Bright School is a school in Gujarat, India, with a strength of around 15,000 students under the care of around 900 teaching and non-teaching staff. It is managed by the Bright Education Trust. Bright School was started in 1971 with three rooms and 33 students. The management was taken over by Shri Jayendrabhai Shah on 1 January 1973. The Vadodara Urban Development Authority is a civilian government body responsible for overseeing and sanctioning construction and infrastructure development across the suburbs of the city of Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat in India. The office of VUDA is at Karelibaug Near L&T Circle(parth), Vadodara. Recently the area of working of VUDA has been limited due to merger of 4 Gram Panchanyats of Vadodara district with the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. VUDA's main function is to prepare a macro plan i.e. a development plan for a horizon of 20 years for the Vadodara Urban agglomeration area. The area is demarcated based on functional criteria and thus accommodates areas of VMC as well as outgrowth covering municipalities and village panchayats. It mainly provides guided and planned development for the outgrowth of the city. For the area within the VMC jurisdiction, VUDA earmarks land for micro planning like town planning schemes (TP schemes). The TP schemes within the VMC area are prepared by the corporation and submitted to the Gujarat state government through VUDA.

The Chimnabai Clock Tower, also known as the Raopura Tower, is a clock tower situated in the Raopura area of Vadodara, Gujarat, India. It was completed in 1896 and named in memory of Chimnabai I (1864–1885), a queen and the first wife of Sayajirao Gaekwad III of Baroda State. It was built in Indo-Saracenic architecture style.

The 2006 Vadodara riots also known as the 2006 Dargah riots occurred on 1 May of that year in the city of Vadodara in the state of Gujarat in India. The riots were caused by the municipal council's decision to remove the dargah (shrine) of Syed Chishti Rashiduddin, a medieval Sufi saint. The shrine was between two and three hundred years old. The incident resulted in six to eight people being killed and forty-two injured, 16 of these were from police shooting.

Raopura is an area of Vadodara city, Gujarat, India. It is located in the Eastern part of the city. The EME Temple or "Dakshinamurthy Temple" is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, built in 1966 and run by Indian Army authorities in the city of Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat, Western India. It is unique in its concept and design and its geodesic structure, covered with aluminium sheets, is well regarded by archaeologists. It was built by the Indian Army Corps of EME. Credit for the idea and unique concept of this temple goes to माधव आचवल , a famous marathi writer and architect. This temple is a major attraction for both tourist and devotees and is one of its kind in the world.

Sayaji Baug is a garden located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Also known as "Kamati Baug", it was built by H.H. Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad - a great visionary ruler of Baroda. It is the biggest garden in Western India with the area surrounding more than 100 acres (40 ha).

Sursagar Lake also known as the Chand Talao is a lake situated in middle of the city of Vadodara in the State of Gujarat in India. The lake was rebuilt with stone masonry in the 18th Century. The water in this lake remains in it for the whole year. A concrete wall surrounds the lake on which the people use to sit. A 120 feet (37 m) tall statue of lord Shiva built by Vadodara mahanagar Seva Sadan stands in the middle of the lake. There are many underwater gates in the lake which empty the lake if it overflows. The water from the lake empties in the Vishvamitra River. The lake was used for boating. The statue of Shiva is lit with lights on Mahashivratri. As of 2015, boating has been prohibited in the lake for various issues. The lake is known for a large number of suicides which occur yearly. Between January and October 2014, 15 suicides were reported to the authorities, who attribute the lake's isolation and seclusion make it a choice destination for suicides.

The Baroda Museum & Picture Gallery in Vadodara was built in 1894 on the lines of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Science Museum of London. Major Mant in association with R.F. Chisholm who refined some of Mant's finest works to make genuine Indo-Saracenic architecture designed the Building of this Museum. Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III belonging to the Gaekwad dynasty of the Marathas founded the museum in 1887. The museum building was completed in 1894, when it opened to the public. Construction of the art gallery commenced in 1908, was completed in 1914, but did not open until 1921 as the First World War delayed transfer of pieces from Europe intended for the gallery.

Kirti Mandir (Gujarati: કિર્તિ મંદિર), or Temple of Fame, is the cenotaph of the Gaekwads, located in the city of Vadodara.
