part in the 1908 Summer Olympics. In 2016 the population of Neen Savage was estimated to be just under 300.

Sidbury is a village and civil parish 21 miles (34 km) south-east of Shrewsbury, in the Shropshire district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. In 2001 the parish had a population of 32. Sidbury shared a parish council with Stottesdon. The parish touches Stottesdon, Deuxhill, Middleton Scriven and Billingsley.

Oreton is a small village in the English county of Shropshire, in the civil parish of Farlow. Oreton is on a hill overlooking the River Rea and is some twelve miles southwest from Bridgnorth and four miles north from Cleobury Mortimer. There is a public house - the New Inn.

Kinlet Hall is an 18th-century, 33,609 square feet (3,122 m2) English country house at Kinlet, Shropshire, England, now occupied by an independent day and residential school. It is a Grade I listed building and its design was inspired by Villa Pisani, Montagnana. The manor of Kinlet was held by the Brampton and Cornwall families until it passed via his maternal ancestors to Humphrey Blount (of the Sodington Hall family), who was High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1461. It later passed to Rowland Lakyn (or Lacon), High Sheriff in 1571, through the female line and subsequently by the marriage of a Lacon daughter and heiress who married Sir William Childe. The old manor house was replaced in 1727–1729 by William Lacon Childe, who commissioned architect Francis Smith of Warwick to create the present Palladian style mansion. The brick-built, east-facing, three-storey, seven-bayed central block is flanked by single-storey wings and two smaller detached two-storey blocks; the block to the north originally housed stables and the block to the south the kitchens. The Childe family were resident at Kinlet Hall until the 20th century. During World War II, the house was occupied by the United States Army and afterwards acquired by Moffats Independent School. In June 2020, Kinlet Hall was placed for sale for £3.5 million. A Great Western Railway Hall class locomotive No. 4936 is named Kinlet Hall.

Stottesdon Halt railway station was a station in Stottesdon, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1908 and closed in 1938.

The River Rea is a small river that flows through south east Shropshire, England.

Castle Toot, or Cleobury Castle, was a motte castle by the River Rea in the town of Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire. It is a scheduled monument, first listed in 1951. The castle was built in the early 12th century and owned by the Mortimer family. Hugh de Mortimer rebelled against Henry II and as a result the castle was destroyed in 1155. The site consists of a motte situated on a natural promontory on the east side of the River Rea. It is surrounded by a dry moat on three sides, but the fourth is a steep drop into the river. The entrance is in the northeast corner of the motte. Fragments of the walls and the remains of a gatehouse were visible at the end of the 18th century. In 1911, stones forming the base of a causeway or bridge were observed. The current house that is situated on the property was built in the 1950s. The earthworks remain largely intact. Towards the end of the 18th century, some stonework of the entrance and causeway to the castle was visible, but has now presumably been buried or dismantled. There have been no archaeological finds at the site, despite excavations for building works being made in recent years.

Billingsley is a small village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Bridgnorth and lies in the diocese of Hereford. The village is situated on the B4363 road, south of Deuxhill. Between the two parishes flows the Horsford Brook. The village itself is in an area covering approximately 1302 acres. The eastern boundary of the village is formed by the Borle Brook. The parish is directly above coal measures that belong to the Wyre Forest Coalfield.
