Woolmer Hill School, formerly Woolmer Hill Technology College, is the main secondary school in the area of Haslemere, Surrey.

Shottermill & Haslemere Football Club is a football club based in Haslemere, Surrey, England. The club are currently members of the Surrey Intermediate League Premier Division and play at Haslemere Recreational Ground.

Hammer Bottom or Hammer Vale is a hamlet in the civil parish of Bramshott and Liphook, in the East Hampshire district in the county of Hampshire, England. Hammer Bottom lies at the meeting point of the counties of Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey. Nearby settlements include the town of Haslemere, the villages of Liphook, Bramshott, Linchmere (sometimes also spelt Lynchmere), Shottermill, Camelsdale, Critchmere, Hammer and Woolmer Hill. For transport there is the B2131 road which the hamlet is nearly on and the A3 road, the A287 road, the A286 road nearby. The nearest railway station is Haslemere railway station. It once had a beer house called the Sussex Bell. The Prince of Wales pub dates from the 1920s, and was listed in the 50th edition of the Good Beer Guide.

Amesbury School is a co-educational independent prep school in the Hindhead/Haslemere area of Surrey, England, educating pupils between the ages of 9 months and 13 years. It was founded in 1870. The Grade II*-listed main building was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and stands on a 34-acre (140,000 m2) estate.

St Edmund's School is a coeducational nursery, pre-prep, preparatory and senior school located in Hindhead, Surrey, around 10.5 miles south-west from the town of Guildford. It was founded in Hunstanton, Norfolk, in 1874.

Grayshott is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is on the Hampshire / Surrey border 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of Haslemere by road, and 46 miles (74 km) southwest of central London. The nearest rail link is Haslemere railway station. The present village consists of houses and shops on either side of the B3002 Headley Road, which leads from the A333 at Hindhead to Headley Down, Headley and Bordon, and Crossways Road which runs south east from the centre of the village. East of the village centre, joining these two roads, is Boundary Road, which marks the boundary between Hampshire and Surrey. Originally, the name referred to a hamlet a mile west of the present village. Grayshott was part of Headley parish until 1901 (ecclesiastical parish) and 1902 (civil parish). The present civil parish is part of East Hampshire District.

Linchmere, also spelled Lynchmere, is a village and a civil parish, the northernmost parish in the Chichester district of West Sussex, England. It is between Haslemere and Liphook, south of the B2131 road. As well as Linchmere village, the parish contains the settlements of Hammer and Camelsdale. Linchmere parish is bordered to the north by Haslemere in Surrey with a tributary of the River Wey as boundary, to the east by Fernhurst parish, to the south by Linch civil parish with the Shulbrede stream as boundary, and to the west by the civil parish of Bramshott in Hampshire. In the 2001 census there were 836 households in the civil parish, with a total population of 2,225. The population in the 2011 Census had increased to 2,392.

Bramshott Common is part of a large expanse of heathland, including Ludshott Common, near Bramshott, Hampshire, England.It was the site of Bramshott Camps, set up to accommodate Canadian troops during the two world wars. It is bisected by the A3 trunk road.

Bramshott Military Camp, often simplified to Camp Bramshott, was a temporary army camp set up on Bramshott Common, Hampshire, England during both the First and Second World Wars. Camp Bramshott was one of three facilities in the Aldershot Command area established by the Canadian Army. The permanent facility on both occasions was at the British Army's Bordon Military Camp. Bramshott was one of two temporary camps set-up for additional accommodation in the lead-up to D-Day, along with Witley Camp. There were five Canadian camps in the immediate vicinity of Camp Bramshott, each one given the name of one of the Great Lakes: Huron and Ontario Camps were located on Bramshott Common near the Portsmouth Road Superior Camp was located at the Grayshott end of Ludshott Common Erie Camp was located at Headley Down, in the area now occupied by Heatherlands estate. Connaught Military Hospital was located on Bramshott Common, adjacent to the A3 Trunk road There is a memorial to the Canadian troops which comprises, according to the Imperial War Museum's dedication page: Avenue of c. 400 trees, one for each Canadian serviceman who died in WW1 and WW2. These trees are each side of the A3 and there is an underpass to cross the road safely. Each tree is twinned with a grave in Bramshott Churchyard and St Joseph's Catholic Church, Grayshott. Ludshott Common and Waggoners Wells (the latter sometimes written with an apostrophe: Waggoners' Wells) is a National Trust reserve; Ludshott Common is an area of heathland and Waggoners Wells a series of man-made ponds with a connecting stream. The reserve is situated between Grayshott, Bramshott and Headley Down in East Hampshire, England. To the south is the large heathland area of Bramshott Common. Some 415 acres (168 ha) is under the care of the Woodland Trust.

Lynchmere Commons is a 122-hectare (300-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Lynchmere in West Sussex. It is owned and managed by the Lynchmere Society.This heathland site is composed of Stanley, Lynchmere and Marley Commons. They have diverse insect species and unusual plants such as bilberries.

The Hindhead Tunnel, opened in 2011, is part of the 4-mile (6.4 km) dual-carriageway that replaced one of the last remaining stretches of single-carriageway on the A3 road which connects the cities of London and Portsmouth. It was built to bypass the village of Hindhead in Surrey. It was constructed to improve road safety, reduce congestion and improve air quality around the village. At 1.14 miles (1.83 km) in length, the tunnel is the longest non-estuarial road tunnel in the United Kingdom, and takes the road beneath the Devil's Punch Bowl, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
