Haig Park is a park in the suburbs of Braddon and Turner in Canberra, Australia. It lies on either side of Northbourne Avenue. The park is named to honour Earl Haig, the Commander-in-Chief of the British Expeditionary Forces during the First World War, spans the distance between Mount Ainslie and Black Mountain. The park comprises fourteen rows of trees planted to form a windbreak and shelterbelt. The majority of planting was in 1921, when Canberra's first Superintendent, Parks and Gardens, Charles Weston, planted over 7000 trees, predominantly exotic.According to the ACT Territory and Municipal Services Directorate, the park was designated a public park in 1987 and it has been classified by the National Trust. The park is also listed on the ACT Heritage register.In 2012 the ACT Government prepared a master plan for Haig Park.

Australian National University Football Club (more commonly known as ANU FC) is an Australian amateur association football club representing the Australian National University based in Acton, Australian Capital Territory. Founded in 1962, the club is inclusive of both current and graduated students and currently competes in the ACT National Premier Leagues 2.

Toad Hall is a residential hall for the Australian National University, primarily for post-graduate students drawn from some 50 countries across the globe.It is located at the corner of Barry Drive and Kingsley Street, Acton. Sullivans Creek and the Drill Hall Gallery are nearby.The Toad Hall residence was designed by internationally acclaimed Australian architect John Andrews in the early 1970s, with construction starting in 1973 and opening to its first residents in April 1974. It was considered quite a 'revolutionary' design in student residences at that time and is listed on the ACT Chapter of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Register of Significant Twentieth Century Architecture and on the Commonwealth Heritage List.The University Council allowed the hall of residence to be named Toad Hall following the recommendation of the first residents of the hall where the setting, with the long line of willow trees between the hall and Sullivans Creek, was evocative of Kenneth Grahame's children's novel, The Wind in the Willows. It is the only residence on campus named by its first residents.

Elouera Street is a light rail station in Australia on the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line, located at the intersection of Northbourne Avenue, Elouera Street and Gould Street. It is one of two stations serving the suburbs of Turner and Braddon. Bicycle racks are provided for commuters adjacent to the station. The station is close to Lonsdale Street, a popular dining and nightlife strip. Many businesses in this area were heavily impacted by road closures and delays during the construction phase, with a number of public car parks being lost to make way for light rail infrastructure contributing to prolonged accessibility issues.

It is one of two stations serving the suburbs of Turner and Braddon and sits outside a large student accommodation complex (formerly Fenner Hall, historically linked to the Australian National University). Bicycle racks are provided for commuters adjacent to the station.

Canberra Olympic FC is an Australian semi-professional Association football club based in the suburb of O'Connor in the north of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The club was founded in 1956, and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football.

Comcare is a statutory authority of the Australian Federal Government established under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) and covered by the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act). The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is an agency of the Australian Government tasked with improving the accessibility and availability of government services online by helping government "transform services to be simple, clear and fast." Succeeding the Digital Transformation Office, the DTA was established on 14 October 2016.The agency has the stated goal of overseeing the "Digital Transformation Strategy" for the Australian Government to become "one of the leading digital governments in the world by 2025". Generally the agency oversees various interdepartmental government projects and provides consultancy and products to other official bodies.

Bentspoke Brewing Co is a Canberra-based brewing company initially founded as a Brewpub in 2014 by brewers Richard Watkins and Tracy Margrain. Bentspoke now supports both a Brewpub in the central Canberra suburb of Braddon, and a commercial brewing and canning facility in the Canberra light-industrial estate of Mitchell. Bentspoke's commercially available canned beers sport a bike theme (as does the company's name).Bentspoke have historically performed well in the yearly Australian GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers of the Year awards, with their Crankshaft IPA taking out the top spot in both 2021 and 2022. They were also the only Australian brewery to secure a champion's trophy at the 2019 International Brewing Awards.In 2019 Bentspoke partnered with the Canberra Innovation Network to brew The Innovator, a sustainable beer incorporating wild yeast, pear juice and dried edible insects (crickets and black soldier fly larvae) "aiming to highlight innovation and test the possibilities of brewing using local and environmentally friendly ingredients".

Capital Brewing Company (also known as Capital Brewing Co.) is a Canberra-based brewery. It was founded in 2016 by brewers Tom Hertel and Laurence Kain, and has a brewpub in the Canberra suburb of Fyshwick.The company is one of the largest craft breweries in Australia. It is also the beer sponsor of the Greater Western Sydney Giants, which represent the Australian Capital Territory in the Australian Football League.

Canberra University College was a tertiary education institution established in Canberra by the Australian government and the University of Melbourne in 1930. At first it operated in the Telopea Park School premises after hours. Most of the initial students were public servants and all were part-timers. After WWII funding for the college was increased significantly.The college operated until 1960 when it was incorporated into the Australian National University as the School of General Studies. Over the course of its operation it had two directors, Sir Robert Garran from 1930 to 1953 and Bertram Thomas Dickson from 1954 to 1960. It was staffed by many notable academics including economist Heinz Wolfgang Arndt, philosopher Kurt Baier, poet Leslie Allen, historian Manning Clark and botanist Lindsay Pryor.

The Australian National Dictionary Centre (ANDC) at the Australian National University in Canberra is a major centre for lexicographical research in Australia. It is jointly funded by the Australian National University and Oxford University Press Australia and New Zealand. The Centre conducts research into Australian English and provides Oxford University Press with editorial expertise for its Australian dictionaries.
