The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (Malay: Akademi Sains Malaysia) is a statutory body in the Malaysian government established under an act of Parliament (Academy of Sciences Malaysia Act 1994). The Academy, abbreviated as ASM, is the highest scientific advisory body of Malaysia, and is organizationally under the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC).Its purpose is to be the ‘Think Tank’ of Malaysia for matters related to science, engineering, technology and innovation, and to pursue excellence in the fields of science, engineering and technology. The Academy consists (as of 2018) of 353 Fellows in eight science disciplines. The current President is Professor Datuk Dr Asma Ismail.

Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Malay: Pusat Pameran dan Perdagangan Antarabangsa Malaysia), often abbreviated as MITEC, is the largest trade and exhibition centre of Malaysia in the suburb of Segambut, Kuala Lumpur. MITEC is the first component and flagship of Naza TTDI’s KL Metropolis development with a total gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM20 billion. It is located right next to MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre. The centre has a gross floor area of 143,191 square meters (1.5 million square feet), sprawling over a 13.3-acre prime land and a total of 484,376 square meters of exhibit space with ceilings as high as 36 meters making indoor sporting events feasible.MITEC also consists of the largest pillar-less exhibition hall in Malaysia. It is capable of hosting mega-exhibitions for over 100,000 visitors and conventions with the capacity of 20,000 as well as 28,300 visitors in banquet seating at a time during events. MITEC is poised to be the first exhibition and convention venue of choice in the Southeast Asia region. Nine events of the South East Asia Games were held at MITEC. The architecture takes inspiration from a Rubber Seed and Songket, a traditional Malay fabric.

The Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex (Malay: Kompleks Mahkamah Kuala Lumpur) is a large courthouse complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, housing various courts of the country's judicial system. The complex is situated along Jalan Duta (Duta Road) in Segambut, some 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) away from the earlier location of the judicial system at a collection of colonial buildings affront the Merdeka Square. The building was constructed beginning 1 March 2004 at a final cost of RM290 million, was opened for use on 18 April 2007, and was fully operational on 3 May 2007.

The Federal Territory Mosque (Malay: Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan) is a mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located near MATRADE complex and the Federal Government Complex off Jalan Duta, in Segambut district.

The National Archives of Malaysia (Malay: Arkib Negara Malaysia) is a Malaysian archive located in Kuala Lumpur.

The Segambut KTM Komuter station (formerly Segambut railway station) is a Malaysian commuter train station located in the northern area of Kuala Lumpur along the Port Klang Line. The Segambut Komuter station was built to cater traffic in Segambut, a suburban area situated near Kepong, which is also connected via the Kepong Komuter station and the Kepong Sentral Komuter station a few kilometres away. This station was planned in the 1990s to be a terminus for KL Monorail's extension route from Titiwangsa station, which never materalised.

The Ibn Khaldun International Institute of Advanced Research (abbreviated ISLAH; formerly known as International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation) is a research and postgraduate institution of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) located at Pesiaran Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin off Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ISLAH was changed from its former name, the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisations (ISTAC) for a very short time (within less than 6 months since its inception in 2015). The change of name to ISLAH was a political move to save ISTAC by several former academics when it was instructed to be relocated and restructured. But the inception did not last long and later, all the programmes based at ISLAH were merged with IRKHS courses, and its professors and students relocated to International Islamic University Malaysia main campus in Gombak. The compound where the 'beacon at the crest of a hill' once stands, is managed by then, the Centre for Strategic Continuing Education and Training (CRESCENT) until 2017 when it changed its ownership to the International Institute of Islamic Civilisation and the Malay World (Malay World, later on asked to remain the old name ISTAC by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Zahid Hamidi).

The French School of Kuala Lumpur (French: Lycée français de Kuala Lumpur Henri-Fauconnier, LFKL; Malay: Sekolah Perancis Kuala Lumpur) is a French international school in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Its education levels range from kindergarten through lycée (senior high school).The school first opened in 1962. It moved to Bukit Tunku in 1983. The main campus was along Jalan Tun Ismail, while the preschool (maternelle) was on a separate site. In 2004 the first stone of the current campus was laid. In September of the following year the current campus opened.

Mont Kiara often stylized as Mont' Kiara and MK, is a township located at the northwest of downtown Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the constituency of Segambut. The township consists mainly of residential condominiums and office complexes which were mostly developed by UEM Sunrise Berhad, a well-known property development arm of UEM Group. It is located in the heart of Klang Valley, roughly halfway between Kepong and downtown Kuala Lumpur. It is adjacent to Sri Hartamas in the south and KL Metropolis in the east, and is heavily populated by expats consisting of Japanese, Koreans, Chinese as well as Arabians. Mont Kiara is a 15-minute drive to either Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya or downtown Kuala Lumpur. Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is a 10-minute drive away using Sprint Expressway. While the name "North Kiara" refers to the area situated within the vicinity of Mont Kiara and Segambut Dalam. The name has been used by developers up till now to link their property developments in the area to it.

The installation of Sultan Ibrahim as the 17th King of Malaysia (Malay: Yang di-Pertuan Agong) is expected to take place a few months after Ibrahim ascends the throne on 31 January 2024, at Balairung Seri, Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony will be held in the Malay Royal Ceremony. During the ceremony, the new King will recite his Oath of Installation and give his first speech from the Throne. Ibrahim was elected by the Malay Rulers in the 263rd Special Meeting of the Conference of Rulers, held at Istana Negara on 27 October 2023. The previous King, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, ended his five-year reign on 30 January 2024.

The installation of Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah as the sixteenth Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia took place in a Malay Royal Ceremony at the Balairong Seri, Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, 30 July 2019 at 10 a.m. He was elected earlier by the Malay Rulers in the 251st Special Meeting of Conference of Rulers which was held at Istana Negara on 24 January 2019. The meeting was held upon the resignation of the previous Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Muhammad V of Kelantan who step down from his post on 6 January 2019. Abdullah will hold the position for a period of 5 years beginning on 31 January 2019. The installation ceremony was held months after his election to allow the planning committees to make adequate preparation for it. During the ceremony, he read his Oath of Installation, and gave his first speech from the Throne. Celebrations took place across the country and commemorative coins, and stamps were issued. It was broadcast live on multiple media outlets such as television and through YouTube. This installation ceremony was a special occasion for Abdullah as it was held on his 60th birthday.
