Monterreal Castle is a castle in Baiona (Pontevedra), Spain. Construction began in the 12th century and was completed in the 16th century. It now serves as a tourist attraction and houses a Parador hotel. Three of the castle's towers are preserved: the Reloj tower, the Tenaza tower with a heptagonal base and the Príncipe tower. The Castle is defended by the Puerta del Sol, a ramp with a lifting bridge and the three large towers.The first appearance of the castle in record dates from the year 60, when Julius Caesar conquered Baiona. Apart from the Romans, the Visigoths and Muslims also left their marks in the Monterreal Castle, whose name was given by the Catholic Monarchs.

Nigrán is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, northwestern Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Vigo and the Vigo metropolitan area. Nigrán has a surface of 35 km2, with a population of approximately 18,000 people divided into seven parishes: Nigrán, Panxón, San Pedro, Parada, Camos, Chandebrito and Priegue. Nigran's population practically triples in the summer months. It is on the Atlantic coast of Spain and is considered a summer destination for tourists due to its beaches and mild summer weather.

Baiona is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Vigo. It is a tourist town with a medieval historical center situated by the outlet of the Vigo Bay. Its population of just over 11,000 rises to around 45,000 in summer, if one includes the tourists. Since it is on the Portuguese Way, one pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago 30,000 hikers also visit the town every year. Other than tourism the major economic activities revolve around fishing.

The Virgin of the Rock is a 15-meter high stone sculpture of the Virgin Mary, with a viewpoint accessible from within, located on Mount Sansón (or Mount San Roque), at 100 m above sea level, in the Rías Baixas, within the municipality of Pontevedra, Spain.

Gondomar is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Vigo. It was the hometown of Don Diego Sarmiento de Acuña, conde de Gondomar, one of the most renowned diplomats of Spanish imperial times, the main instigator of the "Spanish Match" that would have joined Charles I of England and the Infanta Maria Anna in marriage.

Coruxo Fútbol Club is a Spanish football club based in the parish of Coruxo, Vigo, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1930 it plays in Segunda Federación – Group 1, holding home matches at O Vao, with a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The association also has its own futsal section, amongst others. In December 2010 Óscar Pereiro, a former Tour de France winner, joined the club after retiring from cycling and appeared for its reserves.

Isla de Toralla (Galician: Illa de Toralla) is a small island off the south coast of the Ría de Vigo in Galicia, Spain. It lies about 400 metres from Vao beach and is connected to the mainland by a bridge built in the 1960s. The island has a surface area of 10.6 hectares and had 159 residents in 2023.

Samil Beach (Galician: Praia de Samil, Spanish: Playa de Samil) is the principal beach of Vigo in Galicia in north-west Spain. Located near the Cíes Islands, the mouth of the river Lagares is found at its west end. The beach is 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) long and is connected with the urban public transport, and disabled access is available during the summer. Several Vitrasa urban public transport lines connect it with different areas of the city. Those lines are: L10, C15A, C15B and C15C during the whole year, C3 during the summer, and the night lines CN1 and CN2. Around Samil, several services have been created: museums (such as "Museo do Mar" and "Verbum"), several catering premises, clubs and cafés. Its promenade covers the littoral zone and it offers several leisure facilities (three public swimming pools, garden areas, basketball courts, a mini-soccer court, tennis and paddle courts, a skating rink, and terraces).

Tebra Castle is a castle located in Pontevedra province, Galicia, Spain. The Tebra Castle is sited in the Tomiño valley. The river Tebra, tributary of the Miño, flows through this valley. Alonso Gómez Churruchao was the owner in 1345, but Pedro Álvarez de Soutomaior took possession of the Castle in 1468. Between 1481 and 1486, Don Fernando de Acuña, on behalf of the Catholic Monarchs, (Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile), destroyed the castle and later it belonged to Alvaro Suarez de Deza. The Queen Juana la Loca authorized the rebuilding of the castle and it was owned by the Count of Camiña one year later. The battlements, the sentry box and the cornice are specially beautiful. But, undoubtedly, the Renaissance tower is the most outstanding element of the Castle. After the Catholic Monarchs ordered the destruction of this tower, Alvaro Suarez Deza rebuilt it in 1532. The two sides of the Tower have an extraordinary dimension of approximately 26 feet (8m) wide. The Castle of Tebra has four floors: the ground floor and other three floors. The most remarkable parts of the Castle are its wide viewpoint, a gallery with semicircular arches, a large tower and a chapel. The Castle is in good condition and it is in the municipality of O Seixo, Tomiño. Nowadays the castle is a residence of private property but visitors can have free access to the outdoor part of the castle.

The Stellantis Vigo plant (Centro de Vigo de Stellantis) is a Spanish car manufacturing and assembly plant in the province of Pontevedra, Galicia, (Spain) owned by Stellantis (the successor of Groupe PSA). In April 1958, Citroën, responding to the high tariff barriers that protected Spain's domestic auto-makers, established the Vigo car plant in Galicia. As of 2020, the Vigo car plant is one of the largest employers in the region employing roughly 6,500 workers. It is the company's largest plant outside France and employs mainly outsourced workers.

Real Club Celta de Vigo (Galician pronunciation: [reˈal ˈkluβ ˈθeltɐ ðɪ ˈβiɣʊ]; lit. 'Royal Celtic Club of Vigo'), commonly known as Celta de Vigo or simply Celta, is a Spanish professional football club based in Vigo, Galicia, that competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football. Nicknamed Os Celestes (The Sky Blues), the club was founded in August 1923 as Club Celta, following the merger of Real Vigo Sporting and Real Fortuna. The club's home stadium is Balaídos, which seats 24,791 spectators. The club's name is derived from the Celts, a people who once lived in the region. Celta have a long-standing rivalry with fellow Galician club Deportivo La Coruña, with whom they contest the Galician derby. Celta have never won the league title nor Copa del Rey, although they have reached the final three times in the latter. The club finished in their best-ever position of fourth in 2002–03, qualifying for the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League, where they were eliminated by Arsenal in the round of 16. In the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League, Celta reached the semi-finals for the first time, losing to Manchester United. In 2000, Celta were one of the co-winners of the UEFA Intertoto Cup.

Estadio Baltasar Pujales is a football stadium in Bouzas, Vigo, Spain, that hosts the home matches of Rapido de Bouzas. It can hold up to 2500 people. The stadium was renovated in 2009.
