Lakes Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. Opened in 1972, the shopping center initially featured Jefferson Ward and Britt's discount stores, and later included the first locations for the retail chains Office Depot and Sports Authority. The complex was torn down in 1995 and redeveloped as a strip mall.

Boyd H. Anderson High School (also called "Boyd Anderson", or "B.A."), is a suburban public high school located in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. It is a part of Broward County Public Schools. Boyd H. Anderson serves: all of Lauderdale Lakes, and parts of Tamarac, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale and Lauderhill.The school is named after the third County Judge of Broward County, Boyd H. Anderson, Sr., who served from 1933 to 1968.The school mascot is the cobra and the school colors are orange and black.

WWNN (1470 kHz) is a radio station licensed to Pompano Beach, Florida, United States, and serving Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The station is owned by Shekinah Radio International, LLC, and known as Radio Shekinah International. By day, WWNN is powered at 30,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna with a four-tower array to avoid interfering with stations in the Miami area on 1450 and 1490 kHz. At night, to further reduce interference to other stations, the power is reduced to 2,500 watts. The transmitter is on NW 44th Street, near Florida's Turnpike, in Tamarac. The 1470 frequency has had a varied history, being built in 1959 as WPOM by Gold Coast Broadcasters. It changed its call sign to WRBD in 1963 and oriented itself toward the Black community in Broward County and was the market's first Black-owned station. Citing low ratings and competition from FM outlets, its owners sold it in 1997 to Howard Goldsmith. Goldsmith moved the "Winners News Network" format of health talk and personal motivation programming from the previous WWNN at 980 kHz. Beasley Broadcast Group retained the format when it acquired the station in 2000; in 2019, when two of its sister stations were sold, WWNN took on the financial talk programming previously heard on WSBR (740 AM). Beasley sold WWNN in 2022, marking the first of five sales in two years; in one transaction, the station's two associated FM translators were separated. Shekinah Radio acquired WWNN in 2023.

The University of Fort Lauderdale (UFTL) is a private non-denominational Christian university in Lauderhill, Florida. Founded in 1995, the school offers associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees and has a mission statement of being a "premier Christian institution of higher learning empowering future leaders through higher educational degrees rooted in Biblical principles". UFTL co-founder Henry B. Fernandez leads the school as chancellor and CEO.

Lauderhill 6–12 STEM-MED is a magnet school in Lauderhill, Florida that serves the sixth and twelfth grades. It is a part of Broward County Public Schools. The high school portion is the first to open in the city of Lauderhill.It mostly serves Lauderhill, but also accepts a small portion of Lauderdale Lakes. While the high school is not automatically zoned, people in Lauderhill have priority for admission to the high school.Lauderhill 6–12 STEM-MED typically accepts graduates of feeders schools: Castle Hill Elementary, Endeavour Primary Learning Center, Lauderhill Paul Turner Elementary, Plantation Elementary School, and Royal Palm Elementary.

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, formerly Central Broward Regional Park and Central Broward Stadium, is a large county park in Lauderhill, Florida, and the only cricket stadium in the United States. It is owned and operated by Broward County. It opened on November 9, 2007, at a construction cost of $70 million. It is located at the corner of US 441 and State Road 838 (Sunrise Blvd.). The stadium was the first U.S. cricket pitch to receive certification by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to host international matches; it hosted its first international Twenty20 series in 2010, featuring New Zealand and Sri Lanka. In September 2019, the stadium hosted the United States' first-ever One Day International (ODI) series, which included the United States' first ODI victory.

The Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop is a 14-screen drive-in theater in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that doubles as the largest drive-in and largest daily flea market in the world. Local broadcast advertising states it to be Florida's second-biggest tourist attraction and the largest tourist attraction in the South Florida metropolitan area. From 1989–2006 the Hanneford Family Circus performed daily (except Tuesdays) in the Swap Shop food court, entertaining the roughly 12 million people who visit each year.
