The former Norwalk City Hall, located in South Norwalk was built in 1912. The building has since been added, on March 23, 1995, to the National Register of Historic Places. Norwalk's city hall is now located at 125 East Avenue. After Norwalk's City Hall relocated, the first and second floors of the structure became Norwalk Historical Society Museum, which was operated by the city. As a museum, the building contained archival materials and other items related to Norwalk's culture and history, including documents, items of significance to the history of Norwalk and artwork. In May 2012, the city removed funding for operation of the museum as well for the cost of renting the building, no longer owned by the city, despite the several thousand visitors annually.

Fairfield University is a private Jesuit university in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1942. In 2017, the university had about 4,100 full-time undergraduate students and 1,100 graduate students, including full-time and part-time students. The school offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees through its five schools and colleges: the Fairfield University College of Arts and Sciences, the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, the School of Engineering, the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions.

Alumni Baseball Diamond is a baseball stadium in Fairfield, Connecticut. It opened in 1951 and is currently the home field of the Fairfield Stags baseball team representing Fairfield University.Former Major League Baseball player Keefe Cato of the Cincinnati Reds pitched on Alumni Baseball Diamond for the Fairfield Stags from 1976 to 1979 where he set 11 all-time program records. Alumni Baseball Diamond also was the home field of the Fairfield Stallions of the New England Collegiate Baseball League during the inaugural 1994 NECBL season. Major League Baseball player Joe Nathan of the Minnesota Twins pitched on Alumni Baseball Diamond for the Fairfield Stallions in 1994. The field dimensions are 330 feet down the lines, 400 feet to center field and 370 feet in the power alleys. The facility includes batting cages and bullpens for both teams.

Rafferty Stadium is a 3,500-seat lacrosse stadium on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. It is home to the Fairfield Stags men's and women's lacrosse teams. The facility opened officially on February 2, 2015. The stadium is named in recognition of the principal leadership gift from university alumnus Larry Rafferty. The field of the stadium in named Conway Field in acknowledgment of a gift from Tim Conway, another alumnus.

Alumni Hall is a 2,479-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Fairfield University, located in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was home to the Fairfield Stags men's and women's basketball teams from its construction in 1959 until 2002, when the teams began playing home games at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Sports Illustrated reported that Alumni Hall was home to the most vocal and loyal basketball fans in the Northeast.Alumni Hall is now home to the Fairfield Stags women's volleyball team and the Fairfield Prep Jesuits basketball teams, but it hosted two Stags men's and women's basketball games during the 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons.

Leo D. Mahoney Arena is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Fairfield University, located in Fairfield, Connecticut. It is home to the Fairfield Stags men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball teams. The 85,000 square foot building was opened in November 2022 on the site of Fairfield's former on campus arena, Alumni Hall. With the opening of Mahoney Arena, the men's Stags basketball team played all its home games on campus for the first time in 2022-23 since the 1999-2000 season, instead of the larger Total Mortgage Arena in nearby Bridgeport. In addition to sporting events, the arena will also host other campus events such as concerts and graduations.The arena's $51 million construction was fully funded by donors and is named after former university trustee Leo Mahoney, whose three children attended Fairfield. The Mahoney family's donation marked the largest in school history. The playing court is named after former basketball coach and university athletic director George Bisacca, which was carried over from Alumni Hall.

St. Pius X is a Roman Catholic church in Fairfield, Connecticut in the Diocese of Bridgeport. The present Colonial-style church was designed by J. Gerald Phelan.

WVOF (88.5 FM) is a radio station licensed to Fairfield, Connecticut, United States. The station is owned by Fairfield University. As of August 2008, the station has been a partner with Connecticut Public Radio and carries Connecticut Public Radio and NPR programming.

Fairfield College Preparatory School (Fairfield Prep) is a Jesuit preparatory school located on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. It is an all-male school of about 700 students, founded by the Society of Jesus in 1942.

The Fairfield University Art Museum, formerly the Bellarmine Museum of Art, is an art museum located on the renovated lower level of Bellarmine Hall on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. The museum features Classical, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Celtic and Asian art and artifacts in three distinct galleries totaling 2,700 square feet (250 m2) of space. The museum hosts 2-3 special exhibitions each year in the Bellarmine Hall Galleries. The museum also includes the Walsh Gallery, in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Performing Arts, with 1800 square feet of exhibition space. The Walsh Gallery hosts 2-3 special exhibitions annually. CollegeRank.net ranks it the 37th Most Amazing College Museum in the United States noting that "with an incredibly rich and broad collection of paintings, sculpture, and plaster casts, the Bellarmine Museum of Art is a must-see for art enthusiasts."

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts is the major center of theatre and the arts at Fairfield University located in Fairfield, Connecticut. The Center includes events such as popular and classical music, dance, theatre, and programs for young audiences. Westport Magazine recognized the Quick Center as the "cultural epicenter of Fairfield County."The Quick Center was constructed and dedicated in 1990 with the generous support and leadership of Fairfield University benefactor, Leslie C. Quick Jr. and was named for his beloved wife, Regina. Mr. Quick was a member of the Fairfield University Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Board from 1982 through 1995 and received an Honorary Doctorate from the University in 1999.

The Mill River is a 16.3-mile (26.2 km) river in the town of Fairfield, Connecticut. It flows into Long Island Sound at Southport harbor.Dams on the Mill River form the Easton, Hemlock, and Samp Mortar Lake Reservoirs and control downstream flow.
