Mamer railway station

Mamer Castle (Luxembourgish: Mamer Schlass, French: Château de Mamer, German: Mamer Schloss) is the town hall for the commune of Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg. It is the home of the communal council, the site of local government offices, and the centre of administration for communal services. It is located on Place de l'Indépendance near the centre of the town. It is made up of four buildings, set in recently landscaped surroundings. At the main entrance, there is a sculpture of Nicolas Frantz, two-time Tour de France winner, and Josy Barthel, Luxembourg's only Olympic gold medallist, both of whom were born in Mamer.

Stade François Trausch is a football stadium in Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg. It is currently the home stadium of FC Mamer 32. The stadium has a capacity of 2,600.

Mamer Lycée railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Mamer Lycée, French: Gare de Mamer Lycée, German: Bahnhof Mamer Lycée) is a railway station in Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg. It is named after the Lycée Technique Josy Barthel, which it was built to serve. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station also serves the European School, Luxembourg II. In 2013 some parents at the school expressed concern with the speeds of some of the trains.The station is situated on Line 50, which connects Luxembourg City to the west of the country and the Belgian town of Arlon.

Mamer (Luxembourgish pronunciation: [ˈmaːmɐ] ) is a commune and town (strictly classified as a village) in south-western Luxembourg. It is located 7 km (4.3 mi) west of Luxembourg City. The commune includes both Mamer itself and the smaller communities of Capellen and Holzem. Mamer is situated on the river Mamer, a tributary of the Alzette. The A6 motorway from Luxembourg to Brussels, also designated European route E25, runs through Mamer. As of 2014, Mamer, which lies in the east of the commune, has a population of 8,173. The town is the thirteenth-largest in Luxembourg. The commune as a whole is the fourteenth-most populous in the country.

Kinneksbond is a cultural centre in Mamer in southern Luxembourg. Opened in October 2010, it houses a 480-seat auditorium with a stage and orchestra pit suitable for concerts, drama performances and shows. Designed by the architect Jim Clemes from Esch-sur-Alzette, the ultra-modern facility also contains dress rooms, a room for band rehearsals and a number of smaller rooms for music teaching. There is a spacious foyer with a cloakroom and bar.Located some 9 km (5.6 mi) west of Luxembourg City, it is home both to the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg and to the brass band Harmonie Mamer. It regularly hosts shows and musical productions, attracting audiences not only from the local area but from south-western Luxembourg and the border regions. In addition to its local cultural functions, the centre is also available for conferences and business meetings.

Lycée Josy Barthel (English: Josy Barthel High School), abbreviated to LJBM, is a high school in Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg. It was opened in September 2003, and cost €67.4m to build. It comprises 60 classrooms and 16 workshops, and has a capacity of 1,300 students. It is named after Josy Barthel, winner of Luxembourg's only Olympic gold medal-winner and former cabinet member. It is served by its own railway station, Mamer Lycée, which lies 500 metres (550 yards) to the west. The first denomination of the highschool was Lycée technique Josy Barthel and has been changed into Lycée Josy Barthel on 1 September 2009. Since then the school offers all class from 7th to 1st degree (enseignement secondaire(in French)).

Capellen is a canton in southwestern Luxembourg. Its capital is Capellen (in the commune of Mamer).

Olm (Luxembourgish: Ollem) is a village in the commune of Kehlen, in western Luxembourg.

Capellen (Luxembourgish: Cap/Capellen [kɑpˈælən]) is a town in the commune of Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg, 12 km west of Luxembourg City. As of 2006, the town has a population of 1,336. Despite not having a commune named after it, Capellen lends its name to the canton of Capellen, and is the only town in Luxembourg to bear the latter distinction but not the former. Capellen is home of the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA), currently being transformed into the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) which will act as the headquarters of NATO's Agencies. The site occupies a large part of the town south of the route d'Arlon. To the west of the NAMSA complex is Capellen railway station, which lies on Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois' Line 50. The town is the site of one of the six regional headquarters of the Grand Ducal Police. A museum dedicated to police uniforms and accessories, both national and international, was opened in the town on 21 June 2007.

Holzem (pronounced [ˈholtsəm]) is a small town in the commune of Mamer, in southwestern Luxembourg. As of 2006, it has a population of 581 of which 406 are Luxembourgers. Holzem still has a distinctly rural atmosphere but in recent years a number of small companies have been established there.

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (French: Agence OTAN de soutien et d'acquisition), abbreviated to NSPA, is the main logistics and procurement agency of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and is the executive branch of the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation (NSPO), formerly NATO Maintenance and Supply Organization (NAMSO).Until 2012, the tasks were organised with the NATO Supply Agency and other institutions. It has about 1200 employees in Luxembourg, France, Italy and Hungary. On 1 April 2015, organisation and structure of NSPO and NSPA changed. This change marks the expansion of Agency capabilities to include all aspects of systems procurement from initial acquisition throughout sustainment. La Belle Etoile is a shopping mall in Bertrange, in south-western Luxembourg. It is owned by Cactus, Luxembourg's largest retailer and third-largest employer.It is located on the route d'Arlon (N6), 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the west of Luxembourg City, next to the village of Tossenberg. The centre is home to 65 stores, making it Luxembourg's largest shopping centre. The anchor store of the complex is a Cactus hypermarket. Other well-known tenants include Benetton, The Body Shop, C&A, and H&M. The centre has parking for 3,000 cars.
