Brickell Heights

Solitair Brickell is a high-rise apartment building in the Brickell district of Miami, Florida, USA. It contains 420 apartments and is about 555 feet (169 m) high with 48 floors when completed in 2017. The building was built in the place of a ramp to a parking garage to an adjacent 1980s office building known as the Brickell Bayview Center during a wave of high-rise residential development in the Greater Downtown Miami area in the 2010s. The building is adjacent to Brickell City Centre, a large mixed-use development completed in 2016.

Brickell Bayview Center, also known as the Brickell City Tower, is a skyscraper in the Brickell financial district of Miami, Florida, USA, at 80 SW 8th Street. The building is about 330 feet (100 m) with 30 floors and was designed in 1984 by South Miami architectural firm, Hatcher, Zeigler, Gunn and Associates for the Japanese Development Corporation, originally as the World Trade Center Miami Tower. Completed in 1986, the floor-to-ceiling glass facade building once stood alone on the western side of Brickell, which at the time was home to mostly office towers and older low-rise residential buildings. After two residential high-rise building booms, the first in the 2000s, concurrent with the 2000s real estate bubble, and the second in the mid 2010s and early 2020s, the building was virtually surrounded by taller buildings. Solitair Brickell required demolishing a parking ramp to the base of the building to the northeast, Brickell Heights was built directly adjacent to the east, and Nine at Mary Brickell Village was built directly to the south of the building. To the west, even West Brickell saw significant mid-rise development in the 2010s, such as the West Brickell View low income senior housing two blocks to the west. In 2023, another building, the Brickell Gateway Tower, was proposed between it and Solitair. It is adjacent to the Brickell Metrorail and Metromover station. The building is also known as the Chase Building, naming rights for anchor tenant Chase Bank, which has a branch on the ground floor. It was once one of the tallest buildings in Miami until the mid 2000s, but by 2023 wouldn't even be in the top 150. The 285,595-square-foot (26,532.6 m2) building was sold in 2013 for US$70 million. The building was sold again in October 2018 for $117.25 million to the real estate arm of New York Life Insurance Company.

SLS Lux is a 58-story skyscraper luxury apartment building and hotel in the Brickell district of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. The building consists of 438 condo units and 86 hotel-condo units set atop a parking pedestal. SLS Lux is located at South Miami Avenue and Southeast Eighth Street, across from Brickell City Centre, at 801 South Miami Avenue. It is regarded as one of the best apartment buildings in its neighborhood by residents, with an array of opulent features from marble flooring throughout the common areas, two rooftop pools, an on-site spa and gym, private elevators to each residence, top-of-the-line appliances, modern finishes and 24 hour security and valet service.

The Shops at Mary Brickell Village is a lifestyle center located in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami, Florida. It has become a very popular downtown destination through bringing new stores and eateries to the area. Mary Brickell Village is served by the Miami Metrorail at Brickell Station and by the Metromover.

Brickell City Centre is a large mixed-use complex consisting of two residential high-rise towers, two office buildings, a high-rise hotel, and an interconnected five-story shopping mall and lifestyle center covering 9 acres (36,000 m2) located in the Brickell district of Downtown Miami, Florida. Situated at the junction of Miami Avenue and Eighth Street, it spans up to five blocks to the west of Brickell Avenue and to the south of the Miami River. Contrary to the name, the development is not in the traditional downtown Miami city centre, but in the more recently redeveloped financial district of Brickell. The retail shopping and lifestyle center is operated by Simon Malls. Brickell City Centre, which cost an estimated $1.05 billion, was completed in 2016. It was first proposed during the real estate bubble of the 2000s, but then cancelled during the economic downturn following the Great Recession. It was revived in 2012 with enough acreage to qualify for Special Area Plan (SAP) zoning with construction beginning by year's end. The hotel and residential towers, as well as some office space, opened in 2016. Phased retail openings started in November 2016.

The Fire Station No. 4 is a historic fire station in Miami, Florida. It is located at 1000 South Miami Avenue. On March 8, 1984, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In October 2007, it became the home of the restaurant "Dolores but you can call me Lolita".

The Tobacco Road was a bar in the Brickell area of Downtown Miami, Florida. It was popularly known as the oldest bar in the city. The liquor license it amended was first issued in November 1912 (though property records show the building as being built in 1915, as a bakery) and operated nearly continuously since its opening, having been shut down briefly at times for run-ins with the law, such as when the upstairs, now a live music venue, was used as a speakeasy during Prohibition. Tobacco Road was located at 626 South Miami Avenue, on the south side of the Miami River, putting it in Miami's Brickell district, where it was classified as a classic dive bar, being popular among locals. Tobacco Road celebrated its 100th anniversary in November 2012. In 2012, the land on which Tobacco Road lies was purchased for $12.5 million. On October 26, 2014, Tobacco Road closed and was demolished by Thunder Demolition Inc. An estimated 4,000 people came on its last night.

Brickell City Centre, formerly known and still referred to as Eighth Street, is a Metromover station in the Brickell district of Downtown, Miami, Florida, 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Little Havana. This station is located on the Tamiami Trail (Southeast Eighth Street/US 41) near First Avenue. It opened to service May 26, 1994. Eighth Street station and its grounds received significant upgrades as part of Swire Properties' $1.05 billion Brickell City Centre project throughout its closure from August 2014 to November 2015. While the station reopened in 2015, the third floor connection to Brickell City Centre remained closed through October 2016.

Brickell Flatiron is a residential skyscraper in the Brickell district of Miami, Florida. Brickell Flatiron is 736 feet (224 m) tall, 64 stories, and has 527-units. The luxury condominium is named "flatiron" due to the triangular lot it is built on, similar to the Flatiron Building in New York City. The 736-foot-high tower is currently the tallest condominium south of New York City.

The Martina Apartments were a historic site in Miami, Florida. They were located at 1023 South Miami Avenue. On January 4, 1989, they were added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, but then they were demolished sometime before 2002.

Tenth Street Promenade is a Metromover station in the Brickell district of Downtown, Miami, Florida. This station located on Southwest First Avenue (SE First Ave on Google Maps and street signs say Brickell Plaza) and 10th Street, opening to service May 26, 1994. It serves Mary Brickell Village, Brickell City Centre, Premiere Towers, 1101 Brickell Building, and 1010 Brickell.

Axis at Brickell Village is a high-rise building complex in the Brickell district of Miami, Florida. The complex, designed by the renowned Arquitectonica architecture firm, consists of two residential twin towers, Axis at Brickell Village North Tower and Axis at Brickell Village South Tower. Both towers were topped off in mid-2007, meaning that they have reached their final heights and were completed in 2008. The towers rise 418 feet (127 meters) each, with 40 floors. They are among the tallest buildings in Miami. The buildings are located at 1100 Southwest 1st Avenue. Axis on Brickell is located immediately adjacent to the Brickell Metrorail and Metromover station.
