John A. Rowland High School is a public, four-year high school and International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in the city of Rowland Heights, California, United States. It is one of the two high schools in the Rowland Unified School District. It is located directly across from one of the district's elementary schools, Killian Elementary School. Rowland High School received a six-year WASC accreditation in 2007 as well as being named a California Distinguished School in 1996 and 2004, and a National Blue Ribbon School in 1998. Rowland High School was named a Gold Ribbon School in 2017.

Oxford School is a private middle and high school in Rowland Heights, California. It serves grades 6–12. As of 2017 Scott Adams is the principal. The school was founded in 1980 and has been at its current location since 1997. The school, located behind a strip mall, consists of multiple portable classrooms and a grass field with a soccer goal, basketball courts, and a badminton or volleyball net.

Rancho Rincón de la Brea (also called Rancho Cañada de la Brea) was a 4,452-acre (18.02 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Los Angeles County, California given in 1841 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Gil Maria Ybarra. The name means "Tar Gully Ranch" in Spanish. The one square league grant extended southward from San Jose Creek into the hills of Brea Canyon. Known as "Rancho la Canada de la Brea" when application for the grant was originally made in 1841, it was subsequently referred to as "Rancho Rincon de la Brea" and "Rancho de los Ybarras". The rancho was situated in present day unincorporated Los Angeles County: east of Rowland Heights, south of La Puente, west of Diamond Bar, and north of Brea.

Puente Hills Mall, located in City of Industry, California, United States, is a major regional shopping center in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County. It is most famous for serving as the filming site for the Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall for the 1985 movie Back to the Future starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Anchor tenants are Burlington, Round 1 Entertainment, and Ross Dress For Less.

KGBN (1190 kHz) is a Korean Christian brokered time AM radio station licensed to Anaheim, California. It serves Orange County and Greater Los Angeles. Rev. Young Sun Lee serves as the president of the Korean Gospel Broadcasting Network, which owns the station. KGBN is one of four radio stations in the Los Angeles area that broadcast entirely in Korean. The others are 1230 KYPA, 1540 KMPC and 1650 KFOX in Torrance, although they have mostly secular formats. KGBN broadcasts with 20,000 watts by day. But to protect other stations from interference on AM 1190, power is reduced at night to 1,300 watts. It uses a directional antenna at all times. The transmitter is near the Orange Freeway (California State Route 57) in Brea, California.

The Industry Hills Aquatic Club (IHAC) was a prominent USA Swimming club located in the City of Industry, California, from 1979 until August 2005. For almost three decades, the Club was a successful training ground for a considerable number of athletes, some achieving success at the highest levels of the sport, both nationally and internationally, such as the olympic games. In addition to swimming, the organization included water polo and diving teams composed of athletes achieving similar success. The Aquatic Center's pools also served the community as a popular venue for high school swim meets, youth swim lessons, and U.S. Masters Swimming. The organization ceased to exist in 2005 when the City of Industry decided to demolish the Industry Hills Aquatics Center. The pool was demolished four years later, in March 2009.

Brea Olinda High School is a 9th–12th grade public high school located in Brea, California. Established in 1927, the school was originally located across the street from the Brea Mall. In 1989, the school moved to its current location on the northern hills of Brea. Brea Olinda High School is a part of the Brea Olinda Unified School District.

Industry station is a Metrolink train station located at 600 South Brea Canyon Road in Industry, California. Metrolink's Riverside Line trains between Los Angeles Union Station and Riverside–Downtown station stop here. It is owned and operated by the City of Industry. Industry station is served by 11 Metrolink Riverside Line trains (6 westbound and 5 eastbound) each weekday, running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. There is no service on weekends.In 2011, the Industry station had the highest ridership on the Riverside line, averaging 1,378 daily boardings, representing 34.5% of all boardings for the Riverside line.

Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms (commonly referred to as Industry Hills), is a golf club located in the City of Industry, California. It is made up of two 18-hole courses known as The Ike and The Babe. It is the location of PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tour qualifiers and hosted the 2011 Kia Classic.
