Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge is a borough of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The borough was created on November 1, 2009, from the former borough of Sainte-Foy–Sillery and part of the former borough of Laurentien. Those boroughs in turn had been created on January 1, 2002; on that date, the former city of Cap-Rouge, a small part of the former city of Sainte-Foy, and other territory went into Laurentien, while the former city of Sillery and the rest of Sainte-Foy formed Sainte-Foy–Sillery.

Sainte-Foy is a former city in central Quebec, Canada alongside the Saint Lawrence River. It was amalgamated into Quebec City at the start of 2002. Most of the formerly independent municipality of Sainte-Foy is located in the borough (French: arrondissement) of Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge — initially as one of the two constituent districts of the former borough of Sainte-Foy–Sillery. On 1 November 2009, Sainte-Foy was subdivided into four separate districts: Cité-Universitaire, Plateau, Saint-Louis, Pointe-de-Sainte-Foy, when the borough of Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge was formed.Sainte-Foy is a major suburban neighbourhood west of downtown Quebec City. It plays a large part in Quebec City's economic life, with the Jean Lesage International Airport, Université Laval, multiple shopping malls, and both bridges to the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River.

CFOI-FM (104.1 MHz) is a Canadian FM radio station that broadcasts a Christian radio format in Quebec City, Quebec. Owned by Association d'Églises baptistes reformées du Québec (Baptist Reformed Church Association of Quebec), the station received CRTC approval on January 24, 2007.On November 18, 2009, CFOI-FM applied to change its frequency from 96.9 to 104.1 MHz, which received CRTC approval on February 19, 2010.On December 3, 2010, CFOI-FM applied to add a new FM broadcast relay station transmitter at 102.9 MHz in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, which received approval on January 21, 2011.

In Quebec City, the term promontory of Quebec refers to the area on which is built the upper part of the borough of La Cité-Limoilou, including Old Quebec (where the promontory is referred to as Cap Diamant). This area covers the eastern half of a larger plateau attested in French as colline or even plate-forme de Québec (Quebec hill). The western portion of this plateau is occupied by upper Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge (ie. most of this borough — whereas for La Cité-Limoilou, less than half of it is located uptown).

The Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City (French: Centre culturel Islamique de Québec, CCIQ; Arabic: المركز الثقافي الإسلامي بك‌بیك) is an organization dedicated to meeting the spiritual, social and economic needs of the Muslim community residing in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Its main place of worship is the Great Mosque of Quebec City (French: La Grande Mosquée de Québec).

The Great Mosque of Quebec City (French: Grande Mosquée de Québec) is a mosque located in the west-end Sainte-Foy neighbourhood of Quebec City, in Quebec, Canada. The mosque is administered by the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City (CCIQ).

The Quebec City mosque shooting (French: Attentat de la grande mosquée de Québec) was a terrorist attack by 27-year-old Alexandre Bissonnette on the evening of January 29, 2017, at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City, a mosque in the Sainte-Foy neighbourhood of Quebec City, Canada. Six worshippers were killed and five others seriously injured after evening prayers when Bissonnette entered the prayer hall shortly before 8:00 pm and opened fire for about two minutes with a 9mm Glock pistol. Approximately 40 people were reported present at the time of the shooting. The perpetrator, 27-year-old Alexandre Bissonnette, pleaded guilty to six counts of first-degree murder and six counts of attempted murder. On February 8, 2019, Bissonnette was sentenced to life in prison, with no possibility of parole for 40 years. Upon appeal, the Court of Appeal of Quebec found 40 years without parole to be unconstitutionally cruel and unusual punishment, adjusting the sentence to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 25 years. Quebec prosecutors sought to reinstate the original sentence with an appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. The decision was upheld on May 27, 2022, meaning Bissonnette will be eligible for parole in 2042.The shooting prompted widespread discussion of Islamophobia, racism, and right-wing terrorism in Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Philippe Couillard called the shooting a terrorist attack, but Bissonnette was not charged or sentenced under the terrorism provision of the Criminal Code or described as such by terrorism experts. On the fourth anniversary of the attack, the Trudeau government announced plans to commemorate the day of the attack as The National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec Mosque Attack and of Action Against Islamophobia.

Le Phare de Québec (English: The Quebec Lighthouse) was an approved project located on Laurier boulevard in the former city of Sainte-Foy within the borough of Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The complex had 4 towers: Tour 1 at 250 metres and 65 floors, Tour 2 at 180 metres and 50 floors, Tour 3 at 110 metres and 30 floors, and Tour 4 at 60 metres and 17 floors. Tour 1 would have been the tallest building in Quebec and the tallest building in Canada east of Toronto. The 25,083 square-metre site sits on the former location of Hotel Governors, which was demolished in 2013. The total floor area of the complex was more than 186,000 square metres, consisting primarily of office, commercial, residential, and hotel space. The complex featured a 750-seat multimedia concert hall.The construction of the complex has been controversial for the city's residents. Concerns include aesthetics, increased local wind speeds, and unfair competition with buildings in neighbouring boroughs due to the building's large floor space.

Louis-Hébert is a provincial electoral district in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. It consists of part of the Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge borough of Quebec City (specifically the neighbourhoods of Cap-Rouge, Champigny, Jouvence, Quartier Laurentien, Lorette, Les Grands-Déserts and parts of Pointe-de-Sainte-Foy and Place-Notre-Dame), as well as all of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of Québec-Comté and Québec-Ouest and a small part of Portneuf electoral districts. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures from La Peltrie; it also gained part of Quebec City from La Peltrie, but lost part of the city to Jean-Talon. The riding was named after the first legal farmer of New France, Louis Hébert.

Sainte-Foy station is a Via Rail station in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. it is located on Chemin de la Gare in the former city of Sainte-Foy. It is staffed and is wheelchair-accessible. The stations offers limited parking with three accessible spots. It opened in 1976 as the Canadian National Railway's passenger station in the Quebec City region after downtown's Gare du Palais was closed. Canadian Pacific Railway passengers used a station in Cadorna. When Via Rail took over most passenger service in 1979, Sainte-Foy was the sole intercity rail station in the Quebec City area from 1979 to 1985, when Gare du Palais reopened. It is served by Corridor trains coming to and from Ottawa, and is also the Quebec City area stop for The Ocean/L'Océan, Via's long-distance train to Atlantic Canada.

Laurier Québec (formerly called and still commonly referred to as Place Laurier) is one of Canada's largest shopping malls. It is located in Quebec City, Quebec (in what was formerly the city of Sainte-Foy). Though Galeries de la Capitale is the biggest mall in the city in terms of area, Laurier Quebec remains the largest by number of tenants. It has approximately 300 stores and restaurants and is built on three levels with underground, multilevel, and outdoor parking. Major tenants include La Baie d'Hudson, Best Buy, Toys "R" Us, Marshalls and Walmart. Other tenants include jewellery, gift, shoe, book, eyeware, music, toy, electronics, clothing, hardware, and pet stores as well as hair and beauty salons. Four of the original 50 tenants from 1961 are still in the mall: Reitmans, the Laurier Comneuf cordwainer shop, the Doucet jewellery store, and the Laurier dry-cleaner. The mall was noteworthy for having two Zellers stores at the same time in the 1990s and two Dominion supermarkets in the 1960s.
