Word of God Christian Academy is a private, Christian, coeducational, primary and secondary day school located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Also known as Word of God, the school was founded in 1993. In 2015, a North Carolina think tank found that Word of God received $180,600 in public funds through the state's voucher program for lower-income students, the most of any private school.

Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School is a magnet high school in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It opened in 1997 as a magnet school with a focus on math, science, and technology. The current magnet theme is University Connections, which focuses on providing students with interactions and experiences with colleges, universities, and workplace environments while still in high school. The school operates on a modified calendar, with the fall semester usually starting in late July and with longer, more frequent breaks during the school year, completing classes before the end of May.

Coastal Credit Union Music Park (originally named Walnut Creek Amphitheatre and formerly Alltel Pavilion) is an outdoor amphitheater located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, that specializes in hosting large concerts. The amphitheater is part of a 77-acre (310,000 m2) complex, located on the west bank of Walnut Creek, southeast of Raleigh, near the I-40/US 64/I-440 (Beltline) interchange. It was built by the City of Raleigh, with private sector participation, at a cost of $13.5 million and opened on July 4, 1991, with the Connells as the inaugural act. Seating capacity is about 6,847, of which about half are under cover; the open lawn can accommodate another 13,653. The venue is operated by Live Nation Entertainment, a concert promoting company, under lease from the City of Raleigh.

North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women (NCCIW) is the primary North Carolina Department of Public Safety prison facility housing female inmates on a 30-acre (12 ha) campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, and serves as a support facility for the six other women's prisons throughout the state. The facility's inmate population, which is the largest in the state, consists of inmates from all custody levels and control statuses including death row, maximum security, close custody, medium security, minimum security, and safekeepers.

Longview Gardens Historic District is a historic post-World War II neighborhood and national historic district located 1+1⁄2 miles east of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The district encompasses 189 contributing buildings and five contributing sites. Notable contributing resources include the Raleigh Country Club golf course designed by Donald Ross, Longview Baptist Church (c. 1955) and Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church (1946), both striking examples of Modernist architecture.Developed from 1938 to 1965 by Clarence Poe, the longtime editor of The Progressive Farmer, Longview Gardens was designed by Richmond, Virginia landscape architect Charles Gillette. A student of the City Beautiful movement, Gillette's design for Longview Gardens consisted of a pattern of curvilinear streets on both sides of a designed parkway.The Longview Gardens neighborhood grew over a series of three separate phases: 1938–1940, 1948-1948, and 1959. Accordingly, its architectural styles reflect this progression, with the earliest homes constructed in the Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival styles popular before World War II and the later homes constructed in the Ranch and Split-level home styles.Longview Gardens is the largest and most artistically designed mid-20th century subdivision in Raleigh and remains largely intact today. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in January 2011.

Rochester Heights Historic District is a historic post-World War II neighborhood and national historic district located 1+1⁄2 miles southeast of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The district encompasses 137 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure and was developed between about 1957 and 1964. The homes are predominantly constructed in the Ranch and Split-level home styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in December 2011.

The Battery Heights Historic District is a historic neighborhood and national historic district located southeast of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Named for the earthen batteries stationed in the area during the Civil War, the neighborhood has a suburban character, despite its close proximity to the city center. The district is roughly bounded by East Martin Street on the north, Battery Drive on the east, East Davie Street on the south, and Sherrybrook Drive (originally Cox Street) on the west. It has a highly intact collection of 18 contributing buildings built between 1956-1964 and is a good example of Raleigh's post-World War II suburban development. Battery Heights' prominent architectural styles include Ranch and Split-Level homes primarily built in brick, stone and concrete.Battery Heights was one of a few subdivisions planned for the African American community in Raleigh. Its original owners and residents included physicians, educators, builders and government agency employees—one of whom, George Exum, was as the general contractor for several of the homes. The neighborhood is rapidly renewing since the mid-2010s and many new homes are being built on vacant lots and existing homes are being repaired. The newly renovated Robert's Park and Community Center is situated centrally in this neighborhood. The park has a children's playground, tennis court, basketball court, small baseball field and community center. Raleigh National Cemetery encompasses 7 acres in Battery Height's neighborhood. Battery Heights was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in January 2011.

WPJL (1240 kHz) is a currently silent commercial AM radio station, licensed to Raleigh, North Carolina, and serving the Research Triangle. The station, owned by WPJL, Inc., aired a Christian talk and teaching radio format before going silent on July 31, 2023. Religious leaders heard on WPJL included Adrian Rogers, J. Vernon McGee, Joyce Meyer, Jim Daly, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth and Chuck Swindoll. WPJL is authorized for 1,000 watts non-directional, with studios and transmitter site on Bart Street in Raleigh.

Raleigh National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the city of Raleigh in Wake County, North Carolina. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it encompasses 7 acres (2.8 ha), and as of the end of 2005, had 6,000 interments. It is currently closed to new interments and is maintained by New Bern National Cemetery.

Lucille Hunter GT/ AIG Basics Magnet Elementary School, also known as Hunter Magnet Elementary School, formerly Lucille Hunter School, is a historically black elementary school for academically intellectually gifted students in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Hunter Elementary offers Gifted & Talented curriculum and was Wake County's first magnet school. The school was the first school in North Carolina to be named after an African-American educator.

William G. Enloe GT/IB Magnet Center for the Humanities, Sciences and the Arts, also known as Enloe Magnet High School or Enloe High School, is a public magnet high school offering Gifted & Talented and International Baccalaureate programs located in eastern Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It is operated under the Wake County Public School System. The first integrated public high school in the city of Raleigh, it was named after William Gilmore Enloe, the Mayor of Raleigh at the time the school was opened.

John W. Ligon GT Magnet Middle School, formerly John W. Ligon Junior-Senior High School, is a public magnet middle school in the Wake County Public School System located in the Chavis Heights neighborhood of Raleigh, North Carolina. It was historically an all black high school in Raleigh until it was integrated in 1971.
