RHAM High School

The Augustus Post House, also known as Hewitt House, is a historic house in Hebron, Connecticut. Built about 1820, it is a prominent local example of Federal period architecture, whose occupants have included prominent local businessmen and one Governor of Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Hebron Center Historic District encompasses most of the historic village center of Hebron, Connecticut. Centered on the junction of Connecticut Routes 66 and 85, it has served as the rural community's civic center since its incorporation in 1708. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Hebron is a town in Tolland County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region. The population was 9,098 at the 2020 census. Hebron was incorporated May 26, 1708. In 2010, Hebron was rated #6 in Top Towns in Connecticut with population between 6,500 and 10,000, according to Connecticut Magazine.The villages of Hebron Center, Gilead and Amston, are located within Hebron. Amston has its own ZIP Code and post office. The remnants of two long since abandoned communities, Grayville and Gay City, are also located in Hebron. The site of the latter is now Gay City State Park.

The Peters House is a historic house located at 150 East Street in Hebron, Connecticut. The house, built in the mid-eighteenth century, stands at the entrance of Burnt Hill Park, the largest municipal park in Hebron. The house was recently added to The Connecticut Freedom Trail, which documents and designates sites that embody the struggle toward freedom and human dignity as well as celebrate the accomplishments of the state's African American community

Mono Pond State Park Reserve is a public recreation area covering 218 acres (88 ha) in the town of Columbia, Connecticut, 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Willimantic. The state park surrounds Mono Pond, a 113-acre (46 ha) body of water averaging depths of 3.5 feet (1.1 m) with an area near the dam reaching a depth of nine feet (2.7 m). The park offers fishing, hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing, bow hunting, and a boat launch for motorized (8-hp limit) and non-motorized boating. The park is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and was added to the roll of Connecticut state parks in 2008.

Columbia is a town in the Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut, United States. The population was 5,272 at the 2020 census. Originally a part of Lebanon, known as the North Society or Lebanon's Crank, Columbia was incorporated in May 1804. The town was named for patriotic reasons after the national symbol "Columbia". Columbia offers pre-kindergarten through 8th grade education in town at Horace W. Porter School, while high school students have a choice of attending four nearby high schools; E.O Smith High School, Bolton High School (Connecticut), Coventry High School, and Windham Technical High School, part of the Connecticut Technical High School System).

Andover is a rural town in the Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut, United States, roughly 10 miles east of Hartford. The population was 3,151 at the 2020 census. Andover is home to Andover Elementary School for grades K–6 while grades 7–12 go to R.H.A.M. middle and high schools. Andover elementary scores above average on standardized testing and student development as well as having a notably low student to teacher ratio of 8:1.

The Andover Center Historic District encompasses the historic town center of Andover, Connecticut. Centered on the junction of Hebron Road with Center Street and Cider Mill Road, the district includes houses dating to the town's early history, civic buildings including a library and former town hall, and the town's first cemetery. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Salmon River State Forest is a Connecticut state forest located in the towns of Hebron, Marlborough, Colchester, East Haddam, and East Hampton. It includes 1,300 acres (530 ha) leased from the United States government. The forest features Comstock's Bridge, the only remaining covered bridge in eastern Connecticut, which spans the Salmon River near Route 16 in East Hampton.

Columbia Green Historic District is a historic district that includes the town green, Columbia Green, of the town of Columbia, Connecticut, United States. The district includes buildings around the green and extending northwest along Route 87. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It comprises 43 buildings, 2 sites, and 1 object that contribute to the historical significance of the area.The Town Hall, the Congregational Church, a former chapel (now a gallery), the parsonage and the former house of Eleazor Wheelock (c. 1736) are located around the Green. A new Victorian Revival gazebo is located in the center of the Green. Near the intersection of Route 66 and Route 87 is the town historical marker and a World War I memorial. This intersection is dominated visually by the modern St. Columbia Catholic Church (1953), a brick building with a tall spire.Around the green are various civic and religious institutions of the town of Columbia, as well as residences dating from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Some of the more notable buildings in the area are the Eleazor Wheelock House, the Indian Charity School, the Congregational Church, and the Landmark Inn. The Landmark Inn is where General Rochambeau's officers were accommodated as they scouted the route to be taken by the French troops in their famous march from Newport, Rhode Island, to Yorktown, Virginia, during the Revolutionary War.

The Jeremy River, named after Jeremy Adams, begins at a drainage just north of Holbrook Pond about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of Gilead, Connecticut and runs for 10.7 miles (17.2 km) to the Salmon River in Colchester, Connecticut. There are many swamps and marshes along the banks of its northern end, the largest of which is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long. There is a popular paddling route along the Jeremy River that begins at Old Hartford Road just north of Connecticut Route 2 about 3 miles (5 km) west-northwest of Colchester. The 2.5-mile (4.0 km) route has solid Class II whitewater throughout the run and ends at the Salmon River; however, many paddlers continue along the Salmon River paddling route. The Norton Paper Mill is located on Jeremy River (in Colchester, Connecticut). It operated from 1895 until the early 1960s, before becoming abandoned by the early 1980s, and falling into disrepair. A fire engulfed the building on July 8, 2012, consuming most of the remaining combustibles (the largely-intact walls being made of brick). The property was purchased by the Town of Colchester in 2015 (for $1), with plans to remove the building and redevelop the site as a public park. The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut removed the adjacent dam in 2016.

Jeremy Adams, also known as Jeremiah Adams (c.1604/5—August 11, 1683), was one of the first settlers of Hartford, Connecticut. He was also the founder and first proprietor of Colchester, Connecticut, which was established on land owned by Adams, known as "Jeremiah's Farme".
