Slovak National Gallery

The Slovak National Archives (Slovak: Slovenský národný archív) were created in 1928. They are under the authority of the Minister of the Interior. They are located in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Esterházy Palace (Slovak: Esterházyho palác) is a Neo-Renaissance style building in the Old Town of Bratislava near the Danube riverfront, built in the 1870s. The building was reconstructed in the 1920s and in the 1950s, when it was adapted for the Slovak National Gallery. Today, with the adjacent Water Barracks and modern extensions, it hosts the Slovak National Gallery exhibitions.

Lanfranconi Palace or Lafranconi Palace is a neo-Renaissance representative bourgeois apartment house in Bratislava's Old Town, on the corner of Ludovita Štúr Square (number 1) and Vajanského nábreží. The building was built in 1876-1877 by Ignác Feigler on the site of the former salt office. The iron roof structure comes from the buildings of the Vienna World Exhibition.It was commissioned by Antonio Lanfranconi (or Antonio Lafranconi), but as it was built after his death, it was only used by his son Enea Grazioso Lanfranconi.Today, the palace houses the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic.

Ľudovít Štúr Square is a square in the Old Town district of Bratislava.It is named after Ľudovít Štúr (1815 – 1856), a Slovak national awakener. Until 1918 it had the German and Hungarian names Krönungs-hügel-Platz and Koronázási Domb-tér, meaning Coronation Hill Square. It is located near the Danube embankment, between Mostova Street, Rázus Embankment and Vajanského Embankment. Among the important buildings are the headquarters of the Slovak Philharmonic Reduta, Esterházy Palace and Dežőfi Palace.

Hviezdoslavovo námestie ('Hviezdoslav Square') is a town square in Bratislava. It is located in the Old Town, between the New Bridge and the Slovak National Theater. The square is named after Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav.

The Slovak Philharmonic or Slovak State Philharmonic (Slovenská filharmónia) is a Slovak symphony orchestra based in Bratislava. Founded in 1949, the orchestra has resided since the 1950s in the Baroque era Reduta Bratislava concert hall constructed in 1773. The current chief conductor of the orchestra is Daniel Raiskin, since the start of the 2020–2021 season.

The Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava (AFAD; Slovak: Vysoká škola výtvarných umení v Bratislave, VŠVU) is an academy in Bratislava, Slovakia. It was founded in 1949 at the dawn of totalitarian regime in the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. For next forty years, the institution was under the pressure of political doctrine promoting so called socialist realism in arts, as well as suffering the political purges affecting badly the whole society. In spite of troubled historical development and atmosphere of repression, at AFAD there were few spheres of so-called “positive deviation”. The resistance to the orthodoxy of socialist realism was made possible thanks to the intellectual and artistic background of some of the professors and their personal approach to their students. After years of totalitarianism, in 1989 the AFAD was one of the few higher education institutions in the country where the whole teaching staff was re-selected in an open competition. Since then many changes in educational profile and academic life of students and faculty had been taking place. As a result, today the AFAD is a present—day oriented school offering study in three levels (bachelor, master and doctoral) and five specific fields: Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, Restoration, and Theory and History of Arts.

The Academy of Fine Arts and Design (Slovene: Akademija za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje, also known by the acronym ALUO), is an art academy and institution based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is part of the University of Ljubljana. From 1945 to 1961, Božidar Jakac taught graphic arts at the academy, and also served as a dean three times. The current dean of the academy is Lucija Močnik Ramovš.

The Bratislava City Museum (Slovak: Múzeum mesta Bratislavy, abbr. MMB) is a museum in Bratislava, Slovakia, established in 1868. Its headquarters are located in the Old Town, near the Main Square at the Old Town Hall. The museum is owned by one of the 11 allowance organizations of the City of Bratislava.The museum documents the history of Bratislava from the earliest periods until the 20th century. The Bratislava City Museum is the oldest museum in continuous operation in Slovakia.

Johann Pálffy Palace (Slovak: Pálffyho palác or Pálfiho palác) is a late Classicism-style building in the Old Town, Bratislava, on the Panská street, near the Hviezdoslav Square. The palace is standing on the site of a former building, which was until the mid-1850s the seat of Pozsony county. After the seat moved elsewhere, it was rebuilt in late Classicist style by the Pálffy family, who were former hereditary chiefs of the Pozsony county.After its reconstruction in the 1980s, it currently houses three permanent exhibitions of the Bratislava City Gallery and temporary exhibitions.

The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Bratislava is the chief diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in Slovakia. The Embassy is located on Panská street in the Staré Mesto area of the city. The current British Ambassador to Slovakia is Nigel Baker.

Štadión Rapid is a multi-use stadium in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 3,000 people.
