South Carolina Governor's Mansion

Lace House, also known as the Robertson House, is a historic home located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1854, and is a two-story, five bay, frame dwelling on an English basement. It features a two-story, projecting front porch with ornate cast iron porch supports, and lace-like railings and trim.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. It is located in Columbia Historic District I. The house is currently used as a wedding venue.

Caldwell–Hampton–Boylston House is a historic home located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built between 1820 and 1830, and is a three-story, five bay, clapboard clad frame dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It features a two-story, projecting front porch. Also on the property is contributing ironwork and brick fencing (c. 1855), and a stable/carriage house, garden gazebo, and tea house. In 1874–1876, it was the residence of South Carolina Reconstruction governor Daniel H. Chamberlain, who purchased the house in 1869.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is located in Columbia Historic District I.

Arsenal Hill is a neighborhood in Columbia, South Carolina. Arsenal Hill was one of the first residential neighborhoods in the city and was the site of an arsenal during the Civil War. The South Carolina Governor's Mansion is located in Arsenal Hill. The current Governor's mansion is the only building left of The Arsenal which was the sister school of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston. The remainder of The Arsenal's buildings were burned down by General William Sherman's troops during the Civil War. In recent years new residential development has been created, led by architect Matt Varner, to take advantage of the areas views of the city and its proximity to Finlay Park.

South Carolina Memorial Garden is a historic memorial garden located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was established in 1944-1945 by the Garden Club of South Carolina. It was designed by noted landscape architect Loutrel W. Briggs (1893-1977). It includes a variety of ornamental plants and complementary design elements such as a gate house or tea room (1957), tool house or gardener's shed (1949-1951), walls (1948), gates (1948), walks, fountain terrace and fountain (1951-1952), sculpture (1952, 1954), and garden furniture. It was the first memorial garden sponsored by a state garden club in the United States that recognized veterans of World War II.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Harriet M. Cornwell Tourist House is a historic tourist home for African-American patrons located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built about 1895, and is a two-story, frame American Foursquare style dwelling. It has a hipped roof and features a one-story wraparound porch. Mrs. Cornwell began operating her house as a tourist home during the 1940s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Finlay Park, at 14 acres (57,000 m2), is the largest and most visited park in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The park opened in 1991. Initially named Sidney Park, it was renamed after a former Columbia mayor Kirkman Finlay in 1994. In the park there was a scenic waterfall along with cascading mountain type stream falling to the park lake. This waterfall has remained broken for the better half of two years. There are picnic tables, two playground areas and a cafe. The park was a favorite for families, but is now home to the city's largest population of homeless people. Problems with the park have persisted and prompted local charity organizations to begin weekly food services to the people living on the park's benches. Outdoor movies are played on Friday nights during the summer months. The park is also host to numerous events and festivals, including the Sizzlin' Summer Concert Series. The free outdoor concerts (7 – 10 p.m.) run for 13 weeks beginning May 24 and include blues, beach, classical, contemporary/top 40, country, bluegrass, reggae and more. Admission is free and picnics are welcomed (glass containers, grills, pets and radios are not permitted).

Logan Elementary School is a public elementary school in Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1913. The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Wardlaw Junior High School, also known as Wardlaw Middle School, is a historic Middle school located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1926–1927, and is a three-story, rectangular brick structure with a central courtyard. It features Gothic window tracery, arched entrances with one-story porches, and decorative cast stone panels. It was the first junior high school building in South Carolina.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The J. Bratton Davis United States Bankruptcy Courthouse is a courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, located in Columbia, South Carolina. It was originally constructed in 1936, under the supervision of architect Harold Tatum. The courthouse is named for J. Bratton Davis, a bankruptcy judge first appointed in 1978 who later became Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina, and he served in that capacity until 2000. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, having been added to the list on March 2, 1979.

Jefferson Square, an office complex in downtown Columbia, South Carolina, is the headquarters of the state's Department of Health and Human Services which oversees the Medicaid program for South Carolinians. Located at 1801 Main St. in the city's historic Arsenal Hill neighborhood, the complex includes a 15-story, 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m2) office tower and a two-story courtyard plaza. Also on the Jefferson Square block (bordered by Laurel, Assembly, Richland, and Main) are the offices of Wilson-Kibler real estate, two parking garages, a parking lot, and the Arsenal Hill Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Elmwood Park is a residential neighborhood and historic district in what is now the center of Columbia, South Carolina. Founded in the early 1900s, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Elmwood Park Historic District in 1991.

Sidney Park Colored Methodist Episcopal Church, also known as Sidney Park Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1893, and is a brick Late Gothic Revival style church. It features the only set of octagonal towers in Columbia; each is topped by an octagonal steeple. The church also has lancet windows and pointed arches, wall buttresses, and a heavy timber truss system. The African-American congregation has a long history of involvement with civil rights activity and connection with the NAACP.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
