The Mill River is a 16.3-mile (26.2 km) river in the town of Fairfield, Connecticut. It flows into Long Island Sound at Southport harbor.Dams on the Mill River form the Easton, Hemlock, and Samp Mortar Lake Reservoirs and control downstream flow.

The David Ogden House is a historic house at 1520 Bronson Road in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was built in 1750 as an integral saltbox. The house is an exceptional survivor of a typical mid 18th century Connecticut farmhouse. There is a massive central field stone chimney topped with brick. The house, which escaped the burning of Fairfield by the British forces that invaded during the American Revolution, provides a glimpse into the life of a typical family. The house was called the new house in a 1750 deed. It is believed that the house was built for David Ogden at the time of his marriage to Jane Sturges. For the next 125 years it was home for the Ogden family in this farming and coastal shipping town. The house fell into disrepair and was donated to the Fairfield Historical Society. Presently, the house serves as a museum for the Fairfield Historical Society, which also operates the Fairfield Museum and History Center. At one time the Ogden House was owned by art and antiques dealer Mary Allis, who turned it into a showcase for eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century American folk paintings and furniture.

Alumni Baseball Diamond is a baseball stadium in Fairfield, Connecticut. It opened in 1951 and is currently the home field of the Fairfield Stags baseball team representing Fairfield University.Former Major League Baseball player Keefe Cato of the Cincinnati Reds pitched on Alumni Baseball Diamond for the Fairfield Stags from 1976 to 1979 where he set 11 all-time program records. Alumni Baseball Diamond also was the home field of the Fairfield Stallions of the New England Collegiate Baseball League during the inaugural 1994 NECBL season. Major League Baseball player Joe Nathan of the Minnesota Twins pitched on Alumni Baseball Diamond for the Fairfield Stallions in 1994. The field dimensions are 330 feet down the lines, 400 feet to center field and 370 feet in the power alleys. The facility includes batting cages and bullpens for both teams.

The Greenfield Hill Historic District encompasses the historic village area of the village of Greenfield Hill in northern Fairfield, Connecticut. The area was important from the mid-18th to 19th centuries as an intellectual center in the town, driven in part by Timothy Dwight, the Greenfield Hill Church minister and later president of Yale College. The district features a variety of architectural styles from the 18th to mid-19th century. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Rafferty Stadium is a 3,500-seat lacrosse stadium on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. It is home to the Fairfield Stags men's and women's lacrosse teams. The facility opened officially on February 2, 2015. The stadium is named in recognition of the principal leadership gift from university alumnus Larry Rafferty. The field of the stadium in named Conway Field in acknowledgment of a gift from Tim Conway, another alumnus.

Lessing Field is a multi-purpose lacrosse and soccer stadium on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. It is home to the Fairfield Stags men's and women's lacrosse and soccer teams. Previously named Varsity Field it was renovated in 2002 including the installation of high-durability sod, a new irrigation and drainage systems, new lights for night games and new stands with capacity for 600 fans. Lessing Field is named in honor of Stephen Lessing '76, a former member of the Fairfield Stags men's tennis team and current member of the Fairfield University Board of Trustees whose generosity allowed for the stadium renovations.

Greenfield Hill is an affluent historic neighborhood in Fairfield, Connecticut roughly bounded by Easton to the North, southern Burr Street/northern Black Rock Turnpike to the East, and Southport and Westport to the South and West respectively. The core of the neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as the Greenfield Hill Historic District. Locally, Greenfield Hill is known for its Dogwood Festival, which celebrates a variety of tree that abounds in the neighborhood. The most famous and perhaps the most picturesque landmark is the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, which presides over a classic New England green. Timothy Dwight IV, best known as a president of Yale University (and the namesake of one of its residential colleges) was pastor of Greenfield Hill Congregational Church for many years. According to local lore, he was hired by Yale to thwart plans for a rival educational institution in Fairfield.Besides Dwight, famous residents of Greenfield Hill have included Robert Penn Warren, the author of All the King's Men, composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein and John Hershey, the author of "A Bell for Adano". Several officers of the AIG Financial Products unit live in Greenfield Hill and their homes were scenes of protest at the time of a scandal concerning the payment of $165 million in bonuses to employees of that unit.With Fairfield's zoning ordinance regulating these properties to at least one acre in size, plus large overhanging trees and the historic Greenfield Hill Green, it is admired by many as a pleasant rural alternative to Connecticut's dense suburban design. Along with Sasco Hill and historic Southport, Greenfield Hill is considered one of the wealthiest areas in Fairfield, as well as Connecticut as a whole.[1]

The Bronson Windmill is an historic windmill at 3015 Bronson Road in Fairfield, Connecticut. Built in 1893-94, it is the only surviving windmill in the town, ouf a number that once dotted the landscape. It was built for Frederic Bronson, owner of the local estate. The mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The former Norwalk City Hall, located in South Norwalk was built in 1912. The building has since been added, on March 23, 1995, to the National Register of Historic Places. Norwalk's city hall is now located at 125 East Avenue. After Norwalk's City Hall relocated, the first and second floors of the structure became Norwalk Historical Society Museum, which was operated by the city. As a museum, the building contained archival materials and other items related to Norwalk's culture and history, including documents, items of significance to the history of Norwalk and artwork. In May 2012, the city removed funding for operation of the museum as well for the cost of renting the building, no longer owned by the city, despite the several thousand visitors annually.

Fairfield University is a private Jesuit university in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1942. In 2017, the university had about 4,100 full-time undergraduate students and 1,100 graduate students, including full-time and part-time students. The school offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees through its five schools and colleges: the Fairfield University College of Arts and Sciences, the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, the School of Engineering, the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions.
