Sayaji Baug

The Baroda Museum & Picture Gallery in Vadodara was built in 1894 on the lines of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Science Museum of London. Major Mant in association with R.F. Chisholm who refined some of Mant's finest works to make genuine Indo-Saracenic architecture designed the Building of this Museum. Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III belonging to the Gaekwad dynasty of the Marathas founded the museum in 1887. The museum building was completed in 1894, when it opened to the public. Construction of the art gallery commenced in 1908, was completed in 1914, but did not open until 1921 as the First World War delayed transfer of pieces from Europe intended for the gallery.

Sardar Patel Planetarium is a planetarium in Sayajibaug, Vadodara, Gujarat, India which was inaugurated in 1976. The pyramid-like building has four floors housing an amphitheatre, a planetarium chamber, an exhibition space and an observatory.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, formerly Baroda College, is a public university in the city of Vadodara, in Gujarat state, India. Originally established as a college in 1881, it became a university in 1949 after the independence of the country. It was later renamed after its benefactor Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the former ruler of Baroda State. The university offers undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral programs. It houses 89 departments spread over 6 campuses (2 rural and 4 urban) covering 275 acres of land.

Vadodara Stock Exchange (VSE) is a defunct stock exchange located in the city of Vadodara and fully owned by Government of India in Western India. It was established in 1990 at Vadodara. It is the only existing stock exchange in the state of Gujarat along with Ahmedabad. It is recognized by the Securities Contract (Regulations) Act of 1956 as a permanent stock exchange.From a humble beginning in 1986 with the Vadodara Stock Brokers' Association having 150 members, it was incorporated on 22 January 1990 as Vadodara Stock Exchange Limited. By 1999, the exchange had a total of 321 brokers, of which 65 were corporate brokers, 253 were proprietor brokers, and 3 were partnership brokers. Then, there were only 85 sub-brokers registered.

Sayajigunj is an area in the western side of Vadodara City in the state of Gujarat in India. Vadodara Railway Station and Central State Transport Bus depot is located in Sayajigung, which is why it is referred as a gate way to Vadodaracity. Subway has also established its presence in Sayajigunj. Mostly, area is covered with stock brokers offices, hotels for stay, restaurants, banks, commercial Complex and University.

Angadh was a Mehwas (petty princely state) under British India, spanning a part of what is now Vadodara district in Gujarat. Angadh is the sacred place of pilgrimages on the banks of the Mahi river where Koli people gather in large numbers to see full moon in Chaitra.

Baroda Medical College is a medical educational institution for undergraduate and postgraduate medical studies that comes under the Faculty of Medicine of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. It is located in the Raopura area at Vadodara, India. It is primarily affiliated with Sir Sayajirao General Hospital. The college was established in 1949.
