North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station Cottage, also known as College Station and Hezouri House, is a historic home located at Raleigh, North Carolina. It built in 1886 to house the residence and office of the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station, It is a two-story, frame farmhouse with elements of Gothic Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne style architecture. It has a cross-gable roof and features sawnwork decoration on the front porch and gables. The building housed the first agricultural experiment station in North Carolina. The station closed in 1926, and it was subsequently used as a residence.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library is one of two main libraries at North Carolina State University. It is the third building to house the NC State University Libraries, following Brooks Hall and Holladay Hall. The current building, situated on the Hillsborough Street edge of North Campus, is the result of four stages of construction, and houses the majority of the volumes in NC State's collection. As of 2020, the system's total holdings amount to over 3.28 million available volumes, 122,839 electronic journal subscriptions, 511 print subscriptions, 685 bibliographic databases, and access to over 1.3 million electronic books. In the 2019–2020 academic year, the Libraries saw over 16 million total uses. The Libraries' collection is the smallest among the "Big 3" Universities in the Triangle Research Libraries Network—the other two library systems being Duke University (7.26 million volumes as of 2016) and UNC at Chapel Hill (9.19 million volumes as of 2016).

WKNC-FM (88.1 FM) is North Carolina State University's student-run, non-commercial college radio station broadcasting from Raleigh, North Carolina in the United States. Broadcasting with an effective radiated power of 25,000 watts, its signal covers much of the Research Triangle and outlying areas. The station is operated as part of the Department of Student Media at N.C. State and students hold all roles from DJ to general manager. The primary weekday format is indie rock, with specialty shows and other music genres featured during the evenings and weekends.

University Plaza, or more commonly The Brickyard, is a public plaza at the heart of North Carolina State University's North Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is the university's most active court and has been the site of numerous special events, including concerts, memorials, campaign rallies and political protests.

The university forms one of the corners of the Research Triangle together with Duke University in Durham and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity".The North Carolina General Assembly established the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, now NC State, on March 7, 1887, originally as a land-grant college. The college underwent several name changes and officially became North Carolina State University at Raleigh in 1965. However, by longstanding convention, the "at Raleigh" portion is usually omitted. Today, NC State has an enrollment of more than 35,000 students, making it among the largest in the country. NC State has historical strengths in engineering, statistics, agriculture, life sciences, textiles, and design and offers bachelor's degrees in 106 fields of study. The graduate school offers master's degrees in 104 fields, doctoral degrees in 61 fields, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.NC State athletic teams are known as the Wolfpack. The name was unofficially adopted in 1921 following an unsigned letter to the NC State Alumni News suggesting the moniker "Wolf Pack". They compete in NCAA Division I and have won ten national championships: four NCAA championships, two AIAW championships, and four titles under other sanctioning bodies.

North Carolina State University in 1950 founded the first university-based reactor program and Nuclear Engineering curriculum in the United States. The program continues in the early 21st century. That year, NC State College administrators approved construction of a reactor and the establishment of a collegiate nuclear engineering program. The first research reactor was completed in 1953; it was scaled up in 1957 and 1960 (referred to as R-1, R-2, and R-3). It was deactivated in 1973 to make way for the PULSTAR reactor. The old reactor has been decommissioned. The PULSTAR is used for a variety of purposes, including training and research. The reactor is located in Burlington Engineering Laboratories on NCSU's main campus. This facility was built to house the first reactor and then expanded and renamed when the PULSTAR was built. The current reactor is one of two PULSTAR reactors built, and the only one still in operation. The other reactor was a 2 MW reactor at the State University of New York at Buffalo. It went critical in 1964 and was decommissioned in 1994.

G. Milton Small and Associates Office Building is a historic home and office located on Brooks Avenue in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect G. Milton Small (1916-1992), who also designed the Small House, and built in 1966. It is a one floor, steel-frame Miesian style building that covers most of a 69-foot by 155-foot flat lot. It features grids of aluminum mullions carrying metal panels and sheets of glass, and an overhanging flat roof. It housed the architecture firm of G. Milton Small and Associates.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Maiden Lane Historic District is a national historic district located at Raleigh, North Carolina. The district encompasses 12 contributing residential buildings and was developed between about 1893 and 1923. The district includes notable examples of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style architecture. Notable houses include the Isabella Morrison Hill House (c. 1895), Irby-Brewer House (c. 1893), Allie H. Kirks House (c. 1914), Love Virginia Davis House (c. 1905), and Frank Brown House (1923).In 2006, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Oberlin Village is a historic African American community located on the outskirts of Raleigh, North Carolina. Established post-Civil War, the village grew from a small cluster of free Black landowners into a thriving settlement during Reconstruction. The community has been recognized as a Historic Overlay District, and has multiple structures that are on the National Register of Historic Places.

The West Raleigh Historic District in Raleigh, North Carolina is a national historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Located 1.5 miles (2.41 km) west-northwest of the State Capitol, the district encompasses approximately 332 acres (134 ha). Neighborhoods in the district include: Bedford Heights, Bagwell, Blue Moon Ridge, College Crest (now known as Stanhope), Fairmont, Forest Hills, Harris-Chamberlain, and Wilmont. Most homes in these neighborhoods are one-story and were constructed between the 1930s to 1950s. While the district is mostly residential, churches and commercial buildings are common along Hillsborough Street.Enterprise Street, Chamberlain Street, and Rosemont Avenue form the eastern boundaries of the district. Mayview Road, Rosedale Avenue, Ruffin Street, and Furches Street form the northern boundary while Faircloth Street is the district's western boundary. Hillsborough Street forms the southern boundary, except from Dixie Trail to Henderson Street where the boundary moves southward to include the Stanhope neighborhood. Most of the district residents include faculty and students from North Carolina State University.

The Jenkins Graduate School of Management is the graduate program at North Carolina State University. It is part of NC State's College of Management and is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, part of North Carolina's Research Triangle Park.

The Poole College of Management is the business school of the North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The college, accredited by the AACSB in 2000, currently enrolls more than 3,500 students across its undergraduate and graduate academic programs. The college employs around 100 full-time faculty members across its four academic departments: Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
