Lakeville is an exurb of Minneapolis-Saint Paul, and the largest city in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. It is approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of both downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul along Interstate Highway 35. Starting as a flourishing milling center, its agriculture industry and other major industries are still in operation. Lakeville is one of the fastest-growing cities in the Twin Cities area. The population was 69,490 at the 2020 census. making it Minnesota's tenth most populous city. Lakeville first became notable in 1910 when Marion Savage built the Dan Patch Railroad Line to service his Antlers Amusement Park. While many of Lakeville's workers commute northward to Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and more central suburbs like Bloomington, Lakeville has had major industry since the 1960s—including the Airlake Industrial Park, which is served by Airlake Airport, a regional reliever airport.

Eureka Center is located at the center of Eureka Township along Dakota County Road 80, 5 miles (8.0 km) south-southeast of Lakeville. Nearby places also include Farmington and Elko New Market. The Eureka Town Hall is located in Eureka Center. The community had a station on the former Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway.

Lakeville South High School (LSHS) is a high school located Lakeville, Minnesota, United States. To meet the needs of a growing population, in the early 2000s the district began construction of LSHS. LSHS enrolled students for the first time in fall 2005. Unlike LNHS, whose student come from a predominantly urban/suburban catchment area, LSHS pulls from the suburban/rural areas of Lakeville. This socioeconomic divide has contributed to the ferocity of the rivalry between LNHS and LSHS athletics. In addition, the close proximity and closeness of the community in the City of Lakeville also plays a large role in the strong community competition between the two high schools. The school is a member of Minnesota Independent School District 194 (Lakeville Area Public Schools) and is affiliated with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). The school is a member of the South Suburban Conference.

Lakeville North High School (LNHS) is a public high school in northern Lakeville, Minnesota, United States. Formerly Lakeville High School, LNHS received its current name when a second high school, Lakeville South High School, was built. Grades 9–12 attend the school, and its principal is Kim Budde.The school is a member of Minnesota Independent School District 194 (Lakeville Area Public Schools), and is affiliated with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). The school is a member of the South Suburban Conference (Minnesota). During the 2009-10 school year, Lakeville North High School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education, the highest award an American school can receive.

Christiania Lutheran Free Church (now Highview Christiania Lutheran Church - ELCA) is a historic church in Eureka Township, Minnesota, United States. The church is located at 26690 Highview Avenue approximately nine miles (14 km) southwest of Farmington, Minnesota.In the early 1850s, a group of Norwegian immigrant first arrived in Eureka Township. A Norwegian language Lutheran congregation was formally organized in 1860. Their church was first known as the Norwegian-Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church in Christiana Settlement. The carpenter Gothic church was built under the direction of Hans Berg Larsen between 1877-78. It located on the site of the congregation's original 1865 log church. The church was dedicated in 1878. It is one of the oldest church buildings in continuous use in the state of Minnesota. Christiania Lutheran Free Church has been known as the Highview Christiania Lutheran Church since 1966. The church building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Marion Lake is a lake in Dakota County, in the U.S. state of Minnesota.Marion Lake was named by Marion W. Savage, proprietor of the Dan Patch Air Rail and owner of the famous race horse Dan Patch. This was also the site of Antler's Park, an amusement park for swimming, dancing and picnics. The park was created as the last destination of the Dan Patch Air Rail.

It is located at 512 Division Street in Farmington, Minnesota, United States.The primary responsibility of Minneapolis Center is sequencing and separation of overflights, arrivals, and departures, in order to provide safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft filed under instrument flight rules (IFR). Minneapolis Center is the 13th busiest ARTCC in the United States. Between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017, Minneapolis Center handled 1,986,502 aircraft. Minneapolis Center covers approximately 330,000 square miles of the United States Midwest region, including all or parts of Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and Missouri.Minneapolis Center employs close to 400 air traffic employees, approximately 300 of whom are air traffic controllers. Minneapolis Center lies adjacent to 7 separate Area Control Centers, including Toronto Center, Winnipeg Center, Cleveland Center, Salt Lake City Center, Denver Center, Kansas City Center, and Chicago Center. ZMP overlies or abuts 18 approach control facilities (including APN, MBS, GRB, M98, DLH, YQT, GFK, FAR, MOT, BIS, FSD, SUX, LNK, OMA, DSM, STJ, RST, and MKE approaches) and is responsible for approximately 210 uncontrolled airports with authorized instrument approach procedures.
