Cha Kwo Ling (Chinese: 茶果嶺) is a hill in the eastern New Kowloon area of Hong Kong, and the area around it. It is adjacent to Victoria Harbour and located to the west of Yau Tong and southwest of Lam Tin. Administratively, it belongs to the Kwun Tong District. The northeastern entrance to the Eastern Harbour Crossing is located in this area. The Cha Kwo Ling Village (茶果嶺村), described as one of the last squatter villages in Hong Kong, has a population of approximately 2,400. It is located approximately 1.4 km (0.87 mi) northwest of Lei Yue Mun, adjacent to the Laguna City development. It lies at the foot of the hill and stretches along Cha Kwo Ling Road, which was built on reclaimed land and separates the village from the coast. In the 2019 and 2020 policy addresses, the chief executive stated that the government intends to take back possession of the Cha Kwo Ling Village and to redevelop the land into high-density public housing.Cha Kwo Ling derives its name from the abundance of macaranga tanarius in the area, the leaves of which are used in the process of making cha kwo, a traditional Hakka snack.

Sai Tso Wan (Chinese: 茜草灣 or 西草灣) is a former bay in the west shore near the centre of Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. Its reclamation started in the 1960s. The bay has several heavy industry facilities, such oil storages and docks. The Chinese name Sai Tso Wan (茜草灣) means the bay of Rubia cordifolia (茜草). Correctly, pronounced as Sin Tso Wan rather than Sai Tso Wan. For the sake of convenience, the Chinese name is sometimes written using characters with the same pronunciation, Sai Tso Wan (西草灣), which means the bay of west grass.

Lam Tin (Chinese: 藍田; Cantonese Yale: Làamtìn) is a station on the Hong Kong MTR Kwun Tong line built as a part of the extension to Quarry Bay. The station is linked to the nearby hillside community of Lam Tin by a series of escalators.

Hong Kong Sceneway Plaza , SCENEWAY PLAZA (Chinese: SCENEWAY PLAZA滙景廣場; Jyutping: wui6 ging2 gwong2 coeng4) is a shopping centre in Lam Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It also contains the East Kowloon Office of the Immigration Department. Opened in February 1992, the shopping centre is located adjacent to Lam Tin station of Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway (MTR). The plaza, which used to be a Japanese department store called Yaohan, contains many small stores including fashion, stationery, and music shops. The complex has five floors, but only three are used for multiple retail outlets. One floor contains the offices of the Immigration Department and the bottom floor has only a bookstore (in addition to the escalator).

Laguna City (Chinese: 麗港城) is a large-scale private-housing estates built in Sai Tso Wan, Kwun Tong District, in eastern Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was developed jointly by Cheung Kong Holdings and Hutchison Whampoa Property and completed in the early 1990s. The estate is also home to Laguna City Football Club and Laguna Gully Cricket Club.

The Eastern Harbour Crossing, abbreviated as "EHC" (Chinese: 東隧), is a combined road-rail tunnel that crosses beneath Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. Opened on 21 September 1989, it connects Quarry Bay, Hong Kong Island and Cha Kwo Ling, Kowloon East.

Hong Nga Court (Chinese: 康雅苑) is Home Ownership Scheme court in Lam Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was developed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and consists of 3 blocks. The court was inaugurated in 1993. The court is located near the Lam Tin South Sports Centre, Lam Tin MTR Station and various shopping centres. The court is also located next to Tak Tin Estate, a mixed public/TPS estate. The three blocks of the court were originally planned to become block 9, 10, and 11 of this estate. This plan was later scrapped and flats were instead sold under the Home Ownership Scheme.

Lam Tin is an area in the Kwun Tong District in southeastern New Kowloon, Hong Kong. Lam Tin is primarily a residential area but also hosts a major transport interchange and several shopping attractions. Lam Tin was once a large field in the vicinity of Kowloon Bay. During the Song dynasty, it was a site of salt production. Since the 1980s, a number of housing estates were constructed in Lam Tin. A high-density residential district built on a coastal knoll, Lam Tin hosts residential housing estates, transport infrastructure, mass-transit facilities, shopping centres, recreational areas and many other buildings and structures. It is home to 130,000 residents, making up a fifth of Kwun Tong District's population.

Kwun Tong Swimming Pool (Chinese: 觀塘游泳池) is a public swimming pool in Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong and is the largest swimming pool complex in Kwun Tong District. It is located south of Tsui Ping Estate and is close to Kwun Tong and Lam Tin stations. Currently, it is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong Government. Covering an area of about 23,038 m2, there are multiple outdoor indoor swimming pool facilities, which provide residents in the district with all-day indoor and outdoor swimming venues. It is also a popular choice for residents of East Kowloon to learn to swim.

The death of Chan Yin-lam occurred during the 2019 Hong Kong protests, and gave rise to speculations by protesters about its cause. Lam was a 15-year-old student who died on or shortly after 19 September 2019. Her naked corpse was found floating in the sea near Yau Tong, Hong Kong, on 22 September 2019. Following a preliminary autopsy, police asserted that no foul play was suspected and that Chan had killed herself, while there were allegations that she was murdered by Hong Kong authorities in connection with her participation in the 2019 Hong Kong protests. The coroner's inquest concluded with the jury unanimously returning an open verdict, after Magistrate Ko Wai-hung ruled out both homicide and suicide as possible causes due to insufficient evidence to support this.

Kwun Tong Tsai Bay (Chinese: 觀塘仔灣), or Yau Tong Bay (油塘灣), is a bay in Yau Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, situated between Kai Tsz Shan and Ling Nam San Tsuen and nearby Cha Kwo Ling and opposite to Aldrich Bay in Shau Kei Wan.Since the 1960s, Yau Tong has been developed into a public housing area and an industrial area.In late 1990s, Kwun Tong Tsai Bay was proposed to be reclaimed for development of private housing estates. But in response to strong opposition from the public, the proposal was turned down and replaced by decommissioning of shipyards around the Bay.

Tak Tin Estate (Chinese: 德田邨) is a mixed public/TPS estate in Lam Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It consists of 9 blocks completed in 1991 and 2001. In 1999, some of the flats (Tak Hong House and Tak Yan House excluded) were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 2.Hong Ying Court (Chinese: 康盈苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court in Lam Tin, near Tak Tin Estate. It has one block built in 1991.
