Horne Creek Farm is a historical farm near Pinnacle, Surry County, North Carolina. The farm is a North Carolina State Historic Site that belongs to the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, and it is operated to depict farm life in the northwest Piedmont area c. 1900. The historic site includes the late 19th century Hauser Farmhouse, which has been furnished to reflect the 1900-1910 era, along with other supporting structures. The farm raised animal breeds that were common in the early 20th century. The site also includes the Southern Heritage Apple Orchard, which preserves about 800 trees of about 400 heritage apple varieties. A visitor center includes exhibits, a gift shop and offices. The State Historic Site regularly hosts special events, which focus on farm life and techniques from the early 20th century, and include sheep shearing, corn shucking, ice cream socials, heritage crafts, music and pie baking. The farmhouse was built about 1880, and is a two-story, three-bay, single-pile log building with weatherboard sheathing and a wood-shingled gable roof. Also on the property are the contributing double-crib log barn (c. 1846), wellhouse/washhouse (c. 1880), log smokehouse (c. 1880), log tobacco barn (c. 1910), corncrib (c. 1930), a fruit house (c. 1900) and family cemetery (c. 1853). A reconstructed fruit and vegetable drying house was placed where the original once stood. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Davis Brothers Store is a historic general store located at East Bend, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built in 1913, and is a two-story brick commercial building. The front facade features intact store fronts and entrances and a one-story shed-roofed canopy-like porch. Also on the property is a contributing center-passage frame storage barn dated to the 1930s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Morse and Wade Building, also known as the Yadkin Valley Hotel, is a historic commercial building located at East Bend, Yadkin County, North Carolina. It was built about 1890, and is a two-story, brick building on a brick foundation. It has Italianate style design elements including arched window and door openings. The building initially housed the Yadkin Valley Hotel in the east half and the Morse and Wade Store in the west half. From about 1903 to 1940, it housed a tobacco bag factory. It is the oldest known commercial building in East Bend.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Yadkin Township is one of nine townships in Stokes County, North Carolina, United States. The township had a population of 19,592 according to the 2000 census and is by the far the largest township by population in Stokes County. Geographically, Yadkin Township occupies 83 square miles (210 km2) in southwestern Stokes County and is also the largest township by land area in Stokes County. The township's western border is with Surry County and the southern border is with Forsyth County. The incorporated municipality of King is located here as well as parts of the Forsyth County town of Tobaccoville. Additionally, Yadkin Township has many unincorporated communities, including, Chestnut Grove, Dalton, Mountain View, Mount Olive, Pinnacle, Poplar Springs and Volunteer.
