Rubén Darío National Theatre

The National Library of Nicaragua Rubén Darío is the national library of Nicaragua, located in the city of Managua. It was founded in 1880, and damaged in the 1931 earthquake. Another earthquake in 1972 caused further damage, furthermore, it was looted. One of its librarians was the poet Rubén Darío, in whose honour it was renamed. The total stock of the library is 120,000 volumes.

The National Palace of Culture (Spanish: Palacio de la Cultura) is one of the oldest buildings in Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua. It is home to the country's national museum and art gallery, hosting works of artists Arnold Belkin, Armando Morales and Leoncio Saénz. The Nicaraguan Institute of Culture is housed within the same building.

The Old Cathedral of Managua, known as the Catedral de Santiago (St. James' Cathedral) in Spanish, is a cathedral in Managua, Nicaragua. The Cathedral was designed by Belgian architects. Its neoclassical design was said to have been inspired by the look of the church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris, France. Construction began in 1928 and lasted until 1938. Belgian engineer Pablo Dambach oversaw the construction of the cathedral. The iron that was used to frame the core of the cathedral was shipped directly from Belgium.The cathedral survived the 1931 Nicaragua earthquake, as only its iron core had been erected at the time. Four decades later, the cathedral was heavily damaged during the 1972 Nicaragua earthquake, and the building was subsequently condemned though it was not demolished. The closing of the cathedral eventually led to the construction of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, also known as the New Cathedral of Managua, which was completed in 1993. Since that time, the restoration of the Old Cathedral has appeared to be possible.The Old Cathedral's tower clock, which was damaged during the Contra Civil War of the 1980s, was later removed during renovations to the cathedral in the late 1990s. The clock is now housed at the National Palace of Culture.

Instituto Loyola is a private Catholic coeducational elementary and secondary education institution run by the Society of Jesus in Managua, Nicaragua. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1946 as an all-boys elementary school. It accepts students of other faiths who attend the programmed religious activities. The school shares the mission of the Society of Jesus, "the service of faith and promotion of justice."

Soberanía National Stadium (Spanish: Estadio Nacional Soberanía) is located in Managua, Nicaragua. It has a capacity of 15,000 and it was named after former MLB player Dennis Martínez. The original stadium was built in 1948 and is Nicaragua's national stadium. It is used mainly for baseball but also serves as a venue for concerts, boxing, football, religious events and had a capacity of 30,100 people. It is the home stadium of Indios del Bóer baseball team and Deportivo Walter Ferretti football team. Inside the stadium is a hall of fame near the entrance showing medals, cups, photos and memories of Nicaraguan players. There is also a gym located inside.

Plaza Inter is a shopping center in Managua, Nicaragua, developed and operated by the Taiwanese company Nica Eastern Development, Inc. The shopping center is home to 65 stores, a food court, a supermarket and a movie theater.

Tiscapa Lagoon is a lagoon of volcanic origin that formed over 10,000 years ago. It is located in the capital city of Managua in Nicaragua, and covers an area of 0.13 km2. Tiscapa Lagoon was protected as a natural reserve (Spanish: Reserva Natural Laguna de Tiscapa) on October 31, 1991. The reserve is managed by the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (MARENA) and comprises one of the 78 protected areas of Nicaragua. The reserve is located within city limits of the capital, Managua, and is a popular tourist attraction. Restaurants and stores line the walls of the lagoon, while canopy rides provide a panoramic view of the old downtown where only a few buildings survived the 1972 earthquake that destroyed 90 percent of the capital city. Of course, many new buildings and shopping malls have been built since then. Many pre-Columbian artifacts have been found in and around lagoon and reserve. The lagoon has its unique ecosystem with its own characteristic flora and fauna and height.

The Fondo Centroamericano de Mujeres (FCAM) or Central American Women's Fund is a feminist organisation supporting women's rights in Central America, based in Nicaragua. FCAM is the first and only foundation in Central America, focused on resourcing grassroots women's organisations. As a women's fund, it works towards guaranteeing women's human rights through physical and emotional integrity, economic justice, and political participation. FCAM provides money, capacity building, and opportunities for the defence and promotion of human rights.

The National University of Engineering (Spanish: Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, UNI) is located in Managua, Nicaragua. It is acknowledged by its meticulous and selective admission system, through a high difficulty exam with top components of math and physics. The average acceptance rate is about 6% out of a pool of more than 2,000 applicants per year. This keeps the new students compromised permanently to the "highest exigency level" of excellency.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Managua (erected 2 December 1913) is a metropolitan diocese, and its suffragan dioceses include Bluefields, Esteli, Granada, Jinotega, Juigalpa, León en Nicaragua and Matagalpa.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Mary (Spanish: Catedral Metropolitana de la Inmaculada Concepción de María), referred to as the New Cathedral (La Nueva Catedral), is located in Managua, Nicaragua. It was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.

Estadio Olímpico del IND Managua is a multi-use stadium in Managua, Nicaragua. It is currently used mostly for football matches, on club level by América Managua, Deportivo Walter Ferretti, Managua F.C. of the Primera División de Nicaragua. The stadium has a capacity of 8,000 spectators.
