The house features jigsaw-cut bargeboard decoration on the porches, and paired brackets in the eaves and gables. It was built on land that had been part of a brickyard, which was subdivided for development in the 1870s.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The diner was built in 1941 by the Worcester Lunch Car Company for the Nichols and Perivolaris Families. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.In 2013, after 40 years of the family's ownership, Evangelos Nichols sold the Rosebud to Martin Bloom. Bloom, the founder of a chain of Italian restaurants called Vinny Testa's and owner of the Mission Oak Grill, promised to leave the exterior untouched.

Its most prominent feature is its turret, a three-story polygonal projection from the southeast corner of the building, which is capped by a finial-topped roof. The property includes a period carriage house, which features a cupola.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Havurat Shalom was the first countercultural Jewish community and set the precedent for the national havurah movement. Founded in 1968, it was also significant in the development of the Jewish renewal movement and Jewish feminism. Originally intended to be an "alternative seminary", instead it evolved into a "model havurah".Founders and members of Havurat Shalom have included Edward Feld, Merle Feld, Michael Fishbane, Everett Gendler, Arthur Green, Barry Holtz, Gershon Hundert, James Kugel, Alfred A. Marcus, Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, Jim Sleeper, Michael Strassfeld, and Arthur Waskow. Historian Jonathan Sarna has noted that among these members were "the people who would be leading figures in Jewish life in the second half of the 20th century”.

Davis Square is a major intersection in the northwestern section of Somerville, Massachusetts where several streets meet: Holland Street, Dover Street, Day Street, Elm Street, Highland Avenue, and College Avenue. The name is often used to refer to the West Somerville neighborhood surrounding the square as well. Davis Square is located approximately four miles from downtown Boston, and two miles from mid-Cambridge. The square is served by the Davis Square Station, one of the stops on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)'s Red Line. Davis abuts the Powder House Square, Magoun Square and Spring Hill neighborhoods, as well as Tufts University.Davis Square is today a vibrant commercial, retail, nightlife and dining district. Powder House Square is a neighborhood and landmark rotary in Somerville, Massachusetts, United States. It is also known locally as Powder House Circle. It is the 6-way intersection of College Avenue, Broadway, Warner Street, and Powder House Boulevard. Powder House Square stands at the southern tip of Tufts University's main Somerville/Medford campus, and borders the northern edge of Nathan Tufts Park. The square takes its name from the 18th century Powder House which overlooks the rotary from Nathan Tufts Park. Powder House Square was home to one of the first hostile acts of the American Revolutionary War. The removal of colonial gunpowder by British soldiers, and the massive popular reaction known as Powder Alarm that ensued, are considered to be a turning point in the events leading up to war.
