Ballantrae, Ontario (2011 population 1,382) is a hamlet in the Town of Whitchurch–Stouffville. Named after the village of Ballantrae in South Ayrshire, Scotland, the community is centred on the intersection of Aurora Road (York Regional Road 15) and Highway 48.

Pine Orchard is a hamlet in York Region, Ontario, Canada, in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville. It is centred at the intersection of Warden Avenue and Vivian Road in the north-western region of Whitchurch–Stouffville. The original settlers were Quakers who, like the early Mennonites of Whitchurch and Markham townships, were pacifists that came north after the American Revolution. The founder of the hamlet was Isaac Phillips, who arrived from Muncy County, Pennsylvania in 1802. A first post-office was established in 1853, and by 1860 three sawmills were operating in the area. In 1858 the hamlet had a population of 35. The community flourished towards the end of the nineteenth century until township; however at the beginning of the twentieth century the township was almost completely deforested, and the forest industry collapsed. The hamlet's post-office closed in 1914.

Holt is a former village which has been incorporated into the municipality of the Town of East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada, formerly the Township of East Gwillimbury. The municipal offices of the town are located in Sharon. The village is centred on the crossroads of Mt. Albert Rd and McCowan Rd. It is served by Highway 404 which is accessed via the Green Lane interchange. Before 2001, the nearest interchange was several kilometres south at Davis Drive in Newmarket. An extension of the highway to points further north was opened in September 2014.

Whitchurch-Stouffville (2021 population 49,864) is a town in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada, approximately 50 km (31 mi) north of downtown Toronto, and 55 km (34 mi) north-east of Toronto Pearson International Airport. It is 206.22 km2 (79.62 sq mi) in area, and located in the mid-eastern area of the Regional Municipality of York on the ecologically-sensitive Oak Ridges Moraine. Its motto since 1993 is "country close to the city".The town is bounded by Davis Drive (York Regional Road 31) in the north, York-Durham Line (York Regional Road 30) in the east, and Highway 404 in the west. The southern boundary conforms with a position approximately 200 m (660 ft) north of 19th Avenue (York Regional Road 29), and is irregular due to the annexation of lands formerly part of Markham Township in 1971.Between 2011 and 2021, the town grew 32.8%. The number of private dwellings jumped from 7,642 in 2001 to 16,705 in 2021, with an average of 3.0 people per private dwelling. The town projects a total population of 72,109 by 2031, and 91,654 in 2041, with most of the growth within the urban boundaries of the Community of Stouffville plus lands adjacent to Highway 48 and south of Stouffville Road. Future growth is governed provincially by the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act (2001), the Greenbelt Protection Act (2005) and the Places to Grow Act (2005). The intent of these statutes is to prevent urban sprawl on environmentally sensitive land and to protect the ecological integrity of the moraine and its hydrological features.

Mount Albert is a village located within the Town of East Gwillimbury and is part of York Region. It is located 65 km north-east of Toronto, 21 km south of Sutton, 45 km west-southwest of Beaverton and 30 km north of Markham. Mount Albert is accessible by Highway 404 and Highway 48. The population is currently about 4,900. Housing developments are slowly continuing north and south of the village. The downtown area is centred at Centre Street and Main Street. The town itself is bordered on the west by Highway 48, which connects Markham and Sutton, on the east by Durham Regional road 30, which serves as the townline between East Gwillimbury and Uxbridge, Doane road to the north and Herald road to the south. Vivian Creek passes through Mount Albert. The outlying area is forested mainly by private woodlots and some regionally owned and maintained pine forests while farmlands are found throughout the area. The major industry is farming (livestock, feed, and potatoes).

Musselman's Lake is a community settled adjacent to a 118-acre (0.48 km2) kettle lake of the same name in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. It is located about 6 km north-northwest of urban Stouffville, and is part of the Greater Toronto Area. It is accessible from Highway 48, which links Toronto to Beaverton, and from Highway 404, a limited-access 400-Series Highway 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) west of Musselman's Lake via Aurora Road or Bloomington Road. Ontario Highway 407 is located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south on Ninth Line in Markham. The main roads in the community are Ninth Line on the west side of the lake, and Lakeshore Road on the east. The area around the lake is dotted with a number of smaller kettle lakes, including Island Lake, Shadow Lake, Staley Lake and Windsor Lake. The area around Musselman's Lake feeds a small tributary to the East Holland River, which flows to the west.

Pleasantville is a community located in the Town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. It is a small hamlet consisting of mainly farms, residential homes and horse ranches. Pleasantville was originally settled by Quakers from Pennsylvania in the early nineteenth century.Pleasantville is situated east of Highway 404 and can be reached from Vivian Sideroad (Mulock Drive) by driving north on Woodbine Avenue.

St. Anne's School (SAS), founded in 2022, is an independent day school located in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. Closely associated with St. Andrew's College, Aurora, St. Anne's is a university-preparatory school for girls in grades 5 to 12, with students currently enrolled in grades 5-10, a new grade level will be added each year until 12 is reached. It is the first all-girls private school in the Regional Municipality of York.The school has 156 enrolled students with 18 to 22 students per classroom. Tuition ranges from $41,440 to 44,845 CAD.

Lemonville is a hamlet in York Region, Ontario, Canada, in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville. The hamlet is centred at the intersection of McCowan Road and Bloomington Road, in the geographical centre of Whitchurch-Stouffville.The settlement was named after George Lemon Sr. (1774–1834) of Oxford, New Jersey, who was granted land at this location in 1805. Methodist services first took place there in 1854, and the Lemonville Methodist Church (later United Church) was constructed in 1856. McEvoy's Province of Ontario Gazetteer and Directory of 1869 lists Lemonville as a village with a population of 75. In 1877, Lemonville reached a population of 100. Village industries included a boot and shoe factory, carriage works, cabinet maker, woollen mills, and a shoe repair shop. It was bypassed by the Toronto and Nipissing Railway in favour of Stouffville when it was constructed in 1871.The Lemonville post office closed in 1937.

Wesley Corners is a community situated in the Town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. The hamlet is located at the intersection of Woodbine Avenue (east of Highway 404) and York Regional Road 15/ Aurora Road. It was originally known as Hacking's Corners, after Rev. James Hacking who settled there in 1817. A Methodist Church was constructed of logs on the north-west corner in 1840; it was replaced by the current brick structure in 1881. The hamlet eventually became known as Wesley, in honour of the founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley.Today a service station and coffee shop are found on the south-west corner, and an auto repair shop on the south-east corner. Ducks Unlimited, a wetland and wildlife conservation organization, is on the north-east corner.

Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a naturist resort located in southern Ontario, about 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Toronto. It encompasses typical amenities for day users, 110 serviced campsites, five cabins, and five guest rooms. The club is situated on 50 acres (20 ha) of privately owned, forested land at the edge of the Oak Ridges Moraine, within the Ontario Greenbelt. Harrison Creek borders the northern boundary while the Black River bisects the property. There are also two ponds and a small lake.

Bloomington is a hamlet in York Region, Ontario, Canada, in the town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. The hamlet is centred at the intersection of Ninth Line and Bloomington Road near the eastern boundary of the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville. Neighbouring communities within Whitchurch–Stouffville include Musselman Lake to the north, Lemonville to the west, and the community of urban Stouffville to the south. The hamlet of Goodwood in the town of Uxbridge lies to the east.
