Monroe Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 37,117, its highest decennial count ever and an increase of 988 (+2.7%) from the 36,129 recorded at the 2010 census, which in turn had reflected an increase of 7,162 (+24.7%) from the 28,967 counted at the 2000 census. The township is part of the South Jersey region of the state and a suburb of Philadelphia, within the Delaware Valley. Monroe Township was originally formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 3, 1859, from portions of Washington Township while the area was still part of Camden County. Monroe Township was shifted to Gloucester County on February 28, 1871, along with the majority of Washington Township. In 1950, portions of the township were transferred to Winslow Township in Camden County. The township was named for President James Monroe.

The Franklin Township Public Schools are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade from Franklin Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising three schools, had an enrollment of 1,408 students and 114.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.4:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. Students from Newfield attend the district as part of a sending/receiving relationship begun in September 2010 after Newfield ended its prior relationship with the Buena Regional School District. Schools in the district (with 2018–19 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics) are Delsea Regional Middle School with 563 students in grades 7 and 8, and Delsea Regional High School with 1,047 students in grades 9 - 12.The New Jersey Department of Education has considered a vote by the Franklin Township Board of Education in June 2010 requesting that the district withdraw from the Delsea Regional School District, which would require that the Delsea region be dissolved as about 80% of the regional district's students come from Franklin. With the withdrawal of Franklin Township, two options being considered were to either have Franklin and Elk Townships create a new regional district with Newfield students attending on a send-receive basis, or having Franklin Township establish its own PreK-12 district which would receive students from both Elk Township and Newfield.

Free Library and Reading Room–Williamstown Memorial Library is located in the Williamstown section of Monroe Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The library was built in 1878 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 1, 1987.

Victory Christian School was a private Christian school located in the Williamstown section of Monroe Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The school was coeducational and Baptist-affiliated, serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school colors were royal blue and gold, and its athletic teams were known as the "Warriors". The school was a member of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). As of the 2009–10 school year, the school had 119 students (in K-12, plus 6 in Pre-Kindergarten) and 19.5 faculty members (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.1:1.

As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 16,380, a decrease of 440 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 16,820, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,354 (+8.8%) from the 15,466 counted in the 2000 census.Franklin Township was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on January 27, 1820, from portions of Greenwich Township and Woolwich Township. Parts of the township have been taken to form Clayton Township (February 5, 1858) and Newfield (March 8, 1924). The township was named for Benjamin Franklin.

Coda Rossa Winery is a winery in the Franklinville section of Franklin Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The vineyard was first planted in 2002. The current owners obtained the property and winery in 2021, and previously Coda Rossa opened to the public in 2010. Coda Rossa has 10 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 1,500 cases of wine per year. The winery is named for the Italian words coda rossa which mean "red tail," because of the red-tailed hawks that live near the farm.

The school was established in 1958.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,810 students and 131.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.8:1. There were 409 students (22.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 107 (5.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
