Betsham

Southfleet (also known as Southfleet for Springhead) was a railway station on the Gravesend West Line which served the small village of Southfleet in Kent, England.

Southfleet is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Dartford in Kent, England. The village is located three miles southwest of Gravesend, while the parish includes within its boundaries the hamlets of Betsham and Westwood. Southfleet takes its name from the River Fleet, a minor tributary of the River Thames. The water that supplied the river came from a place called Springhead, where there were watercress and oyster beds; the river then flowed through Southfleet, Ebbsfleet and Northfleet.

Westwood is a hamlet in the parish of Southfleet in Kent, England, in the west of the parish. It is one mile west of the village of Southfleet. In the 19th century it was one of only two hamlets within the parish (the other being Betsham, in addition to the main village). It lies around the crossroads formed by the Westwood Road (which leads to Betsham), Highcross Road (leads to Bean), Whitehall Road (leads to Longfield), and Hook Green Road (leads to Southfleet village). The Wheatsheaf Public House, near the crossroads, is a Grade II Listed Building. This dates from 15th – 16th century and is a timber-framed building, faced with plaster, with a hipped thatched roof. Nearby is Westwood farm. A quarter of a mile to the south lies the site of the former Longfield Halt railway station.

Ebbsfleet Valley is a new town and redevelopment area in Kent, South East England, and part of the Thames Gateway, southwest of Gravesend. Development is coordinated by the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation. It is named after the valley of the Ebbsfleet River, which it straddles. Although a small part of the site in the east lies within the borough of Gravesham, Ebbsfleet Valley primarily sits in the borough of Dartford.

Longfield Halt (also known as Longfield Halt for Pinden and Westwood) was a railway station on the Gravesend West Line which served the settlement of Grubb Street in Kent, England.

Beacon Wood Country Park is a public woodland in Bean near Dartford, in Kent, England. It was previously an industrial claypit then re-claimed as woodland park open to the public, currently owned by Lafarge.

These cover parts of south-east London and north-west Kent. The main sorting office in Dartford ceased operating in 2012 and became a Delivery Office. The area served includes most of the London Borough of Bexley and very small parts of the London Borough of Bromley and the Royal Borough of Greenwich, while in Kent it covers almost all the Borough of Dartford, most of the Gravesham district, the northeastern part of the Sevenoaks district and a very small part of the borough of Tonbridge and Malling.

The Ebbsfleet Academy (formerly Swan Valley Community School) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Swanscombe in the English county of Kent.The school converted to academy status on 1 November 2013 and was renamed The Ebbsfleet Academy. Until 2021 the school was sponsored by The Brook Learning Trust, but it was previously a community school administered by Kent County Council. However The Ebbsfleet Academy continues to coordinate with Kent County Council for admissions. It was taken on by the Leigh Academies Trust in 2021. The Ebbsfleet Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. The school is located at a community campus which includes a health centre, library and pharmacy and is adjacent to the Manor Primary School.

Bean is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Dartford, Kent, England. It is located 4.4 miles south east of Dartford and 5.4 miles south west of Gravesend.

Longfield Academy is an academy school in Longfield, Kent, England. The academy is operated by Leigh Academies Trust and occupies the site where Longfield Comprehensive and Axton Chase School used to be. Longfield Academy moved into new buildings in July 2011 and has 877 pupils.(Around 1,030 Pupils in 2018)

Longfield Chalk Bank is a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) nature reserve in Longfield in Kent. It is managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust.This chalk grassland site also has areas of woodland and scrub. Fauna include the common blue butterfly, slow worm, common lizard and willow warbler.There is access from West Shaw.

Springhead lies at the source of the River Ebbsfleet, just southwest of the Gravesend suburban conurbations. Springhead forms one of the major quarters of the Ebbsfleet Valley development, with housing and the associated facilities now under construction. It is the point at which the High Speed 1 rail line meets the A2 road.
