Sollana is a municipality in the comarca of Ribera Baixa in the Valencian Community, Spain. The municipality includes a second village: El Romaní. Situated on the floodplain of the Júcar River, the Sollana region is where rice was first grown in Spain 1,200 years ago, and is also the heartland of the famous Spanish dish paella. The economy of the area is still based mainly on agriculture: rice, oranges and livestock. In the early Middle Ages, Sollana was a small Visigothic settlement. Later, records from the al-Andalus period name it Sulyanah, chief village of a region including the hamlets of Romaní, Alcahecia and Trullás. After the Reconquista in the thirteenth century, James I of Aragon gave it to his vassal Ximén d'Urrea, and it eventually ended up part of the Dukedom of Híjar. In January 1932, during the Second Spanish Republic, anarchists briefly declared a Soviet Republic of Sollana.The patron saint of Sollana is Mary Magdalene. She is celebrated annually in the summer festivities, which begin on her feast day, July 22, and continue through August 14, when the city council throws a "night of the paellas" in the city centre, and end in late August with a traditional bullring.

Silla (Valencian: ['siʎa]) is a municipality in the comarca of Horta Sud in the Valencian Community, Spain. According to the 2014 census, The municipality has a population of 18,644 inhabitants. The town has six casales falleros, for the different Fallas. Silla has different cultural associations. Because of the great immigration of Andalusian people in the 1960s, Silla has got a Casa de Andalucia. In Silla there is a very important local theater school. Founded in 1985, it is one of the first drama schools in the area.

Picassent (Valencian pronunciation: [pikaˈsent]) is a municipality in the comarca of Horta Sud in the Valencian Community, Spain. Picassent is a town of close to twenty thousand people. Originally the town's main economic activity was agriculture, however during the last twenty years Picassent developed two industrial areas adjacent to the city centre. The excellent communications and its distance to the main City of Valencia have converted Picassent in an ideal and cheaper location for the city workers that commute every day. In the surrounding countryside, one of the largest of the county (comarca), the locals grow orange trees. The municipality is composed by several neighbourhoods, some more formal than others. Traditionally these neighbourhoods were attached to the three Churches sited next to three main town squares: "San Cristobal" next to the townhall square, "Milagrosa" next to the Market square and "l´hermita de la Vallivana" next to "l'hermita" square. The town celebrates two main festivals a year, one on 10 July in honour of "San Cristobal" and another on 8 September in honour to "Virgen de la Vallivana". During the July festival there is a week of "bous al carrer", a version of the well known "San Fermin" in Pamplona. Also in September the main day (the 8th) is surrounded by a week of multiple activities: from religious processions to classic and rock music concerts and fireworks. Picassent has an Underground station (Line 1) whose name is "Picassent". This connects the city centre of the municipality with the capital València. It takes half an hour more or less going from Picassent to Valencia city centre. It hosts the two main prisons of Valencia.

Alcàsser (Valencian pronunciation: [alˈkaseɾ], Spanish: Alcácer) is a municipality in the comarca of Horta Sud in the Valencian Community, Spain.

The Albufera, La Albufera or L'Albufera de València (Valencian pronunciation: [albuˈfeɾa], meaning "lagoon" in Valencian, from Arabic البحيرة al-buhayra, "small sea"), is a freshwater lagoon and estuary on the Gulf of Valencia coast of the Valencian Community in eastern Spain. It is the main portion of the Parc Natural de l'Albufera de València ("Valencian Albufera Natural Park"), with a surface area of 21,120 hectares (52,200 acres). The natural biodiversity of the nature reserve allows a great variety of flora and fauna to thrive and be observed year-round. Though once a saltwater lagoon, dilution due to irrigation and canals draining into the estuary and the sand bars increasing in size had converted it to freshwater by the seventeenth century.

Algemesí (Valencian pronunciation: [aʎdʒemeˈzi]) is a municipality in the comarca of Ribera Alta in the Valencian Community, Spain. The town of Algemesí is one of the major centres for the production of citruses in Spain, and several cooperatives are based there. This is due to the mild climate and good irrigation coming from the Xuquer river, which passes through the city. Every September the Festivity of “la Mare de Déu de la Salut” is celebrated, declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2011. The traditional Valencian dance called Muixeranga is originally a part of the festivity.
