Sofia Ring Mall is a shopping mall in Sofia, Bulgaria. It opened doors on 6 November 2014. Sofia Ring Mall is a shopping center of new generation, which has two hundred stores representing over 400 brands of which 100 completely new to the Bulgarian market. The shopping center has the largest indoor amusement center; the largest indoor karting track for the country with an area of 7,500 m2 (81,000 sq ft); the largest department store, extending to 6,500 m2 (70,000 sq ft); free parking lot with a total of 3,500 parking spaces and VIP parking lot with 100 places.Sofia Ring Development will have a total cost of more than 300 million euro. The investment comes from the Greek companies Fourlis Group, which manages IKEA's franchising in Bulgaria, and Danaos Group, specialized in the shipping industry. It will be the largest mixed-use project in Bulgaria, spreading over an area of 400,000 m2 (4,300,000 sq ft), with 100,000 m2 (1,100,000 sq ft) belonging to the mall and its adjacent IKEA store, all near the southern arc of the Sofia ring road. In the near future it is expected that the Sofia Metro will have a nearby Metro station.

The Anglo-American School in Sofia (AAS) is a private school founded in 1967 in Sofia under the sponsorship of the American and British embassies. In 2005 the school was incorporated by virtue of an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the United States of America.

Lake Pancharevo (Панчаревско езеро, Pancharevsko ezero or Язовир Панчарево, Pancharevo Reservoir) is an artificial lake in western Bulgaria, at the end of the Pancharevo Gorge of the Iskar River, located at 600 m above sea level between the Vitosha and Lozenska mountains. It is 3 km long and up to 700 m wide, reaching a depth of 30 m, and is situated 12 km southeast of the capital city of Sofia, where the Vitoshka Bistritsa flows into the Iskar. The villages of Pancharevo and Kokalyane and the Pancharevo mineral springs lies on the lake's western shore, while at the southern end of the lake there is a hydroelectric power station. Sports centres and catering establishments have been constructed around the lake, making it a favoured outing location for the residents of Sofia. Further upstream in the gorge there are two additional artificial lakes: the Pasarel Reservoir and the Iskar Reservoir. The lake was created in 1956 in connection with the construction of Hydrohub "Iskar", as a drinking, irrigation and energy source for the Sofia Agglomeration. The (Sredets) National Rowing Base is located on the shore of Lake Pancharevo. Built in 1968, the rowing base is the first modern facility in Bulgaria, specializing in conducting training and competitions in rowing events. In 1977 it hosted the World Cup canoe in the capital, and in 1981, the World Championships for young people in water sports. Over the years, it has been host to several world championships, national and international rowing regattas, and the European Triathlon Championships.

Golyam Kupen (Bulgarian: Голям Купен) is a peak rising to 1,930 m in Vitosha Mountain, Bulgaria. The peak is situated on the southern border of Bistrishko Branishte Biosphere Reserve, on the watershed between Vitoshka Bistritsa to the north and Selska Reka (‘Village River’) to the south, rivers flowing eastwards to the villages of Bistritsa and Zheleznitsa respectively, and eventually to Iskar River. Golyam Rezen is accessible by tracks coming from Golyam Rezen Peak in the northwest; from Aleko Centre via the upper Bistrishko Branishte; and from Zheleznitsa Village in the east-southeast. Fizkulturnik Chalet is situated in the southern foothills of the peak, overlooking Kazana (‘Cauldron’) site.

Akademik Aleksandar Teodorov - Balan Metro Station (Bulgarian: Метростанция "Академик Александър Теодоров - Балан") is a station on the Sofia Metro in Bulgaria. It started operation on 8 May 2015.

Bistritsa or Vitoshka Bistritsa (Bulgarian: Бистрица; Витошка Бистрица; Бистришка река), is a river in western Bulgaria, tributary of Iskar River. It flows from the eastern slopes of Golyam Rezen Peak on Vitosha Mountain, crossing Bistrishko Branishte Nature Reserve, where it forms a small but beautiful waterfall, known as Samokovishteto, then crossing the villages of Bistritsa and Pancharevo to flow into Lake Pancharevo, near Sofia. Additional charm of the area offer several artificial waterfalls in the lower reaches of the river.

Golyamata Gramada (Bulgarian: Голямата грамада, ‘Big Pile’) is one of the largest stone rivers on Vitosha Mountain, Bulgaria. The feature is situated in the upper valley of Vitoshka Bistritsa River in Bistrishko Branishte Nature Reserve, extending near 1 km, and up to 300 m wide. The stone river is ‘descending’ from elevation 1900 m above sea level at the foothills of Golyam Rezen Peak to 1550 m off the track between Bistritsa village and Aleko site (1810 m), the most popular tourist centre on Vitosha Mountain accessible also from Sofia by gondola lift.

The 23rd Multi-member Constituency (Bulgarian: 23-ти многомандатен избирателен район) is one of the five Bulgarian constituencies whose borders are different from the administrative division. It comprises several regions in South-West and South-East Sofia.

Mladost (Bulgarian: Младост, meaning "Youth") is a district of Sofia. It is one of the most modern and fast developing areas in the city. As of 2012 it has 114,887 inhabitants which makes it the second-most-populous district in the capital, situated in the south-east end of Sofia, between Druzhba and Vitosha mountain. The largest business complex in Bulgaria is situated in the south end: Business Park Sofia. Mladost is among the safest and cleanest districts of Sofia. In May 2011 it became one of the first neighbourhoods of Sofia to have a complete cycling route of more than 8 km.
