Industry Hills Aquatic Club

Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms (commonly referred to as Industry Hills), is a golf club located in the City of Industry, California. It is made up of two 18-hole courses known as The Ike and The Babe. It is the location of PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tour qualifiers and hosted the 2011 Kia Classic.

The Olympia Gold Classic was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, held in southern California in Los Angeles County from 1978 to 1982. It was played in late winter at the Rancho Park Golf Course in the city of Los Angeles from 1978 to 1980 as the "Sunstar Classic," then moved east to Industry Hills Golf Club in City of Industry in 1981 and 1982, in a renamed event sponsored by Olympia Brewing Company.

The multi-purpose arena seats over 5,000 spectators and was home to the Los Angeles Lynx of the National Indoor Football League. Built in 1981, the venue has other smaller buildings along with outdoor horse arenas.The venue is one of the top venues for motorcycle speedway in the United States.

It is most famous for serving as the filming site for the Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall for the 1985 movie Back to the Future starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Anchor tenants are Burlington, Round 1 Entertainment, and Ross Dress For Less.

Awigna (also, Awiz-na) is a former Tongva-Gabrieleño Native American settlement located at the site of modern-day La Puente High School, in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, California.The settlement was one of twenty seven villages included in the records of Mission San Gabriel, indicating that villagers from Awigna were baptized there after its establishment in the Los Angeles Basin in 1776. Awigna was described as "one of the principal rancherias to supply it [the mission] with neophytes."In 1915, La Puente High School was built on the village site. During the construction process, many artifacts from the village were unearthed and were reportedly put on display at the school for many years. In 2004, it was reported that the whereabouts of these artifacts were unknown.

Glen A. Wilson High School is a public high school located in Hacienda Heights, California. It is one of two high schools located in the unincorporated community, and one of four in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. Wilson was ranked 333 out of 804 in Newsweek's 2003 web-exclusive extended list of top U.S. public high schools. It ranked 861 in the 2007 list of the top 1,000 U.S. public schools. Wilson was ranked 121 out of 500 in Newsweek's America's Best High Schools in 2011.
