The London Sketch Club is a private members club for artists working in the field of commercial graphic art, mainly for newspapers, periodicals, and books.

The National Army Museum is the British Army's central museum. It is located in the Chelsea district of central London, adjacent to the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of the "Chelsea Pensioners". The museum is a non-departmental public body. It is usually open to the public from 10:00 to 17:30, except on 25–26 December and 1 January. Admission is free. Its remit for the overall history of British land forces contrasts with those of other military museums in the United Kingdom concentrating on the history of individual corps and regiments of the British Army. It also differs from the subject matter of the Imperial War Museum, another national museum in London, which has a wider remit of theme (war experiences of British civilians and military personnel from all three services) but a narrower remit of time (after 1914).

Crimean Tom (also known as Tom or Sevastopol Tom) was a cat noted for his association with the British Army during the Crimean War. Found by Lieutenant William Gair in Sevastopol after a year-long siege, he is said to have led British forces to valuable caches of hidden supplies that helped ease starvation among the troops. Gair brought Tom back to England after the war but the cat died soon afterwards. He was stuffed and presented to the Royal United Services Institute. A stuffed cat bought in a flea market in the 1950s is in the collection of the National Army Museum and is sometimes described as being Tom, but there is no proof it is the same cat.

Maze Grill Royal Hospital Road (stylised as maze Grill Royal Hospital Road and formerly Foxtrot Oscar) is a restaurant in Chelsea, London, England owned by celebrity chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay.

Gordon House is a large 19th-century detached house in Chelsea, London, SW3. The house is sited in two acres of the south west corner of the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. It was designed by Thomas Leverton for Colonel James Willoughby Gordon. The house became part of the Royal Hospital following Gordon's death in 1851, and has recently been converted into a private residence.

Royal Hospital Road is a street in Chelsea, London, England. It runs between Chelsea Embankment on the north bank of the River Thames to the southwest and a junction with Lower Sloane Street, Pimlico Road and Chelsea Bridge Road to the northeast. Also adjacent are Tite Street to the south and Flood Street to the north. The road is designated the B302. The closest tube station is Sloane Square to the north along Lower Sloane Street. To the southwest of Royal Hospital Road is the Royal Hospital Chelsea, hence the name. The National Army Museum is located next to the Royal Hospital Chelsea. To the south is the Chelsea Physic Garden. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is at 68 Royal Hospital Road, formerly the site of another Michelin 3-starred restaurant, La Tante Claire.

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, also known as Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road, is the signature restaurant owned and operated by Gordon Ramsay, located at Royal Hospital Road, in Chelsea, London. It opened in 1998 and was Ramsay's first solo restaurant. In 2001 it was awarded three Michelin stars, and in 2022 Ramsay celebrated 21 years with all three. In March 2013, the restaurant reopened following an art deco redesign.

La Tante Claire (The Aunt Claire) was a restaurant in Chelsea, London, which opened in 1977 and 1998. Owned and operated by Pierre Koffmann, it gained three Michelin stars in 1983, and held all three until the restaurant moved premises in 1998. It was sold to Gordon Ramsay for his flagship restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

Chelsea Embankment is part of the Thames Embankment, a road and walkway along the north bank of the River Thames in central London, England. The western end of Chelsea Embankment, including a stretch of Cheyne Walk, is in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea; the eastern end, including Grosvenor Road and Millbank, is in the City of Westminster. Beneath the road lies the main low-level interceptor sewer taking waste water from west London eastwards towards Beckton. Chelsea Bridge and Albert Bridge are to the south. Royal Hospital Chelsea is to the north. Sloane Square is the closest tube station, located to the north.

The 1928 Thames flood was a disastrous flood of the River Thames that affected much of riverside London on 7 January 1928, as well as places further downriver. Fourteen people died and thousands were made homeless when floodwaters poured over the top of the Thames Embankment and part of the Chelsea Embankment collapsed. It was the last major flood to affect central London, and, along with the disastrous North Sea flood of 1953, helped lead to the implementation of new flood control measures that culminated in the construction of the Thames Barrier in the 1970s.

Durham Place is a row of terraced houses in Chelsea in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It was built in 1790 by a Mr. Richardson who was the steward to the Lord of the Manor. It faces the open space of Burton's Court. Richardson lived at the adjoining house to the north of Durham Place, which he named the Manor House.The author Bram Stoker moved to a small flat at 4 Durham Place in 1907.The average value of a property in Durham Place was estimated at £6.1 million in 2020.Two houses in the middle of Durham Place collapsed shortly before midnight on 2 November 2020. The houses were being redeveloped at the time. Emergency services were called at 23:35 GMT and local residents were evacuated and a cordon was put in place. Nobody was reported to be in the building and no casualties were reported according to London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police. The Health and Safety Executive are investigating the collapse of the buildings.

The Royal Military Exhibition was held in 1890 at Gordon House, Chelsea and the grounds of the Royal Hospital to display the work of soldiers of all ranks in the British Army, Royal Marines and Auxiliary Forces. Profit from the exhibition was to support the Church of England Soldier's Institutes located on Army bases.The exhibition was opened on 7 May 1890 by the Prince of Wales and featured three themes, the industrial work of the soldier, articles of equipment, collection of pictures and other objects of military interest. The exhibition also had tournament displays of military bands, tug-of-war and demonstration ascents of war balloons. The musical division was co-ordinated by Colonel Thomas Bradney Shaw-Hellier, commandant of the Royal Military School of Music. Over the five-month exhibition, 74 military bands came from all over the country to perform beside the River Thames in central London. A large collection of musical instruments, particularly wind instruments, was displayed, and a catalogue was issued the following year.The exhibition closed on 1 November 1890 with a firework display, it was announced that £10,000 had been handed over to the Church of England Soldier's Institute.
