Kirchbrak is a municipality in the district of Holzminden, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The municipality lies only a few kilometers east of Bodenwerder. Through Kirchbrak flows a small river called Lenne, a tributary of the Weser. It consists of five small villages and hamlets, named Kirchbrak, Westerbrak, Osterbrak, Breitenkamp and Heinrichshagen. Kirchbrak is situated on the northern edge of the hilly area Vogler. Kirchbrak has two monumental buildings: the Lutheran Saint Michael's Church, built in the 12th century, containing a remarkable 18th-century church organ and a 17th-century altarpiece; only open to visitors for attending Sunday services. the AMCO-Fabrikerweiterungsgebäude (AMCO factory enlargement building; built in 1925), an industrial monument designed by the famous architects Walter Gropius and Ernst Neufert; especially remarkable, because it is one of the earliest architectural creations in which Neufert took part.

Vogler (hill range)

The Vogler is a range of hills, up to 460.4 m high, in the Weser Uplands in southern Lower Saxony (Germany). Together with the Solling, the Vogler forms the Solling-Vogler Nature Park which lies a couple of kilometres further south.

Ebersnacken

At 460 metres (1,510 ft) above sea level the Ebersnacken is the highest hill in the forested uplands of the Vogler in Lower Saxony, Germany. The hill is situated in the district of Holzminden about half way as the crow flies between Bodenwerder to the northwest and Stadtoldendorf to the southeast. On the summit, which is surrounded by the northern part of the Solling-Vogler Nature Park, stands an observation tower, the Ebersnacken Tower (Ebersnackenturm), from which there is not only a good all-round view of the surrounding Weser Uplands, but also a view eastwards as far as the Harz mountains. At the foot of the tower is a barbecue hut. No roads lead to the Ebersnacken; it can only be reached on footpaths, for example from the Holenberg to the southeast.

Bodenwerder was a Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district of Holzminden, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its seat was in the town Bodenwerder. On 1 January 2010, it merged with the former Samtgemeinde Polle to form the new Samtgemeinde Bodenwerder-Polle. Amelungsborn Abbey

Amelungsborn Abbey, also Amelunxborn Abbey (Kloster Amelungsborn), is a Lutheran monastery in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located near Negenborn and Stadtoldendorf, in the Landkreis of Holzminden in the Weserbergland. It was the second oldest Cistercian foundation in Lower Saxony, Germany, after Walkenried Abbey. It survived the Reformation by becoming Lutheran, and with Loccum Abbey, also previously Cistercian, is one of the only two Lutheran monasteries in Germany with an uninterrupted tradition. The abbey church, St. Mary's, is also the parish church of the abbey's former estate villages Negenborn and Holenberg.
