Holiday Park, Saskatoon

Saskatoon () is the largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It straddles a bend in the South Saskatchewan River in the central region of the province. It is located along the Trans-Canada Yellowhead Highway, and has served as the cultural and economic hub of central Saskatchewan since its founding in 1882 as a Temperance colony.With a 2021 census population of 266,141, Saskatoon is the largest city in the province, and the 17th largest Census Metropolitan Area in Canada, with a 2021 census population of 317,480. Saskatoon is home to the University of Saskatchewan, the Meewasin Valley Authority (which protects the South Saskatchewan River and provides for the city's popular riverbank park spaces), and Wanuskewin Heritage Park (a National Historic Site of Canada and UNESCO World Heritage applicant representing 6,000 years of First Nations history). The Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344, the most populous rural municipality in Saskatchewan, surrounds the city and contains many of the developments associated with it, including Wanuskewin. Saskatoon is named after the saskatoon berry which is native to the region, and is itself derived from the Cree misâskwatômina. The city has a significant Indigenous population and several urban Reserves. The city has nine river crossings and is nicknamed "Paris of the Prairies" and "Bridge City". Historic neighbourhoods of Saskatoon include Nutana and Riversdale, which were separate towns before amalgamating with the town of Saskatoon and incorporating as a city in 1906. Nutana, Riversdale, their historic main streets of Broadway Avenue and 20th Street, as well as the downtown core and other central neighbourhoods are seeing significant reinvestment and redevelopment. Sutherland, the rail town annexed by the city in 1956 that lies beyond the University lands, is now another historic old city.

E. D. Feehan Catholic High School is a Catholic high school on the west side of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in the neighbourhood known as Caswell Hill. It is operated by Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. It was the only Catholic high school on the city's west end until 2008 when Bethlehem High School, located in the Blairmore Suburban Centre, opened its doors.

Westmount is an older inner city neighbourhood located near the centre of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It mostly consists of low-density, single detached dwellings. As of 2009, the area is home to 2,232 residents. The neighbourhood is considered a lower-income area, with an average family income of $44,729, an average dwelling value of $162,491 and a home ownership rate of 68.9%. According to MLS data, the average sale price of a home as of 2013 was $207,347.

Bedford Road Collegiate is a public high school on the west side of the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is Saskatoon's second oldest high school, opened on February 12, 1923. It is also known as BRCI (Bedford Road Collegiate Institute), or Bedford. Bedford Road Collegiate is part of the Saskatoon Public School Division. Currently its feeder schools are Caswell Community School, Henry Kelsey School, King George Community School, Mayfair Community School,and Westmount Community School.

Caswell Hill is a district in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It derives its name from an early homesteader Robert Caswell one of the Temperance Colonists of 1883. It is an area of beautiful character homes first built ca. 1905, tiny war-time houses, and newer houses. Caswell is a thriving and diverse community nestled between two economic areas, the downtown core, and the stores lining 33rd Street West. Caswell Hill is bounded by 22nd Street to the south, H Avenue to the west, 33rd Street to the north, and Idylwyld Drive to the east.

Leif Erickson Park is a public park located in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Established in the 1960s, the park covers an area of 14.1 hectares and serves as a recreational space for the residents of the surrounding neighborhoods, including Mayfair and Kelsey-Woodlawn. In addition to offering a variety of recreational amenities, the park is named after Leif Erikson, the Norse explorer believed to have been one of the first Europeans to reach North America.

Airport Business Area is an industrial park located in the North Industrial SDA Suburban Development Area of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Industrial parks are usually located close to transport facilities, especially where more than one transport modalities coincide. The Idylwyld Drive North, Sk Hwy 11 Louis Riel Trail, and Sk Hwy 12 concurrency are all accessed directly from the Airport Business Area. The Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport is north of the Airport Business Area. Circle Drive marks the southern boundary, with access to SK Hwy 14 and Sk Hwy 16, the Yellowhead Trans Canada.

Mayfair is a neighbourhood in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mayfair started out as a community outside of the villages of Riversdale, Nutana and Saskatoon and appears as its own place name on a map of 1907. In 1909 there were 60 residences built in Mayfair, and in 1911, the City of Saskatoon had grown large enough to encompass Mayfair. Homeownership amongst the residents is at 68.2%.

The Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George was designed by architect the Very Reverend Philip Ruh, O.M.I. in 1923. It is located in Pleasant Hill, Core Neighbourhoods SDA, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and is the Episcopal See of the Bishop of the Saskatoon Eparchy.

The Landa Residence (built 1911–1913) is a designated Municipal Heritage Property located in the Riversdale, neighborhood of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Thomas E. Heath, Saskatoon's Early Fire Chief lived in the home from 1913–1915. In 1921, the house became the family residence of William and Fanny Landa, the first Jewish family to settle in Saskatoon. William Landa was a carriage maker who immigrated from Russia established the Landa Carriage Works that eventually become the Landa Auto Body Works. The building is of a Pre-World War I Prairie Vernacular architectural style.The current owners received support from the City of Saskatoon Heritage Conservation Program to restore some of the historical elements of the building.

The Saskatoon Teachers' College, originally called the Saskatoon Normal School, was a facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada for training teachers. The school occupied temporary premises at first, then moved to a handsome brick and stone building on Avenue A North in 1922. It was administered by the provincial department of education. In 1964 it was merged into the College of Education of the University of Saskatchewan, and became the Avenue A Campus.

Riversdale is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, located near the downtown area. It includes the business district of 20th Street. It consists mostly of low-density, single detached dwellings. As of 2021, the area was home to 2,534 residents.Riversdale has experienced an economic and development boom since 2012 and has even been called Canada's Next Great Neighbourhood. However, the neighbourhood is still considered a lower-income area, with (based on the 2016 Canadian Census) an estimated median personal income of $25,920, an estimated average dwelling value of $210,842 and an estimated home ownership rate of 45.5% According to MLS data, the average sale price of a home as of 2021 was $214,724.Incorporated as a town in 1905, Riversdale was one of the three original settlements that merged to form the city of Saskatoon in 1906.
