Skatval Church (Norwegian: Skatval kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Skatval. It is the church for the Skatval parish which is part of the Stjørdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design and a Swiss chalet style in 1901 using plans drawn up by the architect Johan Wæhre. The church seats about 440 people.

Kvithammer or Kvithammar is a village in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the northwestern part of the municipality, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of the town of Stjørdalshalsen and a short distance southeast of the village of Skatval. The 0.13-square-kilometre (32-acre) village had a population (2019) of 211 and a population density of 1,623 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,200/sq mi). Since 2019, the population and area data for this village area has not been separately tracked by Statistics Norway. Kvithammar is mainly known for the Bioforsk Grassland and Landscape Division which is an agricultural research station in the area. It is located on the Skatval peninsula, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the Forbordsfjellet mountain.

Vold Station (Norwegian: Vold holdeplass) was a railway station on the Nordland Line in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The station was located in Voll, just southeast of the village of Skatval. It opened in 1938. In 1959, the station was moved 100 meters (330 ft) southwards. The station was closed on 27 May 1990.

Fættenfjorden is a small fjord that branches off of the Trondheimsfjord northeast of the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The fjord is located on the border of Stjørdal Municipality and Levanger Municipality. The European route E06 highway runs along the southern shore of the 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) long fjord.

Nord-Trøndelag University College (Norwegian: Høgskolen i Nord-Trøndelag or HiNT) was a Norwegian university college located throughout the county of Nord-Trøndelag. HiNT had about 5,500 students and 440 employees in 2013. In January 2016, the university was merged with Nesna University College and the University of Nordland, becoming Nord University. The school offered higher education within nursing, teaching, business administration, public administration, pharmacy, agriculture, engineering and information technology. Master degrees were offered within gymnastics (since 1971), interdisciplinary health studies and knowledge management, while a Master of Science in public administration was offered in cooperation with Trondheim Business School and Copenhagen Business School. Prior to the consolidation, its campuses were located in Levanger, Namsos, Steinkjer and Stjørdal, with the administration in Steinkjer. The college was created in 1994 as a merger between a number of independent colleges in the county. HiNT had a revenue of NOK 330 million in 2008. Prior to the merger, the university college was associated with the research institution Trøndelag R&D Institute. HiNT took over the National Driving Teacher School in Stjørdal on 1 January 2004.

Stjørdal Station (Norwegian: Stjørdal stasjon) is a railway station located in the town of Stjørdalshalsen in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The station is located along the Nordland Line. It is located just north of the intersection of the E14 and E6 highways. The station serves both local and express trains northbound to Innherred and Nordland and southbound to Trondheim Central Station. The Trøndelag Commuter Rail between Steinkjer and Trondheim stops here hourly.

Stjørdalshalsen or Stjørdal (nickname: Halsen) is a town and the administrative centre of Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located between the rivers Stjørdalselva and Gråelva to the south and north and by the Trondheimsfjord to the west. The 8.74-square-kilometre (2,160-acre) town has a population (2024) of 15,693 and a population density of 1,796 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,650/sq mi). Stjørdalshalsen was granted town status in 1997. The Nordland Line runs through the town, which is served by Stjørdal Station. The junction of the European route E14 and European route E6 highways is in Stjørdalshalsen, just north of Trondheim Airport, Værnes. Stjørdalshalsen has quite a variety of industry including industries involving mineral products, glassware, plastics, and food production. There is also the offices of the operational management for the Heidrun field in the North Sea. The administrative offices for the Central Norway Regional Health Authority are also in the town. Ole Vig Upper Secondary School and some primary schools are also located in the town.

Nedre Stjørdalen is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1850 until its dissolution in 1902. The 340-square-kilometre (130 sq mi) municipality covered the western part of what is now Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre was located at Værnes where Værnes Church is located.

It is located along the Nordlandsbanen railway line. The station is served hourly by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail service to Steinkjer and Trondheim. The service is operated by SJ Norge. There is free parking at the station, but no ticket machine.

Prior to its dissolution in 1962, the 94.5-square-kilometre (36.5 sq mi) municipality was the 544th largest by area out of the 731 municipalities in Norway. Skatval Municipality was the 454th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of about 1,983. The municipality's population density was 21 inhabitants per square kilometre (54/sq mi) and its population had decreased by 3.8% over the previous 10-year period. Skatval is divided in several geographical parts listed here counterclockwise from north: Langstein, Nordbygda, Sørbygda, Midtbygda, and Vassbygda. The Skatval peninsula is an important farming area, belonging to the plain districts of Trøndelag. The cultural landscape is dominated in the east by mountainous area with the highest being Forbordsfjellet at 596 metres (1,955 ft) above sea level. The mountaintop is a regional landmark.
