Churchville School

Bensenville is a village located near O'Hare International Airport in DuPage County, Illinois, with a portion of the town in Cook County. As of the 2020 census, the village population was 18,813. First known as Tioga, it was formally established as Bensenville in 1873 along the Milwaukee Road (now Canadian Pacific) right-of-way. The community is named after Bensen, Germany, a village in the municipality of Sudwalde. A post office was established in 1873, but because there was an existing "Benson", the suffix "ville" was added.The Edge Ice Arena is located in Bensenville, former home of the Chicago Steel junior ice hockey team. The Churchville School in Bensenville is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bensenville is a station on Metra's Milwaukee District West Line in Bensenville, Illinois. The station is 17.2 miles (27.7 km) away from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Bensenville is in zone D. As of 2018, Bensenville is the 115th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 414 weekday boardings.As of 2022, Bensenville is served by 16 inbound trains and 18 outbound trains on weekdays, by all 12 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays. Bensenville station is actually located on the south side of Main Street across from the railroad tracks. A wide at-grade pedestrian crosswalk provides access between West Main Street and the station. Parking is available along the south side of West Main Street west of Addison Street, but also behind the station house at the intersection of Center & Railroad Streets. Canadian Pacific's Bensenville Yard is east of the station.

The Odeum Expo Center was a convention center located in Villa Park, Illinois. It featured 20,106 square feet (1,868 m2) of exhibit space at the North Hall and 21,632 square feet (2,010 m2) of exhibit space at the South Hall. Both halls had pitched roofs as high as 50 feet (15 m). The South Hall was also used as an arena with an 85-by-194-foot artificial turf surface for indoor soccer or indoor football. It seated 2,500 for indoor soccer, football or lacrosse, and up to 5,500 for boxing, MMA/UFC, wrestling, and concerts. In addition, the Odeum Expo Center featured two mezzanines, the lower with 4,340 square feet (403 m2) and the upper mezzanine with 13,024 square feet (1,210 m2) and a roof up to 40 feet (12 m). There were also 9,750 square feet (906 m2) of meeting space and a 2,064-square-foot (192 m2) lobby. In 2010, the Odeum became the home to the Chicago Cardinals of the Continental Indoor Football League. Also in 2010 the Chicago Riot of the Major Indoor Soccer League began play at the Odeum Expo Center. In 2014, the Chicago Blitz professional indoor football team began play at the Odeum in the CIFL. They continued their home games through 2016 as a member of the AIF, until the league folded and team subsequently cancelled their remaining season games. In January 2022, it was announced that the Odeum would be sold and permanently closed at the end of May 2022.

Mount Emblem Cemetery is located at the intersection of Grand Avenue and County Line Road in Elmhurst, Illinois. Mount Emblem is perhaps best known as the home of the Fischer Windmill, popularly known as "The Old Dutch Mill", a typical Dutch windmill that towers above the trees and can be clearly seen from southbound I-294. Construction started on the mill in 1865, and the land became a cemetery in 1925, with the windmill becoming a museum. The latest renovations to the windmill were made in 2015. The tower is 51 feet (16 m) high. Sails were originally mounted on a latticework that spanned 74 feet (23 m), but now spans only 50 feet (15 m).

Addison Township is one of nine townships in DuPage County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 88,351 and it contained 32,306 housing units.

The Edge Ice Arena includes The Edge on John Street, The Water's Edge Aquatic Center, and The Edge II Ice Arena a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena located in Bensenville, Illinois. It had been used as the official training facility and practice arena for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League before the team built a new downtown Chicago training facility. The arena also had been used by Chicago Steel (USHL) from 2000 to 2015. The ice arena is also the home to the Roosevelt Lakers men's and women's college ice hockey teams competing at the ACHA Division I level. Until Roosevelt's merger with Robert Morris University Illinois in 2020, it was the home of Robert Morris Eagles ice hockey. The Edge is also home to several local high school ice hockey teams, and is used by local figure skating clubs, youth, and adult rec. ice hockey leagues (the Chicago Blues), as well as public skating.

Wood Dale is a station on Metra's Milwaukee District West Line in Wood Dale, Illinois. The station is 19.1 miles (30.7 km) away from Chicago Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Wood Dale is in zone D. As of 2018, Wood Dale is the 83rd busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 596 weekday boardings.As of December 12, 2022, Wood Dale is served by 42 trains (20 inbound, 22 outbound) on weekdays, by all 24 trains (12 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays.

Elmhurst is a Metra commuter railroad station in downtown Elmhurst, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. It is served by the Union Pacific West Line, and lies 15.7 miles (25.3 km) from the eastern terminus. Trains go east to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and as far west as Elburn, Illinois. Travel time to Ogilvie ranges from 39 minutes on local trains to 26 minutes on express trains, as there are some trains that go non-stop between Elmhurst and Chicago. Evening peak trains make the run between Ogilvie and Elmhurst in as little as 24 minutes. As of 2022, Elmhurst is served by all 20 trains in each direction on weekdays, by all 10 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays and holidays. As of 2018, Elmhurst is the fourth busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 2,540 weekday boardings.The station is on ground level, on York Street between 1st Street and Park Avenue. Elmhurst University and Wilder Park Conservatory are both several blocks away. Pace suburban buses stop on York Street and on 1st Street. The station is just a few blocks west of Union Pacific's Proviso railroad yard. Due to the relatively close proximity to the railroad yard, Metra trains occasionally must use the middle track to avoid the frequent freight traffic. Because the middle track has no platform, the train’s cab car receives and discharges passengers at the York Road railroad crossing when this does occur.

Elmhurst is a city mostly in DuPage County and overlapping into Cook County in the U.S. state of Illinois, and a western suburb of Chicago. As of 2021, the city has an estimated population of 47,260.

Elmhurst University is a private university in Elmhurst, Illinois. It has a tradition of service-oriented learning and an affiliation with the United Church of Christ. The university changed its name from Elmhurst College on July 1, 2020.

Hauptgebaude, (German: [ˈhaʊ̯ptɡəˌbɔɪ̯də] (listen); lit. 'main building') also known as Old Main, was the predecessor to Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, Illinois. The three-story building was constructed in 1878 as a gymnasium style of school, reflecting the German heritage of the local residents. The new building allowed the school to increase its enrollment to 103 students in its first year. Classes in the Hauptgebaude were solely taught in German until 1917. In 1919, the school became accredited as a junior college. Starting in 1928, the school added additional buildings to the campus. The school began admitting female students in 1930, and received accreditation as a four-year college in 1934. Old Main functioned as the school's administration building until the 1950s. It was renovated in 1920 after a major fire, and again in 1976 and 1995. At one time or another, Old Main housed the science labs, the cafeteria, a pipe organ, and a Fumatorium (smoking room) where students in the early 1900s smoked, talked and played chess. Along with Irion Hall, Old Main even served as the library (in an unofficial capacity) before Memorial Library was built. Old Main now houses faculty offices, art studios and general classrooms and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
