Lakeville South High School

Lakeville North High School (LNHS) is a public high school in northern Lakeville, Minnesota, United States. Formerly Lakeville High School, LNHS received its current name when a second high school, Lakeville South High School, was built. Grades 9–12 attend the school, and its principal is Kim Budde.The school is a member of Minnesota Independent School District 194 (Lakeville Area Public Schools), and is affiliated with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). The school is a member of the South Suburban Conference (Minnesota). During the 2009-10 school year, Lakeville North High School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education, the highest award an American school can receive.

Marion Lake is a lake in Dakota County, in the U.S. state of Minnesota.Marion Lake was named by Marion W. Savage, proprietor of the Dan Patch Air Rail and owner of the famous race horse Dan Patch. This was also the site of Antler's Park, an amusement park for swimming, dancing and picnics. The park was created as the last destination of the Dan Patch Air Rail.

While many of Lakeville's workers commute northward to Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and more central suburbs like Bloomington, Lakeville has had major industry since the 1960s—including the Airlake Industrial Park, which is served by Airlake Airport, a regional reliever airport.

Owned by the Metropolitan Airports Commission, It is approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of both downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul The airport is located near the Twin Cities suburbs of Lakeville and Farmington. This facility is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, which categorized it as a general aviation reliever airport.Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned LVN by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

The Kenrick Avenue Park and Ride is a 750-space parking ramp in Lakeville, Minnesota providing interchange for bus passengers. The three-level park-and-ride ramp is located on the site of a former Minnesota Department of Transportation weigh station, on the east side of Interstate Highway 35 at Kenrick Avenue and 167th Street West, about two miles south of the point where I-35E and I-35W divide. In January, 2009, the Metropolitan Council awarded a $6.6 million contract to Adolphson & Peterson Construction to build the station, which began serving customers on September 28, 2009. Northbound buses access the freeway directly from the station. Buses on Metro Transit's Express Bus Route 467 now serve commuters destined for downtown Minneapolis. A future extension of the Metro Orange Line, a bus rapid transit service to downtown Minneapolis, may also serve the facility.The station was built at a cost of $8.67 million. Most of the cost was paid by the federal government with $1.7 million coming from Minnesota state bonds. The park and ride was the third largest facility by capacity in the Metro Transit system in 2011.

Orchard Lake is a lake in Lakeville, Dakota County, in the U.S. state of Minnesota.Orchard Lake was named for the wild groves of crab apple and wild plum that grew near this lake.

Farmington Senior High School is a public high school located in Farmington, Minnesota, United States. It is part of Farmington Area Public Schools. The school was located at 200 Denmark Avenue, until 2009, when the school opened at 20655 Flagstaff Avenue. Farmington's team name is the Tigers.

Eureka Center is an unincorporated community in Eureka Township, Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. Eureka Center is located at the center of Eureka Township along Dakota County Road 80, 5 miles (8.0 km) south-southeast of Lakeville. Nearby places also include Farmington and Elko New Market. The Eureka Town Hall is located in Eureka Center. The community had a station on the former Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway.

The Emil J. Oberhoffer House is a historic house in Lakeville, Minnesota, United States, overlooking Orchard Lake. Emil Oberhoffer was the founder and first conductor of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. The home was designed by Paul Haugen, who worked for Purcell and Elmslie, an architectural firm known for its renditions of Prairie School architecture. Later the home belonged to the parents of golfer Patty Berg.Architect Paul Haugen began his architectural career as an apprentice in Fargo, North Dakota. After moving to Minneapolis, he was influenced by the Prairie School style of architecture and ornamentation. This home was designed while he was on his own for a brief period of time around 1913. During that time he designed several residences and a school in Burnsville.

Crystal Lake is a lake in Burnsville, Dakota County, Minnesota. The lake is a primary source of recreation for the city of Burnsville and the surrounding area. Crystal Beach Park , Crystal Lake West Park and Tyacke Park all have coastline along the lake and offer amenities such as boat landings, picnic areas, hard surfaced courts, playground equipment, walking trails, and others. Nearby Lac Lavon Lake Park has a softball complex, tennis courts, and horseshoe courts. The Lake also contains two islands, Picnic Island (nicknamed Potty Island) and Maple Island. The most southerly parts of the lake extend into the city of Lakeville. Crystal Lake was named from its sparkling waters.

Buck Hill is a ski hill in Burnsville, Minnesota, a suburb south of Minneapolis. It is one of three ski areas in the Twin Cities metropolitan area; the others are Afton Alps and Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area. Buck Hill opened in 1954 and offers ski, snowboard, and tubing trails. Artificial snow is often used to maintain the slopes, because while Minnesota's winters are cold, the average annual snowfall is low for a ski area: less than 60 in (150 cm).Buck Hill faces east, overlooking Interstate 35. It is owned by David and Corrine "Chip" Solner. The ski area is lighted for night skiing, and operates three chairlifts (2 quads, 1 triple) and multiple surface tows (trail map). The base area consists of a parking lot and a short strip of lodges. The ski runs use the east face of the hill, with the other sides occupied by residential housing, and a municipal water tower sharing the summit. The ski area's vertical drop is 310 feet (94 m).
