Petts Wood railway station

The Daylight Inn is a Grade II listed public house at Station Square, Petts Wood, Orpington, in the London Borough of Bromley. It was built in 1935 for Charrington's Brewery, and designed by their chief architect Sidney Clark.The pub was named in honour of William Willett who came up with the idea of Daylight Saving and lived in Petts Wood. Long-standing legal restrictions meant that no other pub could be built within one mile. Until Wetherspoons opened The Sovereign of the Seas, Petts Wood only ever had one public house.

Petts Wood is a town in south-east London, England, previously located in the historic county of Kent. It lies south of Chislehurst, west of St Paul's Cray and Poverest, north of Orpington and Crofton, and east of Southborough and Bromley Common. The area forms part of the London Borough of Bromley local authority district in the ceremonial county of Greater London.

Jubilee Country Park is a 62-acre (25 ha) public park in Petts Wood in the London Borough of Bromley. It is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. It was purchased by Bromley Council to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977, and opened as a park in 1981.The park is part of an extensive wildlife corridor together with Petts Wood and Scadbury Park. The London Loop goes through it. The park consists of extensive areas of grassland and ancient woodland. The grassland has a large population of the rare corkyfruit water dropwort, while midland hawthorns are abundant in the woodland. There is access from Southborough Lane, Blackbrook Lane and Tent Peg Lane.

Chislehurst Junction is an important railway junction near Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley, England. It is the point where the South Eastern Main Line and the Chatham Main Line pass over each other, with diversion chords between each line. These are arranged such that a London-bound train on one line can transfer to the other, and likewise for services heading away from the capital.

Crofton Wood or Crofton Woods is Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation and a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Crofton in the London Borough of Bromley. Kyd Brook goes through the Wood. It is a large area of ancient woodland on London Clay, which supports many types of trees, shrubs and herbs. Trees in the ancient wood are mainly oak and hazel, with a central area of former fields. It has high botanical diversity, including fourteen species of sedge, and a rich invertebrate fauna.The London Loop goes through the Wood, and there is access from a range of different points round the woodland.

The former Orpington engine shed is located in Orpington, Greater London, England. It is situated on the eastern side of the South East Main Line and to the north of Orpington station.The shed's code was ON.

Bromley High School is a girls' independent school located in Bickley, Greater London. Originally located in the middle of Bromley, in 1981 it relocated to occupy new buildings set in 24 acres (9.7 ha) of grounds and playing fields. The Good Schools Guide describes the school: "Cool calm atmosphere pervades the corridors which are lined with notice boards announcing forthcoming events and successes. General impression is of a busy and active school."

Coopers School is a mixed secondary school with academy status in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley, England. The current Head of School is Claire Bessa.The school shares a site with the community special school Marjorie McClure. The site is on land between Chislehurst Common and the National Trust's Hawkwood Estate, an area of working farmland and woodland, and is above the Chislehurst Caves. As of 2013 the school had some 1,357 students, of whom approximately 200 were in the sixth form.The school was inspected by Ofsted in 2009 and rated good with outstanding capacity for sustained improvement.

St Mary's Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Chislehurst, the Borough of Bromley, London. It was built from 1853 to 1854, and was designed by William Wardell. Wardell, a friend of the architect Augustus Pugin, built the church in a similar Gothic Revival style. It is located on the corner of Crown Lane and Hawkwood Lane to the south of Chislehurst. The church is a Grade II listed building. In 1874, the church was expanded. A chapel, designed by Henry Clutton was added to the church. It was built to house the tomb of Napoleon III, who died the previous year, spending his last years in exile in nearby Camden Place. In 1879, Napoleon's son, Louis-Napoléon, Prince Imperial, or Napoleon IV, also died and was also buried in the church. In 1888, their tombs were moved to Farnborough Abbey. Around the church is a graveyard, dating to 1864, and contains the tomb of Charles West, the founder of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Orpington railway station is on the South Eastern Main Line, serving the town of Orpington in the London Borough of Bromley, south-east London. It is 13 miles 65 chains (22.2 km) down the line from London Charing Cross and is situated between Petts Wood and Chelsfield stations. It is in Travelcard Zone 6.

Crofton Roman Villa in Crofton, Orpington, in the London Borough of Bromley, is a Roman villa which was inhabited between approximately 140 and 400 AD. It was the centre of a farming estate of about 500 acres (200 ha), with farm buildings nearby, surrounded by fields, meadows and woods. The house was altered several times during its 260 years of occupation, and at its largest it probably had at least 20 rooms. The remains of ten rooms can be seen today. Two rooms contain the remains of "opus signinum" floors, and three have evidence of tiled, or "tessellated", floors. Details of an underfloor central heating hypocaust can also be seen, featuring both channelled and pillared systems, as can small finds from the site. The villa is adjacent to Orpington railway station, and is not far from Lullingstone Roman Villa, near Eynsford, Kent.

Chislehurst Common is an open space in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley in south-east London. It is jointly managed with St Paul's Cray Common. The common was used for cricket matches in the 18th century. It was the home venue of Chislehurst Cricket Club which played several known matches against London Cricket Club from 1738 to 1741. Cricket is still played on Chislehurst Common as the Chislehurst and West Kent Cricket Club has its ground in the south-west corner of the common on Cricket Ground Road.
